If there's still room, I'd like to play with Garzen, my dwarf Kinetic Knight. I'm slowly returning to PbP after school stole me away for a few months, so excuse me if I'm not at my best when we begin.

Got mine, and everything looks right. Thank you very much for the game, and I hope to play with y'all again!

Shouldn't I stop being frightened? I've been frightened for two rounds already.

Garzen keeps running away and stands shaking at the wall for a few seconds before regaining his bearings.

Will vs. Fear (assuming it's a spell/SLA): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

"Oh heavens, I am afraid", says Garzen in his signature monotonous and emotionless voice, then turns on the spot and starts making his way away from the aggressors.

Garzen carefully steps onto the shards of glass, trying to use the Aspis agent's confusion from Dio's stance to land a more accurate blow.

Kinetic Blade + Flank: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21, Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

"Good job. Just a few more to go."

Garzen hustles next to Penumbra, prepared to attack any Aspis agent that comes out the door.

It is incredibly unclear whether or not Garzen enjoyed the Son of Cayden's humor, as he doesn't react to it in the slightest, but the increased vigor is apparent when the unarmed dwarf psychically fashions an intimidating axe from the warehouse's floor and attacks the Aspis with it, the weapon neatly dissolving back into the ground when the kineticist lets go of it.

Kinetic Blade: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14, Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

"Tell them we're the repair crew? That sounds more like an awkward bluff than a diplomacy." Garzen exhales from under his beard, either disappointed or entertained, or perhaps both. "We could give them the truth, straight to the face. They shouldn't want to ally the Aspis Consortium. I bet my beard those snakes will betray them, take the money and leave as soon as it fits them."

Stealth: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13

Just the way he boarded the boat, Garzen slowly climbs down, wondering how Menarul and the Son of Cayden managed to grab to crowd's attention so well.

"Having trouble, Penumbra? If only there was some stone around, I could manifest a nice hammer to smash this door down. Perhaps my body will do."

Without much more warning, the Dwarf flings himself at the door with all the force he can manage - which is, apparently, not much.

Break DC 18: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

"Jumping into the sea sounds like a less-than-good idea, unless you want soggy, unreadable documents. While I don't want a run in with the local authorities, breaking in sounds like the most feasible idea."

Garzen's eyes jump around, looking at each of his allies as they join and then following the hushed conversation.

"If my phytokineticist friend was here, he could probably open a hole through that door, or something. I don't know how phytokinesis actually works. I do know, that unless this lock is made of stone or mud, I can't use my powers to open it."

He then takes a long moment to think of Penumbra's plan.

"If you do melt something, melt the lock. It should waste less acid and not cause the door to come crashing down, unlike burning the hinges."

"Well, I'm not exactly the sneaky type, but let's see how I can manage."

The dwarf walks sluggishly and steadily, but manages to make little sound as he does so.

Stealth: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14

"Wait. We're actually going to aid with his suspicious business?... I don't know if I like this."

Sounds like this is what we're planning, though I want to know where the Son of Cayden is taking this.

"I'm sure we can convince the owner to leave without wasting gold. I can also assume his earnings for a few hours would be substantially more than we can bribe him. Or not. The lucracy of Barkeeping is not my forte."

"The chatty one is the natural one to ask", the dwarf interjects. "He is the one most likely to accidentally reveal some sensitive information."

He pauses for a moment, possibly to think some more.

"Though, being talkative, he might already know to watch his tongue."

"I believe interrupting the meeting that will reveal our contact is the most urgent task, even if we do not trust her. An old dwarven saying goes, "better safe than sorry".

"I suppose I should introduce myself as well. My name is Garzen Marbleface, envoy of the Five Kings Mountains and aspiring geokinetic knight. I am delighted to make an acquaintance of all of you."

Nothing in Garzen's expression or static, tiresome voice betrays this emotion, however, as his face seems to not shift in the slightest while he speaks, or at all.

"Everybody, even the great Ambrus Valsin, can be late", Garzen says monotonously. "Real life happens, you know."

A short, white-haired and white-bearded dwarf waddles down the pier towards the Sixwing Drake. He is clad in armour and carries a small backpack, but doesn't seem to be armed. He clambers aboard the ship with a grunt and seats himself, staring into the distance expressionless.

Ah yes, I will be in Iceland and Israel during the game, so slightly funky timezones too, but I tend to be able to post roughly twice a day (morning, US night, and evening, US morning).

I've had loads of fun! You've managed to keep the game going most of the time, and don't worry about the times the game got stuck for a few days - that happens to everyone, even experienced GMs, and you handled it well despite the Great Paizo Site Disaster of '17. Not sure if exploring the rest of the cavern has any implications on the scenario's rewards; if not, I think we can just assume we completed it.

Garzen follows Talondreal's example, charging with his axe of stone. The dwarf seems to push to his limits on this attack, making it exceedingly forceful. However, his minotaur adversary is too swift, and the attack fails to connect.

