my computer godt picked up for service, so i can only post from work. You can dmpc Gharz if i slow the action down

Nyrsildur cast sleep on the group, while Gharz starts chanting casting protection from evil on Aurion

Gharzarana cast web in the area he last saw all three of them

it looks like that no-one will attack until the ogre and oni are 80ft (charge range)away from the party

at 100ft away
the Oni seems to see something (looking at zarrosh's direction!)
he yells danger and disappears

suprise has been ruined so we will go to iniative (i will send a battle map)

Nyrsildur tried to create a diversion and get them to follow him into the woods. Didn't they react to that?

Nyrsildur flies off, using greater invisibility on himself.
He becomes visible in front of them "Oh my, never have I laid my eyes upon such ugly beast as yourself" he says and quickly flies away from them, in the opposite direction of the party, becoming invisible as he flies behind a tree.

Raven how do you rule spell effects works when the target isn't aware it has been targeted by a spell? If i were to cast confusion from hiding and one of them saved, would it know it had been targeted by a spell?

Nyrsildur hides in the woods and cast sleep (dc 14) on the two ogres just before they reach the woman. If one of them resist Gharz cast web (dc 18) on him. If they both go down he cast obscurrig mist instead, trying to hide the area with the ogres so we can kill or capture them without being to obvious

Gharz can ue ghost sound, dancing lights, obscurring mist, silent image and summon spells to distract them.
He can use web, confusion, black tentacles, resilient sphere to catch them or knock them out, and his familiar can cast sleep and Gharz breath can also make them sleep.

How suspicious would an Obscurring mist spell be at night time? It would help us sneak in more easily.

"Well, I do have a spell that will let us find out what is inside that hall without entering it. Seeing how you are already skilled in sneaking around Ungorallin, maybe i should accompany you invisible and together we can find out what is going on here? Only problem will be getting back, since once i cast my spell the invisibility will wear off."

I suggest Ungorralin sneaks in with Gharzarana and Nyrsildur, both invisible. When we are closer to the hall, Gharz can cast Clairvoyance/Clairaudience and we can find out what is what

Before leaving Gharz will consult with the others about wich spells to remember for the day

"I have spells that will let me turn one of you, or even our whole group at once invisible and another that will open a dimension door a short distance as well. For scouting I can conjure a magical sensor that lets me hear and see through it. For spells that could be of help I have invisibilty, invisibility sphere, dimension door, clairvoyance/clairaudiance, comprehend language, tongue, charm person and detect thoughts

before we confirm that its a pseudodragon, you can have a faerie dragon familar as that is a proper dragon and a bit tougher!!
BTW if you take leadership feat your familar can take levels

where can i find stats for a faerie dragon?

That ended up taking a lot more time than I thought it would, as my grandfather died this weekend and all of the sudden i had a lot of family obligations to attend.
But my connection is back so i'm ready for action again.

The tiny dragon takes to the air and starts circling Talwyn playfully.

From what Rav said, we should not think about CR but about HD. A juvenile brass dragon is be 4+6=10HD whereas a young one is 4+4=8HD

Juvenile is CR base+5 and a brass dragons base CR is 3. A young brass dragon is CR 7 while i juvenile is CR 8 unless i'm totally wrong.

The mist starts to gain a more substantial form and soon a large bison appears. With a snort the large animal rears and attacks the hill giant h4 from h/i 14/15

Gharzarana works furiously on his shell but he wasn't build to break things down. He can hear muffled sound of what he think is fighting outside his egg. At last he manages to claw his way through and stretches his wings with a roar.

He immediately takes in the scene and takes to the air. He moves over Zarrosh where he says a fast string of words in draconic.

Move to D14 and Cast haste.
