dropping my Guild tag for this post to show its just my opinion

I agree with Golgotha staying in the landrush as it was an entity prior

oh I must have missunderstood Ryan's post then

I figured that he meant that early in EE they will grow in power when attacked most likely to to the smaller amount of players and players still starting out so that the wilderness hexes way out there that would take time to get to and explore wouldnt be too powerful for player expansion when they finally got that far out. Then later in EE when players are more or less spread out through the world and a bit more seasoned and organised the EC would switch to becoming more powerful when left alone.

The EC thing just kinda got me a lil confused when you talked about both happening at once

Does the training at POIs is limited statement mean that they can only go up so high or that its limited to only 1 or 2 skills?

Would desecration of a shrine to an opposing god be in the game and if so how would alignments shift?

In my opinion
I do not see the "Opt-in" Flag being put in game, because(again, in my opinion) it would end up hurting the character interaction of the game more then it helps. It would lessen the amount of people engaging in the main interactions of the game.
assuming of course that the intended actions were geared for a more logistical and social approach to pvp then the -me and my friends only want to pvp so we are going to hide away in this little corner over here- approach while being social within the little group isnt really the definition of social i think they are going for

as an addition to my last remark

If most crafters or companies do put a mark on their product, I do see the fence viable in having such a skill as to remove or change the "made by" mark. Also, as pointed out it wouldn't fall into mvp territory so would be put in at a later date

In regards to the "stolen item" flag on goods
Will crafted items have the "made by ThisGuy" phrase in the descriptor? I haven't really seen a yes or no, but most games have that on crafted gear and it also serves as a psuedo "stolen item" flag. If you know that Flintlokk goods are only distributed to certified Pax Pagan vendors(just as an example) Then anyone in the community would know that the shady vendor in the Various goods shop selling said item in bulk has more than likely aquired the items in question in a less honorable fashion. Where someone just visiting the settlement will go to the same stall and see it as a good deal, make his purchass and be on his merry way. Although he may suspect there is a reasoning behind the cheap prices he just brushes it aside because it is really not his concern at the moment

I may be way off base here, but I was under the impression that the rep system was more of a way that GW game up with to discourage griefing and as a way to reward playing the game as they envisioned. Where is loosly tied into faction but mostly a mechanic in and of itself.

- A question in regards to unrest -
For clarification is the intended effect of unrest slower production?
ie high unrest will slow down npc run harvesting, building, and training times thus making it less profitable in the long run without amassing a huge number of slaves/undead to try and counteract this factor.

I would think that it would be considered praiseworthy if a small band of bandits managed to successfully sack a well guarded transport, wherein the overcame great numbers through stealth, subterfuge, magic, and or some high-flying acrobatics. Even then mostly by other bandit types.

I also do not see how making them hostile to all is the same as marking them as a griefer.
I agree with Andius' point that choosing a location for the ambush is the responsibility of the aggressor

oh i just wrote in lawful as an afterthought when writing it. I guess good is more likely a better requirement as opposed to lawful since it would play upon the individuals morality

As to being made legal or illegal i would figure that it is subject to the same rules and regulations as any of the other actions

mainly just putting an idea out there for considerations and as sort of a middleground the the discussion of a 3rd party coming across a SAD in action

Goblin Squad Member

@Bludd

Would a Cease and Desist(CAD) flag to stop your SAD action be a worthwhile mechanic if it gave the options of either ceasing your SAD or to continue with the SAD action with the one initiating the CAD flag as a viable target? (CAD being restricted to the lawful alignment)

not sure if that helps or just makes it too complicated

Flintlokk here
I guess you would call my group affiliation a meta-group - Gayme0n
in-game charter name is still yet to be decided so for now, I suppose, Unaffiliated would work best.
Future proprietor of Flintlokk's Wonders.
(to clear any possible confusion Trippic is my other name on forum, but don't plan on fielding a character with that name until the monk class comes out)
