Blackmoon maps
Here are chronicles. If I screwed something up, let me know. Otherwise I'll shut this puppy down in a few days. Thanks again for playing everyone.
Blackmoon maps
An accord is met! Things go back to normal at the dig site, Taylehm is happy to leave the Wings alone as long as her people can work without fear. Once you all return Venture Captain Arvin is eager to learn more about sarcesian history and hopes to talk with Fayetta more himself. Fun Fact if anyone had chosen Option B:
The bone sages would have went on a hunt and killed all of the sarcesians. So not really much fun to this fact. And with that the scenario is finished. I will have chronicles out tonight unless something crazy happens. Watch your email for an extra boon Baro. I'm not sure when but it will be sent to you. Thanks for playing everyone.
Blackmoon maps
Again, not a vote. I'm only harping on it in case one of you guys who hasn't posted decides to go with the flow since you're already "outvoted". It is an individual choice, not a group decision. What you decide does affect your chronicle so Yis, Kal'rin and Sully be sure to take whichever option you like the sound of.
Blackmoon maps
Keep in mind that it isn't a vote. If everyone else wants option A but you want option B go ahead and say so. In your continuity option B happens. I will let people who agree team up on rolls though and between Baro and T'laka option A is taken care of.
Blackmoon maps
After making sure Mengian won't shoot anyone in the back the party makes their way back to Taylehm. After hearing your stories she urges you to make contact with Fayetta and suggests you wait until after talking with her before deciding what to do with Mengian. Once on the line Fayetta says, "Oh good, you captured Mengian. Send him to me and maybe we can reach an accord." This part is a little weird. You each get to make your own decisions as to what you want to do about the Wings of Damiar, you don't have to agree. Everyone needs to make a post with their own decisions for the following: 1. Will you send Mengian back to the Wings for his punishment? Which Fayetta really, really wants you to do. If you wish to turn him in to the Starfinders or Eoxians that makes the follwing choice for you. 2. You can: A)Come to a mutual accord, allowing the Wings to continue their vigil over the Eoxians but leaving the Starfinders alone. B)You can tell the Eoxians about the Wings. Or, C)you can try to convince them to leave. If you would like to go for option A or C make a Diplomacy check. If you want to turn Mengian in to someone other than Fayetta you automatically take option B. If you really want, you can take option B and try to convince Fayetta that you aren't going to turn them in. If so, make a Bluff check but note that this isn't a very nice thing to do. And basically after that, we are finished. If you have questions about all that up there, let me know. Otherwise once everyine has made their choices you will have a debriefing and I'll send it Chronicles sometime shortly after.
Blackmoon maps
Botting Yis. I'm going to have you use melee because you'll eat an aoo if you try anything else. The sarcesian is almost dead anyway. Yis pulls a knife and stabs at the final enemy. Trick: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
After taking so many blows the last Wing standing decides he's had enough and chases after his friend. Combat over. Mengian is still alive thanks to Sully' non-lethal damage. What will you do with him?
Blackmoon maps
It seems about the right time for Kal'rin to Stay in The Fight with resolve and bust the last one's head! On that note, sorry about how parts of this scenario have gone. Seems like its probably been pretty bland for some of you. Maybe this isn't a great one for pbp.
Blackmoon maps
Red is the one that took the aoo before he withdrew on his turn. But yes they are large and have reach. I forgot to clear off green, my bad
Blackmoon maps
T'laka and Sully both miss their shots, whike Kal'rin starts to show signs of life. Baroleg blasts the sarcesian going after Tofana but when he does so the one in his face takes the opportunity to smack him in the face... AOO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
But misses! Baroleg's target falls to the ground however. Yis uses the opening to blow a hole in the Wing of Damiar in Baroleg's face. The sarcesian decides that he's had enough and withdraws. The final Wing calls for his friend to come back and then rushes to swing his dosko at Yis. attack vs EAC: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Would you roll a d3 to see which boon you get Baro? Also, I will need your email so that they can sens it to ya. You can pm it to me if you prefer.

