Shackled City (Pathfinder) - GM_Chris

Game Master Chris Shannon 719

This will be the Shackled City adventure path using the Pathfinder rule set. However, the existing deities (i.e. St. Cuthbert, Pelor, Wee Jas) will not be converted to similar Golarion gods.

As we head into the party's final trip, go ahead and level up if you'd like--or not if it's a pain. As demonstrated once again, the party is already beyond the power level of the mod so I need to tweak things anyway.

All right peoples, let's finish this thing. A couple good weeks and it will all be fond memories.

"Fond"?!

Dyrant *facepalms*.

That's not the piddlespotting word I would piddlespotting use.

Thanks for sticking through the grind of level 12+ play!

Agreed, Glimmil. Thanks, Chris!

So, I may be the only mean jerky person who's leveling up. Here's what that includes:

Skills
+1 Acrobatics
+1 Knowledge (nature)
+1 Perception
+1 Sense motive
+1 Linguistics (abyssal)
+2 Knowledge (planes)
+1 UMD

BAB +1
Fort +1
Ref +1
One level 6 infusion slot

Discoveries
• Extend potion
• Eternal potion (feat – Extra Discovery): usually used for Haste

To be sold
• Boots of speed

Don't really need more stuff, except maybe 20 durable adamantine arrows and 20 durable cold iron arrows.

I'll dump the party in Carceri tomorrow.

Sorry for the delay. Multiple city operation came up.

M Steinneblin (Rock Gnome) Paladin 16/Cavalier 1

Glimmil leveled up, it was mostly to pick up Wheeling Charge so that he could maybe get one last charge in.

+1 Disable, +1 Climb
Wheeling Charge

With 15-20K of "last run funny money", Glimmil simply picks up a +3 lance to replace his +1 lance because he appears really interested in charging something during their planewalking.

@Chris: Let me know if there's any issues here.

Hate to curse it, but thanks to everyone for keeping up. Feels like we're back to a good pace.

Over 18K with discussion. We are pro.

(but more than anything, testament to our fine GM Chris sticking through it all!)

Sorry for the delay. Hosting family for the holidays including 3 adults, two toddlers, and a dog. The cats do not approve, but have established their own space.

Why is it that the religious people are always starting the battles?

Won't be able to do that until tonight.

I'll need to get my updated sheet into my iPad, I'm traveling to Florida to work next week so I'll need my magical statter upper.

Sorry guys. In Cancun and had delusions of updating. Back Saturday.

Yo Peeps--

Heads up that I'll be AFK from April 8th to 19th. Going to Cuba on a Culture, Economics, and Technology junket with a board that I used to be on. More info here.

Feel free to play or GMPC my <insert yahoo's name here> for all the fun and laughs you can muster. Online access in Cuba is very rare and usually dial-up speeds so I won't be able to post much, but hope to read along when I can.

I hope to be back to posting on the 20th or so, given that I have a long trip home and will need some recovery time.

Signed,
<your favorite yahoo in this PbP>

Not waiting for Dyrant. Just swamped.

And almost 5 years later our tale comes to a close.

Thank you everyone for your dedication and patience. Thank you for your creativity, teamwork, and support.

This adventure got me through some dark times in my life and has seen me into some grand adventures in real life. Unfortunately, it meant that it did not get as much of my attention as I would have liked in this last year, but I still enjoyed this up until the end.

I learned so much in this adventure and hopefully I will put it to use in the future. Thank you to everyone for bringing your characters and the NPC's to life. There are very few battles I remember, but there are so many moments of humor and drama that still bring a smile to my face during random moments of any given day. You truly created a group of heroes that broke the mold, but still somehow meshed together.

Thank you to Glimmil for his consistent play and ability to remain in character even if not to his advantage. Thank you to Atol for his posts here (and especially in his own campaign) that always made me feel like an amateur. Thanks to Toffitt for pushing the boundaries and the limits of the game, but doing so with a willingness to not derail the game. Thanks to Finneas for making his dead parents so alive. And finally, thanks--I think--to Dyrant for shoving this book in my hands.

Thank you Chris for running this through to completion. You've done a great job of bringing Cauldron to life, and like you I don't remember many of the fights but the in character moments have always been great.

Ack! The feelings! The memories!! At least this rendition will be stored on the Paizo site for all time until goblins eat the servers. While I am only (mostly) proud of the summation of Dyrant's actions, I can say I am definitely appreciative of what everyone else has contributed.

Thank you again, GM Gristle. It was good.

The pleasure has been mine. I believe it was a lot of work to adapt this AP to Pathfinder and I appreciate the effort. You've been amazing.

Yes, absolutely, thank you Chris for this marvelous ride! My first PbP, and what a ride it's been. :D

Thanks!!

WE DID IT!

Glimmil does loop-de-loos like a Dyrant-summoned archon.

First AP I've ever played through to completion. Possibly the first AP I've ever played halfway to completion.

True credit falls to you GM Chris, it's no small order to keep things humming for so many years through so many highs and lows and so many assorted schedule/real-life hurdles.

Thanks again to all of you for allowing Glimmil to join your forces early on, it's been truly appreciated.
