A idea to use if the party wants to have a rest in the last dungeon, would be the use of the Fugitive's Grenade and just up the duration to 8 hours or most likely 9 hours if you have spell casters. A problem might come from that of the party getting or making more Fugitive's Grenade and using them for that in every situation. making it more expensive would make it less likely they would do so and would fit in the price formula of upping the duration.

Adventure: Night of Frozen Shadows
Location: on shore to go to Snorri's funeral boat
Catalyst: shark eating crab

as the party was getting ready to to to the funeral boat the crab came out of the water and snapped one of the boats in half, part won initiative and crab only beat wizard, bard tried to make a friend by casting cure and touching it. witch hit it with a ranged spell for some damage, ninja moved around invisible to flank it. crab went and got a critical on witch adding constrict damage she died right then, then attacked bard and got a crit once more bard player was watching the die roll and said it was a crit. that attack took the bard to negative hp and grabbed. wizard took a withdraw action to get away. turn 2 ninja just stayed invisible as it had taken out two party members with one attack each. crab charged wizard and hit and killed him with normal damage, then crab kept up the grab on bard and did constrict and killed bard. ninja grabbed witch's body and hid till the crab left then used the seal to bring her back.

ten mins latter part was back up with the help of a long running npc that just likes the party, using salve of second chances.

Location: Hallway outside of Central Processor

Party tried to open up the Central Processor room and that triggered a hallway fight, with the fighter putting himself in the way protecting all the other party members, the druid got rid of the small fries, while the gunslinger was picking the lock to Central Processor room. Kulgara got in some good hits and the fighter went down, but its victory did not last long as kulgara went down before they could act once more. After they use the salve of second chances and he rolled a male orc once more, and as it was near the full moon he rolled twice and got male orc once more.


For my group, they beat the first star ship fight, it was a learning curve for all of us. but after they decided to catch the Stiletto and i let them have land it in the cargo bay of the Hippocampus, looking at the rules it says that a star ship at 0 or less hp drifts at half its speed in a given direction, with the Stiletto being 12 speed as a base line, going to half making it 6 matching the speed of the Hippocampus. the party just boosted its speed to 8 and got in front of it and caught it. then i had clara pop up from the cockpit with her holographic clone already up. they took her down but left her alive. She was taken away by the guards i had in the armada that the party called and it took a half hour for them to show up.

For other dms this could still play out with players catching the Stilletto, just being outside of the ship and a zero g fight.

one player stealth in and placed Cylex on HELSKARG chariot in the night. the next day they fought her and gunslinger and barbarian planned to have the gunslinger shoot and the barbarian detonate the charge making the gunslinger look more powerful. HELSKARG lived and the reincarnated druid ran in and cast Cheetah’s Sprint and then when in reach of the troll blew up. thus killing himself.

Just under 1 death per session, only half of them are from me as the gm. They are all in character a family, druid grandpa, fighter grandson, tech slinger and barbarian are brothers and the druid is there great uncle, they call him gruncle. they are making use of Salve of the Second Chance and are having fun with the reincarnation table, so kid gloves are off. more then likely will have more latter.

first to describe of neck biter, a goblin with 5 charisma, wearing over his armor a suit made of dog skins(looks dapper he got a nat 20 on crafting it).

During the event inside the church, it turned into a brawl with the rest of the followers coming to help the priestess, neck bitter was hurt and was transformed into his wearboar form(using rules form horror adventurer) the common people were scared but knew they had to kill the half goblin boar monstrosity. he was brought to negative hp then a coup de grace was done on him ending his life.

well sad news, we just lost our bard, making it now a party of three players. so i feel that i should call this game, it should not take too long to get into another game. i am sorry but that is how things go some times. i did have fun with this group, and i hope to see you guys in other games as time goes on. i might even try to dm latter, under my own terms and not someone elses.

the pebbles would be something you could have easily found or have at this point, no need to look for them at this time. after all you always have that spell, you have your gear back, why would you not have a number of pebbles in your gear for when you cast it.

If someone does not post in a weeks time, i will have to move the game along, if it is in combat, then i will try to have you take an action that you would likely do, or take a delay action if i am unsure what you might do. if in other times i will have you listen as the situation calls for it.

i am not trying to be mean with any of this. i just wish to move the game along and have people have fun.

You are all brought down to the bilge and the trap door is tossed open, a dry heat comes out, very hot condition so saves will be needed if you are in there for more then an hour.

plugg Hmm seems you got some gear, at least you wont die too fast down there. Now get in there and dont come out till everything that is a threat dies with that he walks away to go do his other duty's for the day.

hmm seems a wedding i had to go to and a day of picking up someones shift at work made this latter then i planned. also for the ones who had there night actions skipped there are still many days left to go nuts with.

