GM Rutseg, I am checking back. There is no hurry with the chronicles. Just wondering if you had a new estimate on when they would be finished.

Did I miss them, have we been directed to a link to get chronicles? Just making sure I have not missed the obvious.

That was a wicked combat. Incorporeal monster inside of a mercenary with the ability to summon dretches and us with no armor or full weapons.

Giladref looks over anything the mercenary had looking for clues as to why the attack happened like orders or a note.

"What a weird turn of events!" "This is one wedding I will want to drink to forget not merely have it as a consequence of stupid indulgence."

He will also check out the halberd after the spell fades.

Very enjoyable! Thank you for running this scenario, GM Rutseg. It has a killer ending. Thanks also to the others in the group for the interaction. I really liked reading all the great posts.

Looking at the initiative order. I think Giladref can go.

Round 9
Having thrown the halberd, Giladref will move back to the position just inside the tent. He will pull out his wand if shield, too.

"I'm back. Where did he go?"

Round 8
Giladref will move out another 30' and throw the halberd as far away as possible.
I did not hear back, so best to be safe and move another movement away before throwing the thing. However the map does not have room. I am 30' straight out from the south (bottom) door. I will leave my token as I plan to return to the same spot next round.

Giladref makes for the nearest exit to hurl the halberd away. there are probably rules on how far you can throw a halberd. If it is less then 40', Giladref will double move and hurl it next round. Else he will hurl it as far away a possible.

I want to find out, "why Michaella?". Why did a back water Viking have to marry the most eligible bachelorette in the inner sea? This is silly. Elinor or Elaine or whatever the other sisters name is is a much better fit for a viking. No way someone can be Michaella and fool everyone. Most likely the mother will find out and blame us somehow. I think this prophecy is vague and probably is a little flexible also. Giladref pushed forth this opinion but with a weak effort (what a time to roll a three).

That type stuff sounds more like Elianor, the sister brave and strong who adventures. Not some winey Noble used to servants and all. Are you sure? Were they wearing name tags? Prophecies can be vague or tricky. My money would be on Elianor as the woman you need. She by this deception could be 'a Michaella' of sorts. What is in a name anyway?"

Giladref is chaotic and loves the turmoil of it all, but is still concerned for the mission to impress. If we are found out to have known about this and it all blows up, any good will we created will be gone.
Really Giladref is not the one getting married so if the switch works he could be okay with it. I would like to hear from Michaella, the one in the boat, that she is okay with it and not going to eventually cause a problem. How does Olaf know that MIchealla and not Elaine will not work just fine for the prophesy. Might the safer solution of Elaine marrying the Viking and Michealla staying with Damian work as well?

I don't think very many people in my experience pay much attention to the discussion thread. I am guilty of this often. It almost seems unnecessary. However, I am bored and will type away anyway.

With the site going crazy and crashing every two minutes, do the rules of gameday require us to finish prior to the end date? It is not really important to me. I have one other pbp going and it is moving about the same.

Is anyone in the know about the new iconic character they revealed? Why is a new iconic character required? Are they making more classes? Gosh, I hope not. I can't keep up with the ones they have now especially when you consider all the archetypes available. It is one reason I have shied away from GMing lately. I guess Paizo must keep making new angles and different products or the game will not make any money. Core campaign may be my final destination if things keep broadening. But, it is hard to find even on pbp.

Well, just wondering...

Looking forward to seeing how things play out in this scenario...

Giladref left his composite longbow at home. He does have two wands with him , a wand of shield and a wand of grease. If the guard questions him about them he will reply, "They are for defense only. One to protect and one to disarm until able bodied guard such as yourself can get the situation under control."
Giladref's only weapon is a dagger. Which he will gladly allow to be peace bonded.
He also has his components pouch and backpack with change of clothes, his spell book, and a potion of clw. He also has 3 scrolls in it as well.

Are we 3 to 2 with second boat winning?

"Well, the extra time would be nice, but I am not sure how it helps with a party, unless you pitch in to help set up." "We are not setting up an ambush afterall." Giladref seems to ponder the issue."Arriving early would ensure you did not miss any events while still on the water."

"I wonder what we will be allowed to have on us for weapons." "I did hear something about safety lashings." "My longbow with its arrows is probably out."

"Yes, I still think the second boat is best."

Giladref will make do with his traveling clothes. They are clean and well maintained. He realizes he will be a little "exotic" no matter how well dressed or not well dressed he can get. "As for boats, I would like time but I can manage without."

I prefer the second, but will go with the groups decision.

Giladref has traveler's clothes a plenty but nothing nice. He hustles to a tailor within the Society and picks up a courtier's outfit and a signet ring. His amulet should also help adorn him as a guest.
30gp and 5gp provided there is time.

"There might be 500 people there. Surely there are particular names of folks you want us to concentrate on? Is it just the family? Are there any rivals we should look out for?"

Giladref pummels Capt. Valsin with question hoping one will strike a nerve and get a response.

"I understand also." "Impress and delight and don't start a fight." "I like the big boat with people."
