It Begins As you go about your final hours of peace... the sounds of disaster ring from the town square. Soon, the dead walk the streets of Spinner's Well. Holed up in your current locations you soon realize that as the night continues... there may be no salvation. However, morning brings a glimpse of hope. The undead seem to retreat to darkened areas during the day. It is now Day 1 - Round 1/6. As mentioned previously, you need only describe where you wish to go, and the general gist of what you want to do. I'm hoping Days won't take too long to go through. I suggest you make appropriate skill checks as you move around so I don't need to ask for them. Best of luck! EDIT: Fixed map
Here's the long awaited discussion thread. I'm sorry for the slow update friends. I'm having an exam week at college and I thought I'd be fine. Seems to not be the case. I'll have a ton of free time starting Friday. Apologies to all. An update on the gameplay, I'll have the Map of Spinster's Well up very soon for everyone including a timeline for everyone to see where we're at.

Perfect, exactly what I;m looking for.
I may not have been as clear as possible :P This is the three hours before anything occurs and then the reason why you happen to be at the safe location. In other words: - How were your last three hours of normal life spent
I apologize if my instructions were unclear
Welcome, gentlemen (and ladies? Any ladies?)... to the Last Stand. But before we dive into an endless bloodbath of zombies I need to know a very specific thing: What did you do in the last three hours, and how/why did you make it your area? Area 1: The Fat Pony is a wonderful tavern on the east of town. Cheap beer and rooms all accounted for. Area 3: The Lighthouse stands on the south end of town past the harbor. It's tall and made of stone... so good for you. Area 4: The Wolfcap Estate stands on the Briar Hill to the north of town. It's owner is strangely missing. Once I know what you did in the last 3 hours, I'll grant additional items and supplies. From there, we'll fall to the 6 Block/Day routine and continue until no players are left. Experience is earned throughout the game and is split between all players who participate in a fight.
I'm a sucker for large parties. And in a survival game, we may lose people rather quickly. So in any case, I've gone and decided to keep all 12 characters. Now that we have that done with, I recommend everyone read the Last Stand on Hallow's Eve rules below before getting started. ===
Last Stand plays out really quickly. I will have a link to the Known Map of Spinter's Well on a google doc that you will be able to check at all times. Zombies are very much nocturnal and won't come out during the day. Use this time to search for equipment, food, water and medicine. At night, the monsters come prowling so I suggest you find time to head on back. Usually the day will be split into six "four hour blocks". There are 4 Day Blocks and 2 Night Blocks. Actions are assumed to take up a block of time. This will reduce complexity. Now, let me just roll up where everyone starts... When game begins (Sat-Sun) check to see where you begin and who you begin with. Clyde McClod Starting Place: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Good luck and may the best survivor win.
Last Stand on Hallow's Eve This short adventure is a deathmatch survival game. The PCs play as survivors in the town of Spinster's Well. The adventure begins just as a horde of zombies shamble into town. The PCs will have three hours of actions to gather resources, reinforce their position and plan for the onslaught. After that, the PCs need to survive for as long as possible. Salvation may not be an option. Essentially, we're seeing just how long you can all hold off the horde? PCs can be of any class but must be human. 20 point buy, average wealth, max hit points at 1st level. Further questions can be asked below. |
