Though Fiero could see the visible brand on his chest, he didn't realize the full extent of the curse placed on him by the monks of the Priestess until after they moved on. The glowing light made hunting for food nearly impossible. The creatures of the forest shunned him and he soon felt like an alien presence in his own home.
Too late he tried to pick up the trail of the monks and began wandering all over the land. Everywhere he stopped it was the same, the monks were no where to be seen. And no one could remove the curse.
He took to stealing for food and following any trail that might lead him to an answer. He found himself in the capital city, the heart of civilization. If there was anywhere he could find an answer it would be here.
Golden Serpent Inn
At the Golden Serpent Inn he finally found a little bit of home. One of the workers, a half-elf named Hale, keeps a small garden in the back, the center of which is dominated by an old birch tree. Since discovering it, Fiero has spent many hours trying to coax the tree's spirit to communicate. All he has been able to sense so far is a profound loneliness.