I should've tagged that 'More Round 3+Round 4'. Baro you are up again. As are you Yis.
Blackmoon maps
Going to bot Baro Baroleg points out the sarcesian that seems the most hurt and fires his pistol at them. Get 'em on green. Attack/EAC: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Said Wing moves towards Tofana and Sully to get out of the line of fire and to give them some of the hurt. He swings at Tofana. Attack vs EAC: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
The central Wing continues to bash Kal'rin. This time Kal'rin does fall unconcious to the onslaught. The southern enemy goes after Baroleg. Attack vs EAC: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Attack vs EAC: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

If you guys haven't guessed this is the final fight. So we might as well roll to see if anyone wins a boon. Roll a straight d20 please, like so: Want a boon: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Blackmoon maps
T'laka and Yis put some hurt on the lackeys while Sully aims at Mengian. The leader falss unconcious from the shot! Sully's 2nd shot also strikes true. Still Round 3 wrote:

Botting Yis. Yis stands up and moves back away from the incoming enemies. The Wings all close in on Kal'rin pulling out their doskos. Sorry Kal, your party has left you out in the open. Attack vs EAC+Get em: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Attack vs EAC+Get em: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Attack vs EAC+Get em: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Mengian is wearing light armor and has a pistol and starknife. His lackeys are wearing heavy armor and have pistols and doskos. The three henchmen move forward. The one to the south pulls a grenade as he moves and throws it towards Yis and Baroleg. He's throwing it a little north of Yis to avoid Baro' cover, taking a range penalty though. Grenade Throw: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
The two to the north draw laser pistols and shoot at Tofana. Attack vs EAC: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Attack vs EAC: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
T'laka and Sully each blast Mengian and he staggers from the heavy damage. More Round 1 wrote:

Hmmm, I'm gonna say that saying something that's technically true but not really is still gonna need a Bluff check. Just to be sure I'm clear, there's not a large force at the ready. He's actually feeling you guys out. As you'll see now since he'll beat that if he rolls 1 on Sense Motive. Mengian gives Tofana a suspicious look, "So you are all that they've sent then." He calls out over his shoulder, "Kill them." His remaining followers step out of their hiding places. Initiative:
Init Kal'rin: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Init Tofana: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 Init Sully: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 Init Baroleg: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15 Init T'laka: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 Init Yis: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 Init Wings of Damiar: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15 Init Mengian: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 Round 1 wrote:

