Fin bumps shoulders with the monk in thanks and gestures at Ushari and Straehan, "Keep little ones safe."

Jayse - we'll call that roll close enough to realise that something Fin said bothers Strae.

"Yes! I look for you, 'Shari. Be well."

Fin nods and gives the human girl an awkward hug.

Fin walks over shyly, something weighing on her mind. "Hi Itty-Bitty" she says before launching into a long halting stream of Aquan.

Seeking a quick kill, Fin risks the deadly fists of the creature and rushes in, sword raised high. She dodges but it doesn't fool the golem. It slams a hammer-blow into the elf, nearly knocking her unconscious. At the same time, syringes fire chemicals into her chest. Fin twitches and drops to the ground, her muscles locked up.

rolls:
Acrobatics 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22 FAILED

AoO Fin (AC:21): 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (20) + 19 = 39 DAM: 16 + 8 = 24 + Alchemy Crit?
Confirm - 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (5) + 19 = 24 TOTAL DAM: 24 + 2d8 + 8 ⇒ 24 + (8, 3) + 8 = 43 Yes
ALCHEMY: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Reflex DC:16 negates - SAVE: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 FAIL - Entangled 1d4 ⇒ 4 RNDs

Not seeing the fate of the Chairman, and fear all but consuming her, Fin runs. She bolts northward at the considerable speed provided by her long legs and magic. She runs through the waterfall, past Ushari's rapier lying discarded on the ground, and out an exit on the far side of the room.

Fin sprints forward and takes a position near Jofram, blade held ready to lash out.

MOVE and Readied Attack

Fin casts a variety of spells...

RND 1: Cast Shield on self and draw sword
RND 2: Cast Shield on Jayse
RND 1: Cast Expeditious Retreat on self

"Ready."

Jofram collects a modest pile of the ship's wooden remains for a campfire.

Fin speaks to Straehan briefly in her liquid language before entering the water. She is gone for many minutes. When she emerges, Fin accompanies a rapid-fire commentary while gesturing at the water in one spot.

Straehan nods.

Cast Touch of the Sea

Fin looks sourly at the idea of guarding a bunch of mewling women but she merely nods.

Fin staggers over catching Jofram's speculation about the best path. She shakes her head at the path he indicates, "Circle room with evil lantern that way. No exits."

Ushari - you've got a lot of banged up people here. Feel free to roll for whatever amount of healing you'd like to do, spells cast, etc. I'm happy to apply the results as best I can so that everyone benefits.

Fin can do little more than clear her head, wobble unsteadily to her feet and draw her bow, not willing to risk getting close to Iron Bar. The woman in the corner, seeing an opportunity chases after her friend who ran down the corridor, saying "I'll go get her before she runs into more trouble."

Round: 4
ORDER: Jayse, Jofram, Straehan, Iron Bar, Ushari, Women, Fin

Fin sprints after the monk, ignoring the woman running in the other direction. She pulls up alongside Jayse, breathing hard, and surveys the scene.

She nods at Jayse's statement. Nmerous small scorch-marks riddle her body.

ORDER: Jayse, Fin, Cap'n, Jofram, Straehan, Iron Bar, Ushari, Women

Fin races up the hall and stumbles past the creature, earning its ire. She catches a bolt of lightning in the cheek. The elf, dazed from the electricity dancing along her skull, throws a feeble blow that only serves to distract the lantern-creature as Jayse leaps at it from 'behind'.

rolls:
FIN ACRO:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
ZAP AoO (Fin): 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19 DAM: 2d8 - 5 ⇒ (4, 5) - 5 = 4
Fin Sword (19+/2x) HIT 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 2 = 14 DAM: 1d10 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 2 = 14 unicorn

Fin is surprised at the lantern's hasty exit. She looks to Jayse, eyes wide. "Chase? Pass it?"

ORDER: Lantern, Jayse, Fin

Fin points to the light prints creeping along the edge of the path. "He sat here for some time and then moved that way."

Just to be clear, you don't see his footprints disappearing. Fin stopped at the point where Jayse hid and then moved off. She hasn't tracked him any further.

Fin weaves back and forth through the grain, looking for any signs of Jayse. She calls you all forward, pointing to a spot on the ground that appears to have a deep set of footprints and several lighter ones in the same size.

Through Straehan she says, "It looks like Jayse sat here for quite some time watching and then moved in the direction of the wagon. He didn't appear to be in a hurry."

Tracking 1d20 + 12 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 12 + 2 + 2 = 20 Unicorn Bonus, Human target

Fin spends 10 minutes roaming around the wheat field, looking at the terrain, feeling the soil, and comparing it to the path. Her Aquan response is lengthy.

Straehan translates, "It's hard to say. The soil is softer and slower off the path. There are burrows and trails of gophers and other creatures that could turn an ankle, slow a cart down, or damage a wheel. They would be a lot slower off the path, if they go carefully."

Fin ignores the conversation, her eyes on the unicorn. As she approaches the creature one more time, it shakes its head at her.

Fin speaks in a soothing voice and moves closer to the unicorn yet again.

Enchanted, Fin steps closer to the unicorn. She wonders what the shiny creature feels like and imagines how it would be to ride her.

Fin rises slowly, shaky after the beating she took. She watches the unicorn with open wonder and interest.

Fin lunges at the nearest ogre driving her blade towards it. She stumbles and her blow goes wide.

Whoosh (19-20×2) HIT: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 8 + 1 = 11 DAM: 1d10 + 5 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 6 = 18 PA, bless

Fin steps forward, her blade singing a song of death for the blinded ogre. Sadly, her song is slightly off-key. Her blow bounces off a massive warty carbuncle on the creature's chest.

Whoosh (19-20×2) HIT: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 DAM: 1d10 + 5 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 6 = 12 PA

Fin staggers from the blow and drives her massive blade at the Ettin. Unfortunately, it just barely misses the mark - scarring but not penetrating its thick hide.

Whoosh (19-20×2) HIT: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 DAM: 1d10 + 5 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 6 = 20 Power Attack

At the end of her run, Fin ducks into a small thicket, hoping the falling dark and rising fog will make her harder to see.

F's Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

HEY! No soup for you, slacker! Welcome back!

Fin chances casting a spell surreptitiously to give her the speed to escape pursuers. Success!

Jayse holds his breath as she casts a spell and then takes off like a bolt!

Fin casts Expeditious Retreat and hauls ass.

rolls:
CONCENTRATION v DC17 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Acrobatics 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

Fin runs like the wind, south and east, escaping the clutches of the pursuing pirates.

"GET that wench!"

Withdraw

Fin withdraws and sprints east, dodging the one pirate that attempts to cut her down.

Scimitar (18+/2x) HIT 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 DAM 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
