I received my Chronicle, thanks for running Kashka! I had a great time everyone.

Garrett lets out several cheers and tries to take Prisim's hand for a celebratory dance! "This adventure shall be one for the ages! The stories I shall write and tell about this will cover my traveling expenses for years to come!"

Garrett continues his inspiring performance and he rushes to keep up with the others as he moves out of the wooded area.

Maintain Inspire Courage. Double Move.

Garrett quickly casts his last Heroism up Sieran and sends him into battle. "Go forth mighty paladin and destroy these monstrosities!"

Cast Heroism and move forward.

Garrett draws his short bow as he moves forward, continuing his inspiring speech. Once in position he lets an arrow fly towards the nearby undead!

Attack vs Blue: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 8 + 1 = 20
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

To my respective GMs and/or players, I am posting this in all my games that I'm running or involved in. I was involved in a force on force incident today during work. I cannot go into details for obvious reasons, but suffice to say no one was seriously injured. I'll be very busy with paperwork for the foreseeable afternoon/evening. If I have time later this evening, I will attempt to get caught up with my games. Otherwise, look for me tomorrow!

Seeing his ranged advantage suddenly disappear, Garrett drops his bow and rushes forward to the front-line, drawing his magical shortsword as he does!

Maintain Inspire Courage and Double Move, drawing weapon while I move.

Garrett draws his shortbow and begins an inspiring story for his companions!

If we were able to buff, then Garrett would pass around some Heroism to Urktar and anyone else that wants one.

Garrett scrambles to his feet and follows behind the elf as quickly as his short legs will carry him. "My oh my, this has been a most exciting adventure! The stories I will be able to tell once our journey is complete!" Under his breath he mutters. "Assuming I don't die in the process..."

I'll be very busy tomorrow, possibly, so I'm going to post Garrett's actions for Round 2.

Garrett immediately begins another rousing speech about a recent battle in the town of Trunau, called the Battle of Bloodmarch Hill. "Despite the horrible attrocities around them and the overwhelming odds, the heroes pushed forward time and time again into the orcish ranks, winning the day in each battle."

I had forgotten that wands could also be drawn as part of a Move Action, thank you for reminding me. I'm on my way to you, Urktar! One square too short...

Garrett looks at one of the several orcs surround Urktar and hopes to delay any further injury to his companion. "Hey ugly, yes, you! What do you call a one-legged goblin? A hobgoblin!" He winces at the awful joke, but it was the best he could come up with under the stress...

Hideous Laughter on Blue, he needs to make a Will save DC 14.

I've got my wand of CLW, but I'm not close enough to make it to Urktar before next round...

Seeing the large warrior take a massive wound, Garrett draws his healing wand and starts rushing towards him! "Hold on, Urktar!

Maintain Inspire Courage. Draw wand. Move towards Urktar!

Garrett rushes forward and begins an inspiring speech about a group of Pathfinders that had held out an entire week against a marauding group of orcs before finally turning the tide and winning the day!

Garrett looks over the battle. "Gents, how about a helpful dosing of heroism? You look like the heroic type and I'm not so sure that illusions will be much help in this fight!"

Garrett can pass out two castings of Heroism to whomever would like them.

Sorry on my delay folks. My coworkers and I went to White Sox game Friday night. That night my wife decided that I should take the boy camping on Saturday. So I didn't really have any time over the weekend.

Garrett ponders a moment. "Somewhat. Did someone make a deal with this man without your knowledge or consent?"

Garrett steps up and clears his throat. "Honorable Guardians, before we conclude our negotiations, would you regal us with the story first? I am curious what the exact circumstances were regarding this theft. Perhaps Nigel would do for some of your local justice?"

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

Derp... I completely brain farted and forgot that Devonalia was a rogue. Garrett will maintain his previous position to allow the rogue the flank w/ Urktar. So, his attacks will both be 2 less than above.

Garrett slips into a flank position with Urktar and stabs at the thing again!

Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 8 + 2 + 1 = 31
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 8 + 2 + 1 = 16

Seeing Sam back upon his feet, Garrett rushes up and seeks to finish off the last of the automatons threatening the group! "Come now, Pathfinders, let us finish this brute!"

Damage: 1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 = 4

Garrett begins to inspire his companions and moves up to Urktar, prepared to boost his combat prowess even further once he has the opportunity.

Inspire Courage! +1 bonus to Fear saves and Weapon Attack & Damage rolls. Going to hit Urktar with Heroism next round.

"This reminds me of the not-so-valiant knight who sent his hunting dogs upon a dire bear so that he could attempt his escape. Needless to say, the dire bear had quite the meal that day!" He moves in behind his companions and sticks his short sword into the side of one of the dogs!

Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 1 = 27
Damage: 1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 1 = 3

Actions: Free - Maintain Inspire Courage. Move - Move into position on map. Standard - Attack Red.

Garrett pulls out his short sword and empowers his companions once more. "Go forth, my friends, and handle this filthy mongrels!"

Inspire Courage! Also, who would like some Heroism???

Garrett moves towards the fight and begins a rousing speech to embolden his allies for battle. "I can recall a time when a young mage was given a simple chore to mop a floor; however, his work ethic left something to be desired and he abused a cantrip that he thought would expire. The mops he animated with his words, rebelled, and had to be put down by the Swords. Go forth, my friends, and show this banners what it means to be a Pathfinder!"