"Ambush? Ha! You're one to talk. I know there's a large force of Starfinder about to rush into all the nearby caves to flush the Wings of Damiar out for a slaughter."
Blackmoon maps
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that she is telling the truth as far as you folks can tell. "I don't know anything else about the attack, just that they will be enacting it very soon. Yes, I would appreciate it if you brought them to me. I will see them suitably chastised. "I cannot provide transport, no." You guys have learned all of the major bits so I'll move us ahead. If you want to add any final questions go ahead, I'll add the answers as we go. Our Starfinders bid Fayetta farewell and head back towards the excavation site. Anyone who tries calling Taylehm to warn her of the attack will only receive static in response. The reason becomes clear as thr group nears the camp, another storm is brewing. It doesn't seem to be hitting soon but the air is too charged with radiation for comm units to function properly. Map in slide 3. Feel free to adjust your formation and approach Mengian. As you arrive at the excavation area you can clearly see Mengian standing atop the large rock waiting for you. "Welcome! Here to cause me more trouble are you?" Mengian speaks in a booming, almost friendly, voice.
Blackmoon maps
You can participate Kal'rin. According to the scenario it takes an hour to check the place out so this is 50 minutes after your rest is over. "I speak for the Wings of Damiar, and I say that we bear no ill will to the Starfinder Society or your excavations
To Tofana she adds, "This entire world is like this. As long as we are close enough to the Bone Sages to keep an eye on them we're close enough." That sounds good Tofana.
Blackmoon maps
Quote: "How many allies did this Mengian have? Where have they gone? And where are you?" "I don't know an exact number, but not many. Mengian has called on those Wings of Damiar faithful to his cause to attack the site of your latest dig. That is the place where he executed those first members of your organization, and where you were exploring earlier today. I know only a small number of our group intend to join him, but they could still cause much harm unless you stop them,” she doesn't acknowledge the question of where she is. Quote: "Why attack at all? What are you doing in this foul place?" Our people have suffered uncounted atrocities at the hands of the Eoxians, and the ruin of their world is but a minor satisfaction for the horror they inflicted on us. We know they will eventually break this system’s Pact, and we shall warn others when that dread day comes. "Mengian sees the Starfinders as willing accomplices to the bone sages’ depredations. I know that you are merely here to carry out your organization's typical activities."
Blackmoon maps
You can take a rest, yes. Looking through the complex actually takes a while so if you want to spend 10 minutes resting instead of searching that's cool.
Blackmoon maps
"Because I am trying to help you. I swear on the sacred remains of the Diaspora that I had nothing to do with attacking your camp. My former second-in-command, Mengian, saw your excavation as a threat and ordered an attack on the new dig site behind my back. Once I confronted him about it, he took what few radicals he could from our group and left. The snipers in the canyon were among those he converted to his irrational cause.”
Blackmoon maps
Still need a couple Reflex saves but some things are gonna happen now so you guys can add them as we go. And Tofana made the 2nd perception check so you guys are good there. While taking stock of the place Tofana finds some left-behing sarcesian artwork. Most of these are odd, laser-cut rock carved to resemble sites of interest in the Diaspora and idyllic mock-ups of the destroyed world Damiar. And have a value of 800 credits. As soon as Tofana walks over to the projector it switches on. With a burst of quick clicks and green light, a projection coalesces into the form of a large but lithe humanoid with an elongated neck, pointed ears, and dark eyes. The figure’s head moves around as though appraising before speaking in strangely accented Common. “Greetings. I am Fayetta. I am sure you have many questions, and I would be glad to answer them.”
Blackmoon maps
As the group makes their climb Kal'rin loses his footing for a bit and falls backwards into a large rock. Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Shortly after that Baroleg slips and falls onto his face. Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2 When Baroleg falls he knocks loose a few rocks that tumble back towards the people behind. Everyone is able to dodge except T'laka who takes a few small boulders to the chest. Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3 As the party continues the pair leading the way hear a 'click'. Then, Baroleg, Kal'rin, Sully and Tofana are electrocuted by a mine that slipped the party's notice. Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 5) = 11 DC 13 Reflex save for half damage. Not long after you pass the mine a large cave mouth comes into view. Once you enter it becomes clear that there is a fairly large complex built underneath The Roost. After walking around for a bit you all notice that the place has clearly been abandoned recently as several larger items such as a generator and mobile fortifications were expertly moved out of the cavern. Perception DC 16:
You notice the presence of several audio and video recording devices hidden within the various chambers of the cavern. Each of these six devices is powered by a small battery. Perception DC 20:
You also notice a holographic projector in the entrance cavern. Also, everyone please make a 2nd perception check besides trying to reveal those spoilers.
Blackmoon maps
I'll give Baro a little bit longer. While we wait, and if you could do this when you post Baroleg, please go to slide 1 and put yourselves in marching order. Or if anyone wants to branch out away from the group let me know.
Blackmoon maps
No problem Sully. There are no comm units to be found on the snipers. The area indicated by the holomap is about 1-1/2 mile away. While talking with Taylehm she will mention that the place is called The Roost and it is an area of much steeper terrain. The party finds this out first hand as it is quite the tricky area to navigate. The Roost is not only a steep climb but covered in loose rocks. Everyone please make an Athletics check to navigate the climb, unless you have some way to burrow or fly. Also, please tell me what you are doing as you travel to the bad guys and make perception checks.

“Fayetta’s sabotage is, at best, a stopgap. Real and decisive action is required if we’re to make the bone sages’ puppets pay for what they’ve done and make them afraid to try again. Take position at the top of Redspire canyon and kill anyone who comes through and isn’t one of our own. We’ll need to stay hidden for just a while longer, then we can finish this.” I'll just go ahead and tell you guys, since Baroleg rolled a pretty good perception near the bodies, that the security team's bodies have nothing of importance left on them.
Blackmoon maps
Yeah, we seem to be discovering that this combat is not great for pbp. So... Tofana and Sully combine to finally take down the other sniper.(close enough) After all this time no other ambushes have shown themselves so it seems to have been only the two snipers. You definitely have time for a rest if you want one. And now you can search the sniper bodies, as well as the security team in the Red Fingers. And don't forget Baroleg noticed a trap on their bodies.
Blackmoon maps
Three notable plateaus rise along the western edge of this long
I take that to mean it's like walking up very steep steps, no climb check even needed. Once you get to the first edge there it is like the ruins to the east, you can use a move action to seek cover behind rocks and things. Nothing on this side is large enough for total cover however, only partial.
Blackmoon maps
Botting Yis. Yis continues to move forward and takes refuge behind a Finger. Tofana and Sully both miss their shots on this volley. Now that Baroleg is so close the sniper begrugingly switches targets. Attack vs EAC: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

