Unless something very bizarre happens... Galvanix is going to follow Kronis' lead and pummel the would-be assassin into the dirt!

"Hey, WATCH OUT! That person is casting a SPELL!"

Noticing Dalton has slipped his bounds Galvanix alerts his companions and prepares for battle.

"He's trying to get away!"

Galvanix scratches his head as his companions start laying out the evidence and in an incredulous tone...

"Wait... you are right... this guy [Durkon] HAS been at the scene of all the MURDERS... and has been hanging around each of the times... trying to pin it on PATHFINDERS! And all the time he has had this INQUISITOR who was more than willing to believe HIM! So the People believe the INQUISITOR and she believes this professional liar!"

"Sheriff, it really comes down to this for me... the DAMN BUTTON. You found it. It put's this guy at the scene where the guy died- AFTER Lumpy's club was stolen and put there to make it look like we did it!"

Turning to the crowd... "Don't you all get it!?! This GUY has been playing all of you for fools!"

Despite his cool demeanor... Galvanix is quickly realizing that he may need to make a break for it and while he doesn't want to hurt of these people, he isn't going to be tried for a crime he didn't commit.

I didn't survive the pits of Cheliax to go down like this...

Galvanix will turn to Durkon and use his best GAME FACE- "You know you DID it... ADMIT IT... You think these GUYS can protect you? Guess Again BUDDY!

Intimidate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 - to illicit a confession (trying to scare/shake him).

Galvanix pulls himself up to his full height and flexes his muscles...

"Are you folks really thinkin' or are you just so scared of everything that you want some pay-back for all the troubles you have had in the past... we all have pasts."

Turning to the Inquisitor, "And you... what kind of Judge are you saying that people don't need trials and such? Pretty CHAOTIC if you ask me... You want to accuse US? What about YOU?"

Turning to the crowd... "Devils in the forest... all kinds of other things that go 'bump in the night'... we have looked into them and nothing to see there... it's all a HOAX. But what WE do KNOW and what my buddy KRONY can show- because he is and INVESTIGATOR is that someone is trying to drive your village here crazy and start FRAMING people for crimes they didn't commit.

Turning to the Sheriff, "And Sheriff you have been trying to do your job and that's all good... but having this DEMENTED INQUISITOR running around like a mad-woman isn't helping things... I THINK YOU ALL SHOULD LISTEN TO KRONY... But if it comes down to it, I want my TRAIL to be by COMBAT... Just me versus HER!"

"Don't you PEOPLE have a Paladin or Wizard or someone who can say some magic words and show that we are telling the TRUTH and that this PILE OF FILTH is Lying or some kind of EVIL assassin?" Galvanix points at Durkon (who I assume is still tied up).

To the crowd... "At least let her prove her god's favor...and have a good SHOW!"

Not to be undone by the Stranger's window-escape- Galvanix uses his considerable acrobatic talents to pursue the fleeing assailant out of the window. (If there is time enough to do so).

Galvanix nods as Kronis speaks.

"I got your back KRONY... any news on that job when this is done?"

As Kronis and Galvanix start off towards the forest, Galvanix strikes up a conversation with the would-be investigator from Lepidstadt.

"Um, so you want to become an Inspector-Agent huh? Sounds like a good job with good pay. Maybe you can get me a job doing some of the 'arresting' and such. There hasn't been much Gladiator work for me outside of Cheliax... and I am a wanted man in far too many places since I busted out of there. So, what do you think? Your big brain and my big muscles...sounds pretty good huh?"

After the two get nearer the woods, Galvanix puts on his game face, dons his helmet, readies his shield and sword (drawn).

"Hey KRONY... maybe we will see some action and you can see how I can put the hurt on people... I mean monsters and such... This might be fun."

Despite his demeanor, Galvanix remains a professional warrior- ever vigilant against potential foes.

Galvanix wants to get out of town... so he will follow Kronis on his quest to find out whatever they can about the dangers and mysteries that lurk in the forest.

"Hey you girl. You are really pretty. Never heard that before? Well that's because people in this town don't appreciate an honest working girl like yourself. What are the chances you can point me and my buddy here in the direction of those 'devil circles' in the woods... how's 10 pieces of gold sound for your troubles?"

