I couldn't find an answer over several searches, so... Assume I take the appropriate prerequisites to take levels in Battle Herald. For this question, assume I go cavalier (hussar) 4/bard 1. My next 5 levels leave me a cavalier (hussar) 4/bard 1/battle herald 5. At this point I finally gain the Banner ability (the 5th level battle herald ability), which states it is identical to the cavalier ability of the same name, save for stacking battle herald levels with cavalier levels. Does the banner function as a level 9 cavalier or is it some other effective cavalier level? If I took one more level in either cavalier or battle herald, would banner function as a level 10 cavalier? Thank you everyone for your help. FIG
Is there a way to add a "go to moderator/Paizo employee response" button/feature to the boards? There are times when I am unable to devote time to 10+ pages of comments when what I'm looking for a quick moderated response, be it a funny comment or a rough rules interpretation. I'm sorry if this has already been asked: A quick search didn't find anything.
I asked this elsewhere and decided to bring it to a more "formal" questions space. I couldn't find more direct answer for this. The animal companions from each of the above classes (Cavalier/Samurai, Life Oracle and Mammoth Rider) stack provided they all share an animal, correct? For instance, a wolf is on all the lists (for a small creature). On the other hand, I couldn't have a baluchitherium or triceratops as my companion because it is not on all the lists. Additionally, if I were to have enough levels to get to Mammoth Rider (8 Cavalier, 1 Oracle (Bonded Mount), 1 Mammoth Rider), can I get a Huge wolf? As a halfling, can I actually ride this mount? Finally, in the above example, would my mount have an int of at least 6 from Bonded Mount?
Any thoughts? I was thinking of creating one for a Rise of the Runelords game. The campaign is largely unrelated to the overall question. Halfling Cavalier (Order of the Lion [to be a team player]) for the first 2 or so levels, then a level of Nature Oracle for Bonded Mount (haunted curse, and Extra Revelation for Whispers of Nature). Cavalier levels until 8 or 9, then Mammoth Rider. The halfling would be melee with a flanking buddy, and basically acting as the bard. Given the Bonded Mount, I was thinking of both the mount and me taking Step Up or teamwork feats more generally. I suppose I would need to keep a wolf throughout the life of the character, though I like the idea of riding a huge wolf. Actually, can I take a different sort of mount because of the Mammoth Rider levels? I was thinking attributes as following: STR 16 (-2) = 14 DEX 8 (+2) = 10 CON 14 (+0) = 14 INT 12 (+0) = 12 WIS 10 (+0) = 10 CHA 14 (+2) = 16
This question deals with PFS, contains spoilers, and may not be in the correct forum. By all means, move it to a more appropriate board if that is the case. Was there ever a proper ruling regarding the thread title? The Craft feats were covered through an errata, but was this ever addressed? Specifically: if I fully complete PFS scenario #4-05 (The Sanos Abduction), can I use the rewards fully with an alchemist? Would it be possible for alchemist with a tumor familiar to be modified by Improved Familiar? Hinging on that answer, is it possible for that same alchemist to gain Riddywipple as a familiar?
This might be better off in the "Advice" board. If so, feel free to move it. Does anyone have any suggestions for assembling a "freedom fighters" adventure? Are there any existing products (APs, Modules, 3pp settings) where this is a theme? What did you find to be most interesting about the game or product? I would like to go about making a Dune like game, and don't have all that great a grasp on making the threat seem more appropriate.
Assuming equal CR. I'm putting together the last bits of an adventure and I'm looking for input on the final BBEG. It will be either a devourer or a lich at the bottom of a crypt complex. If backstory helps, it's an undead hunters campaign with books 2 and 4 of Council of Thieves worked in for some setting. The characters are only going to level ~10.
Are there designated rules for how to increase the caster level of a spell through helping actions (aid another, perhaps)? Or, do I look into something more along the lines of Craft Construct? I'm trying to eventually have my group go against permanently animated buildings being used as siege weapons. I won't get into all the details, but I would like to have some buildings lumbering across the countryside in something that perhaps vaguely resembles Shadow of the Colossus. Is there a good set of 3pp rules for getting a coven/witches circle together to increase the caster level of a "group spell?" |
