And almost 5 years later our tale comes to a close.
Thank you everyone for your dedication and patience. Thank you for your creativity, teamwork, and support.
This adventure got me through some dark times in my life and has seen me into some grand adventures in real life. Unfortunately, it meant that it did not get as much of my attention as I would have liked in this last year, but I still enjoyed this up until the end.
I learned so much in this adventure and hopefully I will put it to use in the future. Thank you to everyone for bringing your characters and the NPC's to life. There are very few battles I remember, but there are so many moments of humor and drama that still bring a smile to my face during random moments of any given day. You truly created a group of heroes that broke the mold, but still somehow meshed together.
Thank you to Glimmil for his consistent play and ability to remain in character even if not to his advantage. Thank you to Atol for his posts here (and especially in his own campaign) that always made me feel like an amateur. Thanks to Toffitt for pushing the boundaries and the limits of the game, but doing so with a willingness to not derail the game. Thanks to Finneas for making his dead parents so alive. And finally, thanks--I think--to Dyrant for shoving this book in my hands.

Kord is no where to be seen, but Finneas feels confident that he is safe.
An examination of the prisoners finds most are not worth saving. They all reek of evil to those with the ability to detect such things.
The party safely returns to Cauldron. There's been no magical restoration of the place. The gaping wound still stands. Charred buildings still lie in rubble. Fliers still flap in the breeze begging for attention for the missing loved ones pictured on them.
However, the air no longer feels as if it is charged with anxiety. The people walk without hunched shoulders and wary looks from side to side.
Skie appears shortly after the party's arrival and enfolds Glimmil in a hug that seems to last forever. She looks up at him and smiles and sighs contentedly.
Jenya and Alexander also round a corner and find the party. Alexander bears half-burnt scones and offers them meekly. "They're no heroes' feast, but they are meant for heroes."
A few brothers from the temple of Kord also make their way to the gathering assembly. They stand tall and walk with strength, but without too much pride. When asked, they report on the work they have done to restore the city, make Finneas proud, and regain their pride.
No one rushes to embrace Dyrant, but Aroon does arrive not too long after the others with a steaming pot of stew. "There's two days worth of grizzle in there."
Toffitt also stands alone in the crowd for a while until first one young woman bravely moves foward and embraces him. After her, an older woman follows, and then a middle aged man. Soon there is a flood of the unknown and unwashed of cauldron surrounding Toffitt, smiling and thanking their various gods for his return.
Toffitt's whirl of strikes results in a single cut, but it does soften up the already battered Adimarchus.
Covered in more blood than would be feasible without Atol's consistent efforts to heal him, Finneas stares down the one who would threaten his parents, his god, and even his very sanity. His first swing goes wide, but his second just barely connects. The angelic Adimarchus screams, shimmers, and dissipates into nothingness on this plane.
The room becomes eerily quiet as people look around for any other attackers, but find none. In the distance, maniacal prisoners can be heard rattling against their chains and cages.

Finneas scores a crit and so Glimmil manages a mighty blow thanks to Dyrant weakening Adimarchus' defenses. Toffitt is unable to take advantage of the situation though.
Adimarchus wipes away Atol's healing and then some, but Finneas remains standing (I think).

Even with the devil out of him, Adimarchus still glares at Finneas. He steps 5' closer and pounds away with his gauntlet and wings.

Sorry guys. In Cancun and had delusions of updating. Back Saturday.
Dyrant delays. Wow. I thought I was the slacker.
Toffitt switches back to his sword.
Freshly pummeled, Finneas puts the golem between him and the dual-natured god.
Even with the smite on both halves of Adimarchus' nature, Glimmil manages only a single blow (and that one not a crit).

With the demonic Adimarchus ignoring Finneas, Dyrant takes the opportunity to take him away from death's door again.
Toffitt shoots, but the golem sees it coming and avoids the worst of the damage. The combination of holy and adamantine does seem to be fully effective though.
Freshly healed, Finneas bravely moves up next to Adimarchus. He lacks the adamantine, but still manages to do more damage with his one blow. The other three fail to penetrate the thick demon flesh though.
A brilliant light show is put on by Glimmil, but not a single blow lands during his spectacle.
Atol provides more healing and plays with his hand.

He drops his scythe and the fire leaves his eyes as his lich soul escapes. Dyrant will not have to worry about spoiling another spell.

In case I wasn't obvious enough, no holds barred in our final encounter.
Glimmil charges the angelic form of Adimarchus and lands another fantastic hit. However, he notices that none of the damage from his first hit on the demonic form carried over to the angelic form.
Start fresh. There were lots of stairs to climb and time to prep.

Toffitt can't tell who can't see him so moves closer to Dark Myrakul and slashes away. He hits twice, but doesn't confirm the potential crits.

Dyrant drops a bit and bestows good fortune on Finneas and Glimmil.

Finneas grabs Kord who does not resist. As if hit with cold water, the god's eyes sparkle with recognition as his head swivels from side to side taking in his surroundings. "Finally made it, I see." Kord breaks the chains and shackles that bound him.
Glimmil's lance deflects off the skeleton as he is not quite able to find a solid spot to hit. Just a low roll.

"Do you have a key that you approach the cage? If not, I will happily watch you waste your energy bashing away at it."
Yes. Buffing has been allowed. He buffed while you climbed the stairs. Besides, I've been enjoying the bit of role-play before the finale.
"Trick you? Evil? I am who I am. I did not ambush you as you trampled through my tower. I did not pick you off like one at a time like ants marching to a picnic. If you truly hate evil so much, why not cudgel that half-orc standing next to you?"
Again, it's hard to tell since he has not lips, but the tone definitely reveals the sarcasm and righteous smirk in his comments.
