Male Aasimar (Garuda-blooded) Inquisitor 1 HP 9/9 | AC 15 T 13 FF 12 | Fort +3 Ref +3 Will +5 | Perc +7 | Init +3

Bah, I apologize guys but I either didn't realize or missed that some of this game would be on Roll20. It looks like a fantastic program and not all that difficult to learn but I'm just not up to doing it right now as a flooded appliance problem has husband and I starting a massive reno due to the water damage.

Thanks for selecting my character and best of luck on your adventure. I'm sorry I can't stick around for more.

With a nod to Ran, Gabr agrees. "The best course is straight to our destination."

Gabr rises early to perform his morning ablutions and to pay his respects to The Master of the First Vault. He prepares a morning meal and greets the others as they each rise in turn from their slumber.

"Fortune smiled upon us and no beasts troubled us through the night. Perhaps we will catch sight of them today or maybe they have found tastier prey instead."

Up ahead of the group, Gabr is not so far off that Jean's sweet voice and merry tunes do not reach his ears. The sound lends an extra spring to his step and his chest swells at the joy of it all: the bright sun in the cloudless sky, the lush beauty of the vegetation so different from what he is used to, the companionship, the adventure. It's been easy going so far, little more than a lark in the woods, but the sight of the peculiar tracks is a stark reminder that he's headed toward an ominous place rife with danger.

He pauses and, scanning the forest about them all, allows the others to gather around. "These look a little like wolf tracks but they are suspicious. Do any of you recognize what creature makes this print?"

As the group sets off, Gabr finds himself ranging slightly ahead of the others. He has no trouble keeping an eye on the trail ahead, watching for environmental hazards, vegetation that might supplement the group's food stores and signs of game to hunt or creatures that might threaten them. Along the way, he also collects lengths of wood suitable for arrow shafts and spends the evenings fashioning arrows to add to his collection.

I have a 40' spd, good stealth, survival and perception so I'll take point unless anyone objects. I should be able to keep up with the dwarf while moving half speed for survival checks

Sorry guys, haven't been able to log onto the site all weekend. Will get something up after work tonight

Gabr follows Tark to the door, anticipation lightening his steps. He'd travelled outside of Absalom before but never so far and on such a great adventure. It was a shame about the lack of a guide but Odo's words on the matter were reasonable.

With a gesture, he invites the rest of the group to join them, an amiable grin brightening his plain face. "Coming?"

"I'm afraid purchasing a horse is beyond my means at this time, fellows," The Inquisitor tells the group regretfully. "On the up side, travelling on foot will allow me to stockpile raw materials for fletching."

Gabr finishes eating as the others talk. Polishing any remaining bits of food from the silver with his napkin, he folds everything into a tidy bundle and stows it in his tunic for use with the next meal. Then he gains his feet and addresses the innkeep.

"Thank you for your hospitality and the valuable information, Odo," he says, pressing payment for the food and drink into the man's hand, "In the Great City, it is common to hire an urchin from the Wayfinder's Guild. For a few coins, they help you find your destination and keep you from those places and folk who would prey upon newcomers, transients or fools. Is there anyone in Zelkors Ferry that offers such a service? Someone willing to play guide to this adventure for a modest recompense?"

Gabr's manner is almost dainty as he eats. He lays a napkin in his lap and produces a set of cutlery from a pocket within his high collared tunic. While Odo spins his tale, he devours his meal in small, neat bites that he chews carefully, touching the corners of his mouth with the napkin frequently. He nods and raises his glass in agreement when Tark compliments the chef but attends the innkeep otherwise.

"Do not forget duty," Gabr adds solemnly, circling his thumb across the fingers of his upturned right hand as if testing the quality of a coin while his left wanders to briefly touch the large, ornate key slung around his neck on a thick silver chain.

Gabr submits to Tark's elbow in his side but seems reluctant to join in the raucous banter going on around the table. He is a man of few words, preferring to watch and listen most of the time. His father lives life believing that it is better to keep his mouth shut and appear stupid than it is to open it and remove all doubt, a belief that was diligently passed onto his sons. The Mos'ata estate has always been a place of solemnity and measured conversation as far as Gabr can recall so he has grown to be generally quiet man.

"Taxes are never a matter for jest and one of us is a tax collector." he admonishes Jean, fixing the paladin with a stern gaze...but only for a few seconds before he winks and flashes a good natured smile. He is generally quiet man, not a humourless wretch.

Gabr joins the others in the common area of the inn. He is a small, non-descript man who might have occupied a place at the table for some time before anyone took note of his presence.

"Good morning," he greets his mates quietly, favouring each of them with a nod and a smile as well.

I've got to make my stats 20pt buy and do a few last minute adjustments to gear and such but I'm stuck at work for a few more hours. I will finish up and join the RP this evening. FYI, I'm in western Canada and generally unable to be on the computer at work so the vast majority of my posting will occur between 7-12pm mountain daylight time.

I'm afraid I was accepted into both of the games that I applied to with this character. I also don't think I can fill the tank role as I had intended to focus mainly on ranged combat rather than melee, therefore I am withdrawing from your game at this time. Thank you for selecting my character and I apologize for any inconvenience I've caused.

Dot

I created this character to apply for an Emerald Spire game but I think it would suit this AP as well considering they are both basically giant dungeon crawls. He is 15pt but ATM but that and any other adjustments needed can be done easily if I am selected.

Finalized for submission but open to criticism of course.

Still putting the final touches on the fluff but here is most of born_of_fire's Dane.
