Silver Crusade

Thank you. UR right.

Silver Crusade

A friend told me that Summon Animal spells are real useful. I would like to get a "Pet". "PF PC Animal Archive" has lots of Animals for sale and some come trained.
How does Training a animal (Dog of Wolf)using the Handle Animal skill work in PFS? It takes 4 weeks to train a Animal for Combat in the Core Rulebook.
(This is for my 1st level Cleric for Defence/protection.) Is it done during the "Day Job check"?

Thanks for everyone's input.

Ogar's RPG guide says a Alchemist can brew a Cure lt wound potion. With that brew, they are able to use a "wond of Cure lt wounds".
It was also stated (by another player) "Alchemists don't Cast spells, therefore they Can't use Wonds".
Can a Alchemist Use a wond that matches a spell/potion in their book?

(For PFS)I am also thinking of a Human Int/ Dex Bomber with a 1 level dip into Wiz. I would get 3 spells and a Familiar. I would like to use monster summon 1.
I don't see this character as a Melee fighter and would not get past 5HD. Maybe this is a good use for the Trait:Magical knack (WIZ)to improve effectiveness of 1st level spells.
I am thinking of Feats: Precise shot and Point blank shot and use a bow. The Vile launching crossbow looks fun(PC;Adventurers's Armory)
Any Advise.

Reach clerics look good at first. They need Feat:Combat Expert. Req Int of 13 and the # of attacks is Dex based.
Clerica are So MAD. Wis based. Chr is the amount of Channel heals. SFeat: Selective channel min chr is 13. If they use a melee weapon, you want a good Str or one that Bull Str will be useful.

Silver Crusade

I made a lot of mistakes on my first PFS Cleric. having a low Chr did hurt a little with Channeling and not being able to take selective channeling feat. I will be at low levels only.( I can only play at Game Cons 8 game in a weekend. My 2 year old cleric is 8th level and it is getting Scarry. Only 2 survivors in the last adventure.)
I have a Archer/Buff cleric level 1, ready for the season. There is a trade off with Dex and heavy armor, I did not see. I want to try Armor and Shield/ Morning star. My old cleric finds himself in melee combat even when I try to avoid it.

Silver Crusade

I want to build a Cleric Tank. I want to dip 1 or 2 levels in Fighter or Paladin. (I have looked at the archtypes and don't care for them)
I plan to wear Mytheral silver agile plate armor (some day).
A fighter would give me Heavy Armor use and extra Feats.
How will magical Knack effect my clseic ability. If I take 2 levels in a fighter, then become a Cleric? My first level spells would be as casted by a 3rd level cleric and that is it?

Silver Crusade

Thanks for the input. Bit of luck does seem lame for a melee cleric. I did not think of dumping chr. Channel healing are extra spells. I am looking at the lower tier. A huge gaol is to get the charcter to 6th level (cleric). I don't get the opportunity to play PFS very often. No games in my area.
I mostly play at game cons, 7 or 8 games a year. (I am looking into getting more play time;My home game group couldn't handle D&D 3.5)
My current cleric is a buff/Archer/ Healing machine. Mostly support. He took 2 years to reach 8th level.
I wanted to start another character becasue I can use a new character to apply pre-gen credits to. Also, last game we lost 3 characters. I want to get into the thick of it and live. My first character for PFS is a Fighter/archer with a 2handed weapon. None of my characters use a shield.
I looked at a Paladin but it has to be too high level to cast spells (for the amount of games I can play)

I plan to Make Another archer cleric wond user. Healing and Fire domains.
I will read over all of your input again and goto any links.
Thanks and Yes, " tell me about your character"

I like playing my Archer/ Healer cleric, level 8. I don't get the chance to play PFS very often, so I will not be getting to higher levels. I want to build a Mele Combat cleric. I don't like the "diminished casting ability" with archtypes. I have Pre-gen character credit(games) to apply.

I thought about Multi-class with 1 level of Fighter to get heavy armor use and access to Feats that require BAB +1.
I plan to get Mytheral armor when the character can get the gold.

Is Multi-classing this character a Bad Idea?

This will be my first Character that will use a shield. I was thinking of using a Morning star. I like the bonus: skills, feat, stat of Humans.
I have not selected traits. The Cleric Domains will be Healing and Luck with no diety favored weapon.

I am still working on ability stats but Wis,Str and Con will be important. A chr of 12 will give me selective channel of 1. Although I am use to not having that feat.

My main character is a Buff/Healer and I like that role. With this new character, I can use Bull strength on myself now

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I discovered PFS at DunDraCon. I played Valeros 3 back to back games. I did not have time to purchase the book or to start another character.
I don't want to play Valeros. Can I create a new character and apply the 3 chronicles to her?
How?: Use the Valeros character number (#1)and redo the stats/feats ect.

Silver Crusade

I play a Cleric with the Healing Domain. How does Rebuke death work?
(core rule book pg44) Heal 1d4 +1/2 your level. Only works on creatures below 0 HP. Does it auto Stabilize?
If a PC is at -2 hp and the heal total is 5. Is he alive and stable with 3hp?
Do I need to stabilize the PC also? Or is it just to delay death? PC @ -7 rebuked for 5hp is she now @ -2hp and in need of stabilize.

Silver Crusade

I only play Pathfinder at conventions But, I played a 6th level Cleric (Healing & Goodness.Leveled up to 8th at the con.) I buffed the fighters in the group with Bless and Bull strength. If your party has "Magic Users" There are defensive spells they can use on him. Then I was back up with massive healing. If your group is higher level there are many other spells that can buff him up.
When he is dealing massive damage, He is a threat and a target.(that's what you wanted)
I agree with enlarged and reach weapons.