Galvanix is aware that people are staring at him and the group... while he's used to it, he knows that things could be going better.

"Seems the SHEEP-LE are all nervous."

Galvanix breaks into a run towards the screams...

"Come on guys... we might get some action!"

Galvanix knows how to find people... he will search for the person with the unusual and rare (missing) button.

Galvanix picks up the button from the table and inspects it.

"This button? I will find whoever it belongs to. What do you want me to do when I find them... bash'em or just find out who they are?"

(Next Day- searching for the shirt with missing button).

Galvanix shrugs at Kronis' rebuff... knowing that in the end he made need to take the law into his own hands if freeing these Pathfinders are what 'needs' to be done.

"Okay, Okay, I get it, but these people are sheep... scared of their own shadows."

Lydia is an undead? Well... I need to stay away from her... I have heard about vampires.

Turning to the person that Galvanix has begun to recognize at the leader, he addressed the rest of his comrades, "Hey, Kronis is pretty smart and knows all about this investigating stuff... I am a trained pugilist... I'll admit it. So, Kron... what do you want us to do? From this point forward, you're in charge."

To the crowd... as Galvanix struts around in a circle.

"One day only folks... you get a free show from 'THE TALDAN'... straight from the gladiatorial pits of Ostenso!"

"Come on Kronis... let me put'er in 'er place. I like the goddess Iomedae and Cayden the beer-drinker too, but this HOLY ROLLER needs to be taught a lesson or two...she's probably the person who planted the evidence on those poor-ol' Pathfinders in town."

Without any 'matches' Galvanix decides to test his abilities as a swimmer... not exactly what he has spent his life training for, but a good form of exercise nonetheless.

Although he didn't embarrass himself, Galvanix realizes that his future as a water-borne Olympian is certainly not going to happen.

Galvanix looks for anything in the area that might be combat related or otherwise violent.

Galvanix was getting ready to throttle the bastard until the lizard-man-thing got all slick-tongued.

The boredom of 'wizard-work' is starting to wear thin upon Galvanix... who generally likes action... whether it be wine, women, song or swordplay.

Galvanix hopes that the rest of the group is as motivated by the lure of wealth as he is.

Seeing that the group is much less mercenary in their attitudes as he is, Galvanix relents.

"Hey, I know you all want to find clues and solve some big crime or something... but maybe we can just bribe the Sheriff to 'find some new evidence' and let them go."

"A stranger eh?"

Galvanix is very interesting in finding out who this nosey SOB is... and if necessary give him an attitude adjustment if for no other reason than he has some issues with his last haircut.

Depending on what is takes to locate this tall stranger with a missing patch of hair, Galvanix will try either Perception or Knowledge (local), each at a +6 bonus.

Galvanix's time as a gladiator has bred a sense of 'force applied with the right grease will eventually fix anything' as a guiding principle for his style of inquiry.

Walking around town, probably just out of sight of his more 'upstanding' companions, Galvanix will use a myrid of skills to identify, question and/or influence the most fearful of the town's residents- utilizing intimidation and implied threats of violence if necessary.

Out of character- Galvanix has a +6 bonus to each of the following skills: Knowledge (local), Intimidate, Perception and Sense Motive. Please utilize most useful skill given the scenario's mechanics.

Skill roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Galvanix is more than happy to hit a few of the seedier spots in town in order to help find out whatever information he can... especially if he can get an ale to quench his thirst... Doing Pathfinder-work is hard!

Galvanix scratches his head and takes a deep breath, "If these Pathfinders are friends to the Society, why not just break them out and pin it one someone else... like the Aspis Constortium... or some dregs from Cheliax? Doesn't seem like the Society should be putting up with whatever a bunch of religious zealots wants anyway... we`ll I'm just saying what everyone else is thinking."

Seeing the Venture-Captain's disapproval for his less-than-soft tactics, Galvanix quickly changes his tune...

"Hey...it's whatever you want boss...you guys keep paying the bill and I will play it however you want me to."