As long as you are to the right of the little ruins pictures you can get cover anytime by using a move action. Otherwise the only other cover is the big red rocks in the middle or if you get really close to the rises by the snipers. The little ruins pictures only applies to the far right of the map though. After that point you are in the open. I will note that so far the remaining sniper is pretty focused on who he is shooting. But that could change.
Blackmoon maps
Okay, finally posting. The sarcesian takes another pot shot at Tofana. Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
He finally seems to have calmed down enough to aim. Round 5/6 wrote:

The security team is very dead. They’ve been picked clean of useful gear, including environmental protection armor. The resulting exposure to the elements has puckered their skin and allowed the toxic atmosphere to swell portions of the bodies with necrotic tumors. There is also a trap placed on the bodies.
Blackmoon maps
Kal'rin continues hustling forward. As do Tofana and Yis. When Baroleg gets close to the Fingers he can see that the blob the group saw is security team. They are sprawled out on the ground. Still no signs of other enemies. T'laka charges up Sully' weapon once more but this time the Elebrian misses his mark. The enemy sniper switches targets to Tofana. She's a little closer and helped kill his partner. Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
His rage seems to have ruined his aim. Round 4/5 wrote:

Hmmm, I'm not sure what Kal'rin would want to do here or I would bot you. I'm going to move ahead and we'll see what happens, maybe you can go twice. No one sees any signs of other attackers. Sully's shot slams into its intended target burning her greatly. She staggers back and prepares to return fire just as Tofana puts one through her chest, killing her. The other sniper is furious. He does his best to blow Tofana away. Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

Unfortunately your sheet says you only add 7. Fortunately that hits anyway. Unfortunately you are supercharged just yet, T'laka had to use both actions just to get to you. Baroleg moves a little farther down the canyon but doesn't see any other enemies yet. He does however notice that the strange mass at the base of one of the Fingers looks a little like armor. Tofana returns fire, but misses. T'laka flails to the ground next to her. Kal'rin continues ahead as well while Sully aims at the sarcesian. His shot is on the mark and the sniper does not like that one bit. Both snipers focus on Sully with their next shots, trying to take out what they see as the biggest threat. Attack vs EAC: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Attack vs EAC: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Both miss however. Round 2/3 wrote:

Yes this map is a monster. Keep in mind each square is 30 feet. If you get close enough to engage in melee I'll probably switch to a close up. As long as you are to the right of the little ruins pictures you can get cover anytime by using a move action. Otherwise the only other cover is the big red rocks in the middle or if you get really close to the rises by the snipers. Besides those options, you just have to run and take your chances. Or shoot from really far away if possible. You guys ate lucky to have two snipers, when I played this we had no choice but to run over.
Blackmoon maps
They are keeping a close watch down the canyon. If you have some way to block line of sight while out in the open, sure. But that's gonna be hard.
Blackmoon maps
Oh yeah I forgot to add this(note to self, sign up for fewer games on the next Gameday) The sarcesians are probably to far away to have heard Baroleg's call for diplomacy. If they did hear it they certainly are ignoring it. Also Baroleg you have to use a move action to jump behind cover, a function of the 30 foot squares. So you can either move once and grab cover or run for the red fingers.
Blackmoon maps
We'll just bot Yis for now. Also, I missed telling you guys something. As long as you are in the area with the little ruins on the map you can use a move action to seek either total or partial cover. You can only return fire with partial cover. I also apparently rolled a d8 to hit Tofana earlier so you lucked out there. Yis moves south to find cover of his own. The sniper takes another shot at Tofana. Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Then, another sniper that no one noticed pops out to shoot at Sully! Attack vs EAC: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