Kinetic Blade + charge: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11, Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Charging with Kinetic Blade, taking 1 point of burn for Pushing Infusion.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

"Janira, we are on our way."

Garzen runs towards the stream, only barely managing to jump to its other side, landing with a puff of dirt.

Run action and jumping over the stream.

"Remember, we were tasked with mapping these tunnels. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to fail my confirmation."

Voting for the other passage from the pool chamber.

Garzen nods coldly as he shapes the floor into an axe of stone.

"Prepare to meet the Lady of Graves, Kobold."

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5, Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Garzen waddles through the remainder of the stream, climbing back unto solid land and running towards the remaining kobold with a dangerously emotionless face.

Double move.

Hopefully the Paizo site stops misbehaving so this game can pick up steam...

"Well then, I shall charge", says the dwarf with a cold nod. Garzen rushes forwards at the creatures, starting to brave through the stream and hoping his friends do the same.

Don't worry, GM; these kind of delays happen to everyone.

"I'm planning on charging at the monsters, if that's what you mean."

Garzen makes a gesture with his hand, and the earth rises and molds up into a jagged axe of stone.

"Anyone, please tell me if you are opposed to this sentiment."

"Excuse me..."

At this point Garzen realizes he has never asked for the gillman's name. The dwarf strokes his beard as he inquires the gillman regarding his identity.

"Excuse me, <name>, but I must enter the pool to perform a ritual for the dead god. I sincerely believe this does not harm the sanctity of these waters."

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

Assuming the gillman abides, Garzen will waddle towards the miniature city, then take a gold piece from his wallet and look for anything resembling a bank or scales to place the coin in.

Seeing that the cloak doesn't kill Lancyn, Garzen nods and waddles on towards the kneeling gillman.

"Indeed, greetings, honourable gillman. It is a great pleasure to meet you. What, if I may ask, are you doing in this ancient, sacred place?"

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

After he finishes making his way out of the pit, Garzen stares at the cloak blankly.

"Nobody wants to investigate this thing, then?"

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

The dwarf proceeds down the tunnel, spending some time looking at the various carvings and paintings.

"How pretty. Not nearly as inspiring as dwarven murals, but they tried their best," he says with a faint hint of cynicism.

"That is alright, Kyomi. I can wait."

The dwarf then takes a look at the cloak, ever so slightly raising his eyebrows.

"There is a cloak here. I'm not an expert on this, but some of you scholars might want to check it for supernatural abilities."

Garzen doesn't take any of the bag's contents, letting his party members decide what they want. He waddles forward along the cave's walls, running his hand upon the stone before stopping next to the pit.

Knowledge (Dungeoneering): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

"Correct, Omniel. This is indeed a pit. 20ft deep, to my estimation, and probably artificial. The walls are slippery, but I will try climbing down."

The dwarf carefully slides down the side of the pit, landing at the bottom and going to inspect the bundle of cloth.

Climb (Take 10): 10 + 5 = 15

Garzen doesn't bother making excuses, immediately entering the cave.

"Stay safe, Janira. You've more experience than I do."

Garzen doesn't flinch when the hippogriff bites him, quickly retracting his hand and forming another stone axe.

"It takes more than that to defeat me, foul thing."

Kinetic Blade: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Hm... did my AC 21 attack miss, or did you just not list any damage dealt to the Red Hippogriff yet?

Garzen looks at Kyomi in what one could assume is surprise, then swiftly analyzes the positions of both Hippogriffs.

"Ah, the excitement of battle", he says monotonously and runs forwards towards the Hippogriff past Malcharion. As he moves, the earth twists and rises into Garzen's hand, forming a stone axe which the dwarf uses to attack.

Kinetic Blade + Bard Song: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21, Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Garzen listens closely to Janira's advice, then to the excited Pathfinders declaring their purchases.

"I'll have a vial of alchemist's fire too, please", he says mechanically, "thought I doubt we'll have use for so much."

"Thank you, Master of Scrolls, for allowing me to take this Confirmation."

The dwarf wipes his mouth, tiny specks of liquid sticking to his sandy beard.

"While I'm sure the gillmen will not be hostile towards us, a dwarf knows how dangerous mountains and caverns can be. Do you expect us to run into opposition, or do you think the greatest challenge will be navigating the cave system?"

While it is obvious the last part of the sentence is intended to be humorous, nothing in Garzen's still voice or stony expression betray this.

Dotting means you are posting a message in this thread, and now when you look at the messageboards you will see a dot next to it. You don't have to say you're dotting, and an in-character introduction is probably better than a dot!

"Greetings, Lancyn Pendragon. I am Garzen Marbleface of the Five Kings Mountains. You will find that many Pathfinders share your honourable goal, but for now I suggest you relax a bit until they tell us why we're here."
