Well, we had two GMs. It looks like we can still send a PM to SleepingSnorunt, so he must not be banned.
Anyway, best of luck, all. I'm disappointed we never got to Altheria, but it was fun killing sea-goblins with you guys.
I'm checking every day. But yeah, unexpected/unexplained delays like this can be a campaign killer.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
As the cultist's knife scrapes harmlessly across Gnixgnox's armor, the gnome chuckles and swings again.
Attaxe: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 3 + 1 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7
"I should have brought Chunks. He'd have chewed you up, by now."
"Rude!", Gnixgnox declares when the lantern falls.
Now gripping his axe two-handed, he swings...
Concealment; 1 hits, 2 misses: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Attaxe: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
...but despite having a sense of where the cultist is, he misses.

His face contorted into a snarl, Gnixgnox charges the robed figure.
Attack with battleaxe... Attaxe?: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 1 = 4
His AC is down 2 this round because of the charge, and an additional 2 for the entire battle because he's holding the lantern instead of the shield. If there are any other attacker's that's another -2 vs. them because of the cavalier challenge. Oh boy.
Thanks. Was Gnixgnox able to hang the lantern somewhere where it will stay dry? Or is he still carrying it in his off hand?
Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
And just to clarify, since everyone has the feat, anyone who charges grants everyone else a +2 attack. The bonus doesn't stack, of course, but it should increase the duration.
If there's a place for Gnixgnox to hang the lantern above the water line, he'll do so. Then, he'll turn to the hooded silhouette.
"That's enough out of you and your smelly water goblin words! FIGHT ME!"
Cavalier challenge - swift action
I've asked in the discussion thread if we can charge down here. If we can, I'll use a standard action to use the cavalier's Tactician ability to give everyone Distracting Charge for 3 rounds. If we can't charge, Gnixgnox will start advancing towards the figure.
How deep is the water we're in? Deep enough to prevent charging?
After hearing the chanting coming from the other side of the door, Gnixgnox whispers to Tholl, "I was kinda thinking Andross was crazy!" Gnixgnox gets into the bilge as soon as he can so that the lantern can be useful there.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 5 = 24

Carrying the lantern Harvey gave them, Gnixgnox follows the rest of the group that followed Andross.
Gnixgnox (and the others helping Harvey?) follow after the others.
SyrioForel wrote: We will move on if the last 2 don't post by tonight. Who are the last two? If I'm one of them, I'm still waiting to see if Harvey has anything response to the last thing Gnixgnox said.
After the last of the animals are penned (I guess?), Gnixgnox responds to Harvey.
"Yes, of course, but Andross is leading everyone to some sort of violent confrontation. Let's sort that out, first, and then I'll be happy to help."
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Gnixgnox stands up... Move action
Handle Animal: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
...and attempts to calm the animals or do whatever he can to return the animals to their pens. Move action
"Look for the cultist, I'll catch up!"
Acrobatics: 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (11) - 6 = 5 That's an additional -8 if this is a jump check!
Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