About ten minuets after you get your day job assignments, all of you on deck can make a perception check

Grok laughs when Lorelei mentions the lashes. I wanted to know why you got them this time. Now it makes sense. I bet scourge was mad at you, and did not want to hurt our girl here, because he might try to sleep with her latter. too funny She just laughs some more. odiseo:

Not this, that is for sure. I thought it would be all gold and women not this muck. but good to see someone else has to do this with me. Cant wait till we are done. I just put the xxx in there randomly, nothing in mind at the time.

Lorelei:

As you start to small talk her the question you have comes up. grok Oh ya that problem, I bet with you newbies luck it was Plugg or scourge that found you, that would be funny. But i do have a place that I like to use for my own fun with who i want, You can use it for an hour when you ask me, she leans over and whispers into your ear, it is the quarter master room, it can lock from the inside. But if you take anything from there i will gut you. she backs away and laugh's. Giving a blush of her own when fish guts walks by.


Sandara well unless anyone else has something to say, lets try our best on this, after all we don't want to be keelhauled, and a friend is less likely to report on us.

No one dares to harass the group as you go up for your daily tasks, not after what happened yesterday.

Lorelei you have a slight headache and part of the night is a little blurry, but you know you could put it together if you tried.

Ornotck you are quite satisfied with how last night went, mostly the part after the whipping.

Havok, sandara is swabbing the deck with you, as are a fair number of the crew,

fen, as your trying to catch turtles, it seems that Maya wants to help you, your call if you use her help.

Ragnar, Plugg makes fun of you a little and tell you a code you should use if you see something, because you cant speak normally,

odiseo:
The small monkey tilts its head at you, and slowly walks toward you, as it comes closer you see a small collar on it, It starts to sniff you as if it is looking for food, then goes up your leg onto your back, you can hear it sniffing all the way up.

if you want to go below after the monkey climes on you, you can join in and hear the talk the rest of the group is having

fen:

As Fen picks up the otter and looks at it, the otter stares into Fens eyes, you can feel power and knowledge flowing from it into you, time seems to stand still after you name her Maya. An other worldly voice speaks to you in your mind, Ah another awakens to power, tell us young one, what patron do you wish to serve? and what low level spells do you wish to start your journey with.
Before you the world changes, A number of statues with different words carved beneath each one are before you in a chamber, a table at your height stands in the middle of the room with a short list,
choose one of the statues the stand before you as your patron, and from the list pick 6 spells, be quick we don't have much time after you pick out your spells and patron, time starts to move once more, and you can hear yourself finishing the word Maya.

i thought this was a neat way to make a witch a witch, i will give a description of the patron you pick out, we can keep this going while you join in the other group conversation. if you pick the monkey this is what will happen too.

Sandara Ah looks like the two love birds made it back, and oh look it is Ragnar too, good good i think we have enough to get started then. I am sure you know this already but this is not the best ship to draw attention on, if you do it looks like you die, and the captain doesn't care. After all he can just press more people after we would die. So I have a plan, it might not be easy or even work, but better then nothing. I say each of us trys to make as much of the lower crew friendly to us, even if it is just on a one on one basis, there is strength in numbers after all. but that is just one plan, anyone else have an idea? she moves her hand around to each person giving them time to respond if they wish.


Ragnar:

As fen opens the bag, small growls are heard as a very small muzzle pokes its head out, seemingly not enjoying the time it spent in the bag. It is an otter, it climbs out of the bag and up onto fen's back and starts to sniff her hair and cloths, Knowledge nature checks if you wish to know more.
sandaraeather it hated being in that bag or it really likes you girl she smiles at the otters antics, then looks over at havok,

then a man with two bloody hands and a blue scarf wrapped around his head comes walking up to Sandara.

cog Looks like i need some healing, if your able to, that new rigger is strong, beat me easily in arm wrestling he holds up his hands hoping for the to be fixed.

sandara looks at fen and havok how can arm wrestling do that much damage i know there is glass, but this is too much, Did Ragnar get hurt at all? or just you? she says as she looks at his hands

if you choose to wrap up quickly, then you walk in and see sandara holding a symbol while in front of a man with bloody hands, his hands stop bleeding, Fen and havok are in front of you two. fen has a otter on her back sniffing her hair.


ragnar:

Sandara comes back after a few moments away, blushing a little bit.
It seems they will be with us after a little while, they are umm a bit tangled up for now. Where is Ragnar and the other man anyway? Also before I forget, I managed to gather some things up from the half orc quartermaster the first day you were all drugged,
