Giacomo steps up to Sir Thames. "Good Evening sir. It appears business is booming! We have a nice variety of goods we are looking to barter - some armor, variety of weapons, alchemical creations. Is our previous arrangement of 70% still good? What new goods have you acquired that may interest us?"

Giacomo raises an eyebrow at Sylvan. "The King of Spiders, the dangerous kingpin who rules the den of evil but pays his vice taxes... who will set lose his patrons' ships and light them on fire for near any slight... who executes his own guards for any slip up - feeding them to his pet. But we can ask around if he deserves it..."

Giacomo raises an eye brow at Andreas before chuckling to himself.

Giacomo turns to the group and translates the bargain from draconic to common.

"It seems the Drakes have the same interest as Lady Vulpina and Kip - they will help if we agree to assassinate Devargo. Also... you all should really learn draconic so we can avoid translating."

Giacomo is in favor of helping out - though our spells aren't powerful enough for significant help in the theft... and we don't use Illusion magic.

with the Drakes...
"Noble House Drakes, we come to beseech your help in saving one of your own. They are held prisoner and tortured daily and we were asked to help them. Majenko is their name and they will not survive many more beatings. Would you help us?"

Giacomo turns laughing. "Now that's funny. 5000 coin for a sickly dragon. I'll just go buy a fresh pseudodragon for a couple hundred."

As Devargo dismisses the group... Giacomo turns to go. before looking back with a wry smile.

"Looks like you have a House Drake there. Sickly.. last legs? Interesting. Any interest in parting with it? Could prove useful, even at death's door..."

Giacomo seems very distracted throughout the conversations... as if deep in reflective thought.

earlier discussing the plan Giacomo shakes his head at Kip's bloodlust.
"Do as you are told. Rebel against your instructions. These are very boring decrees.
We are paid to do a job.
While bribe money is a bonus, it isn't the job and it isn't as much as the next three jobs we lose when you muck up the work. So sit back, look intimidating and be ready when the obvious opportunity eventually arrives - because we all know skulls will get bashed in at some point."

Giacomo is standing completely non-chalant... completely uninterested in fighting.

Giacomo smirks as he quietly observes the meat in the window, trying to figure out why it wasn't given for free...

"Actually... I want to know what he has to say. I am curious about this guy. So getting his side of it before insisting on escorting him in. Would help to know the underside of the people we are working for."

"May seem strange, but I think knocking on the door and talking to them is our best bet here. Besides - I am curious...."

I assume we are going with the +1 Merciful Rapier for Vulpina and +1 Merciful Warhammer for Kip? And Giacomo will take the Merciful lesser metamagic rod for now.

After we are alone....

Giacomo turns to the group out of earshot of the soldiers... "I found some interesting information on this Verik character last night. Riddleport street rat turned ambitious Korvosan Guard. Though his promotion to Watch Sergeant has discrepancies in the records - as if she was pushed up the ranks by an outside influence."

Giacomo smirks and shakes his head at Andreas but stays quiet.

"Oathbreakers. I am on board with dealing with that. Too bad we don't have a Merciful weapon for Kip to use. I will need a few hours to become familiar with the library and research alternatives."

"Sounds pretty lucrative. What kind of services?"

Giacomo remains quiet and respectful through the formal affair.

Giacomo looks at Andreas intently...

Giacomo bows his head in respect "Pleasure to meet you Ms Merrin." as he hands over the invitation.

In response to her introduction question, Giacomo gestures to his brother "The brothers Isidore, I am Giacomo and this is Andreas."

Giacomo pulls an envelope from his robe. "Here is our invitation sir." and hands it over

As the eagle rips into the corpse one last time before disappearing, Giacomo steps forward to crouch over the body.

"impressive swing Kip. you should get enlarged more often."

Giacomo, appearing satisfied, stands up and prepares to continue on.

Giacomo steps to the side and tosses a Ray of frost at the beast.

Welp. if that failed, you at least still have the try on Andrea's turn :D

actually Andreas.... prior to that...

As the Otyugh grabs Vulpina and starts to draw her in, Giacomo casts Liberating command.

immediate action, she gets an escape artist check at +6 to get out!
may as well try to avoid that constrict damage after all.

Giacomo looks at the creature for only a moment.

With that, Giacomo summmons his preferred Fiendish Eagle.

He grins that it didn't take too much out of him.

"It is what you are paying us for yes."

Giacomo tries to get a decent view of the situation.

Turning his attention to the others "We should all invest in a variety of weapons. Silver blunt weapons for any further imps, cold iron should we meet any demons or Fey in the future."

And to Kayson: "I assume you can see to this noble's safety? He had a nasty run in with some angry locals. Any other work you can commission us for?"

"You all fell under the influence of a Suggestion spell. A spell of the Enchantment school designed to influence the target into a reasonable course of activity. Unfortunately the effects can last for hours or until the activity is concluded."

Giacomo gives a silent but confused eyebrow raise at Andreas....

"Make a few coins best we can. You and your friends need to be more careful. An armed bodyguard would do you well. We are headed to the guardhouse to turn in the bounty on these if you want to follow."

"Haha So true Andreas." Giacomo pushes right up to the nobleman with a display of the imps to him before a quick hug, whispering in his ear "play along" and leaving an arm around his shoulder says "This will wring a few more coins out of them nobles' purses! should be good eating for a week!"

Giacomo takes the lead and pushes into the crowd, holding a dead imp in each hand. As he gets nearer to the nobleman Giacomo calls out loudly. "There he is Andreas! Johnny! That nobleman getup worked! We got those bastard Imps!" Giacomo emphasizes his statement by holding high a bloody imp.

Giacomo watches as the Drakes attack fiercely, seemingly to study both the Imps and the Drakes.

Giacomo grimaces as the imp attacks. He steps back to conjure a frost magic at the Imp.

"Foolish little pests. Suggestions may work on these, but you will find they are less effective on the Isidores."

Giacomo quickly casts a summon.

Giacomo thinks for a moment.

"I am pretty sure i can find some Imps. Do you have some authorization documents in case we are questioned by inquiring guards or soldiers?"

Giacomo asks for the ledger from the party and sets it on the desk.

"I don't suppose a complete ledger of Lamm's dealings would count? though i suppose you would also need a key to decode it.... which we also just happen to have."

"Out there, I doubt it would do much good. But I do believe this might be of interest to you and your paperwork."

Giacomo passes the bounty sheet for the brooch. "I imagine it will be profitable to you and us."