I think he was, at least that's what our lists say.
I only ask because I couldn't find him anywhere in the thread before that. I was trying to see if Gnixgnox had had any sort of interaction with him. Not a big deal; I just wanted to know if I was missing something.
Gnixgnox hurriedly waves over everyone who thinks Andross is being aggressive to him so that they don't get the wrong impression. And he also waves over poor, clueless Grunval. And he waves over Agroob before he tries to throw a bomb into a headwind. And...
Basically, he finds an excuse to gather all of the PCs to help out.
Andross wasn't around on the Maribosa before the survivors of the Diademe joined up, right?
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Wide-eyed, Gnixgnox asks Andross, "What if they're on the Pluton?"
Please make sure you nest spoilers within spoilers to maximize the experience.
Knowledge: Nature: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
To see what I can determine about the storm. Anything unusual about it, severity, how long before we meet it, etc.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Gnixgnox scratches Chunks behind the ears, and stops him from sniffing curiously at Aya.
Gnixgnox's eyes dart from side to side before he slowly nods conspiratorially with Andross.
"My best guess is that the sea-goblins were looking for food. When we killed enough of them, they decided to eat their dead instead of become dead. Probably that's it, maybe!"
Hi, guys!
GMs: Tholl and Gnixgnox both travelled with the Nomads of Zarith in their backstories. Perhaps they know each other?
Also, I think it's funny that our three new recruits have a sort of theme going for them: Aya is afraid of dogs, Tholl has a dog companion, and Agroob carries a dogslicer weapon.
What's the word here, guys? I haven't seen a Recruitment thread.
Andostre wrote: SyrioForel wrote: Are Grunval and Gnixgnox still here?
Should I start another recruitment thread?
You've heard from us, but what do you and SleepingSnorunt think?
We've lost momentum, but the campaign can still go on, in my opinion. Whoops. This is Gnixgnox, by the way.
Grunval Dugenhal wrote: I concur with Gnixgnox About this campaign, or about life in general? Because I have some GREAT ideas about politically-sensitive topics I'd love to count your support on. You don't even have to say anything! I'll just link to your profile and say, "This guy agrees with me."
Yes, I'm still here. I kind of feel like we should have botted Anatha to keep the momentum going, but I also should have said something at the time.
I'm down with recruiting two more people. If Anatha comes back, that only potentially makes this six people, and the way pbp goes, we'll likely lose one or two more people, so that would put us back in range. If Anatha doesn't come back, then two more people will put us back in range, immediately.
Thanks for the update. Good luck.
SyrioForel wrote: As you climb up the ladder you see Jaspar red faced and sweating like crazy shouting at the Captain.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN "THEY JUST TOOK THE RAFTS AND WENT!!!"
"And about 20 men are alive because of it!" Gnixgnox chirps happily as he scrambles aboard. Chunks runs up to him happily and nuzzles the gnome, distracting him from being yelled about.
How many men did we save aboard the Diademe?
Gnixgnox retrieves his lance and then goes over to comfortingly pat Alayne's hand.
"They died well. Keep in mind that aside from saving the sailors on the Diademe, the supplies aboard this ship are going to aid the entire community at the fort in Altheria.
"Are you injured?"
Well, it doesn't look like I can climb, right now, but that's my preferred action. If I'm wrong and I can climb, the modifier is the same as my attack roll, below.
Laughing at the unpredictability of life, and how Gnixgnox told everyone that HE was going to secure the top, and that they should give Hanzir some ranged support (and an extra chuckle that he doesn't have any ranged weapons), the gnome draws his axe and swings it at any grindylow he sees.
attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Does Alayne's boat have a rope and grappling hook? If so, has it been thrown?
Blind Lance Hurl™: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Ha ha ha! Of course. Just in case:
crit confirm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
crit damage: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 3) + 2 = 6
Gnixgnox jabs spear at the same grindylow that Hanzir is attacking...
Reach attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
..and screams in frustration.
He hurls his lance as hard as he can onto the Diadem.
I don't know if this needs a roll. I'm just trying to get the lance onto the ship because Gnixgnox can't climb the rope with it, and I don't want him to lose it.
"Help Hanzir out with ranged attacks, and then start following me up the rope! I'll secure the top so the rest of you can climb up!"
Gnixgnox then prepares to climb the rope. Which will be his action for next round.
"Get on board the ship and guard the rope!"
Gnixgnox switches places with Kaylee and stabs at the grindylow at the prow of the other dinghy.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Bleah.
Are any of the crew in the other boat dead?
Hanzir Majjal wrote: Hanzir takes the potion and pours it down Gnixgnox's throat
(sigh)
Hanzir's initiative is before Gnixgnox's, so Gnixgnox was still at -1 when he took the potion, so now he's at 1 hp! He's fiiiiiiine!
Gnixgnox's head jerks around wildly as he takes in the situation. He grabs his lance and stands up.
So, standing up is his action, I believe. But here's a roll in case he gets an AoO, keeping in mind that he has a two-square reach.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Well, nevermind.
Good luck, Kaylee. Thanks for letting us know.
Gnixgnox's face shows a split-second of surprise before his eyes roll up into his head and he collapses.
He's at -1.
