Seeking a quick kill, Fin risks the deadly fists of the creature and rushes in, sword raised high. She dodges but it doesn't fool the golem. It slams a hammer-blow into the elf, nearly knocking her unconscious. At the same time, syringes fire chemicals into her chest. Fin twitches and drops to the ground, her muscles locked up.
Not seeing the fate of the Chairman, and fear all but consuming her, Fin runs. She bolts northward at the considerable speed provided by her long legs and magic. She runs through the waterfall, past Ushari's rapier lying discarded on the ground, and out an exit on the far side of the room.
Jofram collects a modest pile of the ship's wooden remains for a campfire.
Fin speaks to Straehan briefly in her liquid language before entering the water. She is gone for many minutes. When she emerges, Fin accompanies a rapid-fire commentary while gesturing at the water in one spot.
Fin staggers over catching Jofram's speculation about the best path. She shakes her head at the path he indicates, "Circle room with evil lantern that way. No exits."
Ushari - you've got a lot of banged up people here. Feel free to roll for whatever amount of healing you'd like to do, spells cast, etc. I'm happy to apply the results as best I can so that everyone benefits.
Fin can do little more than clear her head, wobble unsteadily to her feet and draw her bow, not willing to risk getting close to Iron Bar. The woman in the corner, seeing an opportunity chases after her friend who ran down the corridor, saying "I'll go get her before she runs into more trouble."
Round: 4
ORDER: Jayse, Jofram, Straehan, Iron Bar, Ushari, Women, Fin
Fin races up the hall and stumbles past the creature, earning its ire. She catches a bolt of lightning in the cheek. The elf, dazed from the electricity dancing along her skull, throws a feeble blow that only serves to distract the lantern-creature as Jayse leaps at it from 'behind'.
Fin points to the light prints creeping along the edge of the path. "He sat here for some time and then moved that way."
Just to be clear, you don't see his footprints disappearing. Fin stopped at the point where Jayse hid and then moved off. She hasn't tracked him any further.
Fin weaves back and forth through the grain, looking for any signs of Jayse. She calls you all forward, pointing to a spot on the ground that appears to have a deep set of footprints and several lighter ones in the same size.
Through Straehan she says, "It looks like Jayse sat here for quite some time watching and then moved in the direction of the wagon. He didn't appear to be in a hurry."
Fin spends 10 minutes roaming around the wheat field, looking at the terrain, feeling the soil, and comparing it to the path. Her Aquan response is lengthy.
Straehan translates, "It's hard to say. The soil is softer and slower off the path. There are burrows and trails of gophers and other creatures that could turn an ankle, slow a cart down, or damage a wheel. They would be a lot slower off the path, if they go carefully."
Fin steps forward, her blade singing a song of death for the blinded ogre. Sadly, her song is slightly off-key. Her blow bounces off a massive warty carbuncle on the creature's chest.
Fin staggers from the blow and drives her massive blade at the Ettin. Unfortunately, it just barely misses the mark - scarring but not penetrating its thick hide.