Inspire Courage: +1 bonus to save vs. Fear and Attack/Damage rolls.

Sorry on my delay! I thought I posted here that I was going to be gone all weekend through yesterday, but I apparently didn't. I'll select Acrobatics for Garrett's +1 bonus!

Garrett grins at Prisim's flirtatious response. "Perhaps after our meal we could enjoy a leisurely stroll just the two of us." However, the rather rude half-elf interjects her derisive comment. "I'll have you know, young lady that I have been on several missions for the Society and always returned victorious and with all my companions alive and well." He winks.

"As for the Crusade, I have not participated in much of the World Wound investigation; however, i had the joy of assisting with a profound mission that involved the Sapphire Sage and locating others like him..."

"I find Janira's quick tongue and skill in storytelling to be my favorite." Garrett pipes in, casting an odd looking at the strange half-orc that talks to...someone or something... called Bert, before looking at the other half-orc. "A singer, eh? Perhaps we could try a duet sometime, goodsir. I am a natural at the lute after all. I've find I do not have much skill when it comes to singing. I allow my fingers to do the work while my tongue wages war with my quick wit and words. Am I right, Prisim." He gives her a quick wink.

"As for Farabellus' classroom, I can concur with his teachings that strength is not the end all, be all of fighting. Why I once saw this rail-thin elven beauty dancing around a fight with a spear and you would not believe the things she could do with it! You'd think that weapon was an extension of her body."

Urktar... you're absolutely correct. I have no clue how I screwed that up. Garrett's starting XP will actually be 11.

Garrett continues to strum on his lute with a bemused smile upon his face as he watches the strange half-orc and his sword. 'This is going to make for such a grandiose story...'

Garrett blinks. "Huh. Well, if that is the case, then clearing we need some music!" He gets out his lute and prepares to play. "Any requests?"

Garrett returns the sudden hug with a smile. "Not sure how I missed that wondrous hair of yours, but I am sorry that I did." He shoots the pretty gnome a wink. "I wonder what our mission will be this time around?"

A handsome halfling with tussled, curly hair wearing a cloak wrapped around a shirt of glittering mail walks into the room. "Greetings fellow agents." He turns suddenly at hearing a familiar voice. "Prisim! It is good to see you again!" We recently completed the City of Strangers arc together! He wanders over and smiles with a flourish. "Garrett Goodleaf at your disposal-Well, not disposal-but I am here to assist in any way I can!"

All I can do is concur with what has already been said by those before me. Thanks again for running this and I'll gladly play in any of your games in the future.

Garrett returns with the others to the bound Agent. "Heal him just to consciousness. It is time for him to talk, and then we drag him back to the Lodge. He can face the judgement of the Society."

Garrett quickly begins to inspire his companions. "Bring down the beast, friends, this insect is no match for you!" He then draws out his bow.

Inspire Courage and draw shortbow.

Garrett listens intently to all the information the group is gathering with a frown. "This problem is much wide-spread than we ever thought. I agree that we should wrap up here quickly and then proceed to send a report out. As for insects, I've never been partial to them. Too many legs."

Casting Heroism on Chip for a 40 minute duration. That is my last 2nd level spell for the day.

You are correct, GM. For some reason I had it my head that the target location was chosen when casting begins. So, given the results of the last round Garrett will direct the area of effect to include all the goblins. They will need to succeed a Will DC 14.

Immediately following the completion of his spell, Garrett quickly slips around Prism to join the fray in trying to bring down the remaining Shadow Lodge agent.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 1 = 19
Damage: 1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 1 = 3

Actions: Free - Complete casting of Sleep. Free - Maintain Inspire Courage. Move - Acrobatics to avoid AoO when moving through Prism's square. Standard - Attack Shadow Lodge agent!

Thanks for all the insight, folks! Originally I was just looking at focusing on Illusions, but then I also noticed recently that bards have some pretty decent enchantment spells available to them and Fey bloodline gives that nice +2 boost to Compulsion DCs. (While I would love to go the kitsune route they aren't exactly Core legal, Prism lol.)

The points you all make are very good points. I think I might just look at continuing on beefing up my Illusion spells with Greater Spell Focus. I feel like I really should have bumped Garrett's Cha up to 18 during character creation for the play style I had in mind for him. I always see him as the atypical support bard. Boost your comrades with Performance, be awesome at skills, and then toss around some spells as well.

I've been thinking about taking a level dip into sorcerer for a boost to my spell DCs. I was thinking the Fey bloodline would be a great option and then take Spell Focus: Enchantment at 5th level. What do you fine folks think? Good irea? Or will I be shooting myself in the foot?

Garrett rushes to Blend's aid, drawing his short sword in the process. He stabs at Kormiggon while disregarding his boasts. "You are a foolish man if you think you can dissuade us from our goal!"

Garrett rushes up behind the party and begins to inspire his companions!

Garrett sighs that the troll was able to overcome his illusion and immediately drops the spell. He quickly begins to inspire his companions against the troll!

Inspire Courage to all! +1 Attack/Damage and Will vs. Fear.

Thanks for the ruling, GM. I would have been okay either way and I'll do some research into this in an attempt to get a better understanding on the Illusion spell rules. I thought I had a pretty good grasp on the rules, but I may not understand them as well as I thought. Also, that was my thought as well, GM, that since Garrett has does such things before that the party would have an idea it was an illusion.
