Going back to check earlier posts, we estimated we'd have about 3 hours and 20 minutes or so before we *have* to get out of the area. The clock on the slides shows us at 2:10 so we've got a little over an hour left to look around and do stuff. I think we've looked around in most of the rooms here at this point so if we want to search the books and the student rooms - especially since those should be able to be done all in the same 10 minutes by different people - then we can probably afford to take the time.

"If you don't have a weapon, take this," Bee says, offering her sickle to Larraz. "And Desert Wind is okay - he wasn't hurt when we found him, just hungry. But we found some feed that was still good inside what's left of the general store so now he's not as hungry. We found a wagon and got it repaired and our plan was to hitch Desert Wind to it to help us get what remains and artifacts we can out of here." She looks around, still wary. "We've got a little more time before we have to leave this place. Stick with us while we finish looking around, it's safer that way." "Well, I think we might have a solution on how to carry any remains - and these relics - back out with us," Bee reports after nosing around the armory for a moment. "There's an old wag-" And that's as far as she gets before Qen immediately heads over to have a look and start tinkering with the thing. "Uh...yeah, an old wagon. I'm sure Qen can fix it without any trouble at all. Now, if we can get Desert Wind calmed down, he can probably help pull it along. We'd have to travel on the roads if we use the wagon but it would be faster than walking...so I suppose the risk is worth it." Bee considers what there is left to do and what she herself might be best suited to be doing. "Hmm...Macondi and Barak, you two seem to have a way with words and people. Maybe one of you can try to see to Desert Wind while Qen works on the wagon and the rest of us can finish looking around?" Bee's got a +5 Diplomacy but Macondi & Barak have better :) Assuming there's enough time, Bee heads back into the armory to have a more thorough look around - just to make sure they don't miss anything important.

Maybe that's what our bags are for; we should check them before we build litters." Bee gets to her feet again and looks around. "I'm going to check some of the shelves and drawers here, to see if there are any papers or other things we should take back with us."

Bee watches as her companions either start powerwalking or melding into the shadows in order to escape the notice of the oncoming undead. For lack of a better idea, she grabs a huge rock and throws it off in a different direction than the one they're heading in... "No questions," Bee answers, her expression solemn. "By the light of the Sun, we'll find our missing allies and bring them home." Before the group sets out, Bee takes a moment to visit the quartermaster and choose from a selection of items available to agents of her caliber. She eyes the vials of holy water for a long moment but finally settles on a minor healing potion.
As the group reaches a rather steep rise, Bee pauses and eyes the terrain. "Hm...I know a little about getting around in the wilds but I'm not sure how efficient of a guide I might be trying to help get us up this hill." Bee has a +4 to Survival but I think someone else has better. Barring any other less-strenuous options, the leshy takes a deep breath and attempts to barrel up the rise... Check (DC 16 Athletics): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 ...and makes it up without much effort at all, not even needing to use her hands to do so. "Woo! That wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be." She turns and peers back down at her companions. "Anyone need a rope? I've got some rope!" Vine Leshy: Not sure if this counts as a Climb check but if it does, being a Vine Leshy turns any climbing successes into critical successes.

Bee blinks, the situation seeming to have been resolved nearly as quickly as she'd registered it in the first place. "Huh. Crisis averted then?" She gives the half-elf woman a bit of a look. "I hope your feline friend isn't hungry for plants next. Does he always act like this?"

"Oh, are we talking about shields? I might be able to help with that too." A leshy sporting a chain shirt and a steel shield strapped across her back comes striding into the room. Her physical body looks to be a mass of hard vines, twisted and woven into humanoid shape, and pale yellow and white flowers sprout from her head, bobbing gently with every movement. A carved wooden holy symbol hangs about her neck, depicting an angelic ankh. She studies everyone that's gathered so far for just a moment and then smiles. "Or maybe I should be a student as well. Some of you look like you've already seen a battle or three!" The leshy holds a closed fist up to her chest and bows to the group. "I'm Good-News Bee, but you can call me Bee or Good-News, or News, or Ginby (GNB), or...well, basically if it's close enough, I'll answer to it." |
