Our Kickstarter to fund the filming of our theatrical production of the events surrounding the Night of Ashes has been funded. By January you should have be able to download your own digital copy or order a DVD. The story features Rexus, Laria, Octavio, and Paracount Barzallai Thrune. You still have a week to pre-order your copy through our Kickstarter for only $10.00. Your contribution will help increase the production values of the show and make Live Adventure Theater happen. Greetings Paizo Community, It has been a few years, but the Company of Warriors is back with live Pathfinder onstage in Portland, Oregon. First it was Burnt Offerings, we followed it up with The Black Mask of Absalom. Now is your chance to see the Night of Ashes come to life 5 feet in front of your face, or to see it filmed in all it's glory. Working with James, Crystal and the Paizo team, we are creating a theatrical presentation of events preceding the first part of Hell's Rebels. Live Steel, special effects, monsters all in a professional auditorium as Red as the eyes of Asmodeus. If you are interested in getting a copy of the video or, even better, want to come see our show, check our our Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/346863196/night-of-ashes?ref=video or on our company website: http://companyofwarriors.weebly.com And, once again, thank you to the greatest gaming community on the planet.
To add onto the excitement and joy of the upcoming Hell's Rebels Adventure Path, why not go see a live theater show. A Company of Warriors presents: Night of Ashes
at the Winningstad Theater in Portland, Oregon
from the producer of "Burnt Offerings, the stage play" and "The Black Mask, a tale of Absalom"

Perhaps I am not seeing this Events page that you speak of. Can you link it?
I can't seem to find event threads for: Saturday 08:00 AM – 01:00 PM
or Saturday 01:00 PM – 06:00 PM
It would be helpful to have a page where the events are still listed like they were before the Lottery was over and for the GMs from those events to start a thread so players can begin planning.
I was actually a big fan of Council of Thieves and managed to keep the Council alive and well throughout the AP. More rebellion in Cheliax is always a good thing. At this point though, I am feeling so sorry for the poor people who live along Lake Chelan, their poor lake has been so completely demonized (or Devilized, if that were a word) by Mr. Mona that I am afraid they will never recover.
Wow,cannot believe this scenario was allowed at tier 1. Great idea completely ruined by ridiculously inappropriate monsters.
: Who thinks it is appropriate to surprise a first tier party with a save or die monster? Save or die sucks anyway, but with no warning puts this adventure on my worst waste of three hours ever list. And then the follow up monster is a one hit, first level killer? Too bad, the overall concept was great, destroyed by completely douchy monster choices.

Anyone interested in bringing the Live Theater to PaizoCon? I am putting out feelers out there for anyone willing to help support the costs of bringing our theatrical production to PaizoCon this year. Or at least some semblance of the show. The full show would cost several thousand to transport and house the actors and production crew, something a Public middle school does not have. If people are interested, I will spend this Spring fund-raising to make it happen. I believe that if all of us help a little, then it can happen. I may even have some roles for people who would be interested in performing. Thanks for being such an awesome community. Tom Beckett

See Absalom Live on Stage! Da Vinci Arts Middle School presents The Black Mask; an original adventure by Tom Beckett set in Golaria, the award winning Fantasy Roleplaying setting by Paizo Publishing. “On the anniversary of the Gray Master’s Ascension, no child is safe in the Puddles of Absalom.” In this story four young heroes from the Puddles set out in the dark of night to save a child kidnapped by dark Cultists to Norgorber. Time is short, because the Cultists plan on poisoning the child as a sacrifice to their evil God. The heroes must track the villains through the most dangerous alleys and sewers of Absalom, the City at the Center of the World. In the process, they learn the value of friends and the true meaning of family. Featuring appearances by the Green strumpet, The Proprietor and Grandmaster Torch, himself. This production follows on the heels of the very first live action play set in the role-playing world made popular by Dungeons and Dragons. The first production, “Burnt Offerings” opened at Da Vinci Arts Middle school two years ago to rave reviews. This time the storyline and characters are original making best use of the talents of the students at hand. This production continues the action with live swordplay, magical spells and hungry ghouls. The show opens Thursday, March 15th at 7:00 pm for three consecutive nights with a 2:00 pm matinee on Saturday, March 17th. Tickets are now on sale in the da Vinci office. At Paizocon, the word was that randomization was out. It seems sad that you are letting Wizkids and retailers to dictate how these are sold and not your loyal fan base. I agree with most people here that gambling with randomized packets may be novel for teenagers, but not for focused Dungeon Masters trying to enhance their game. It is just too expensive. I have never been one to be shy about spending money here at Paizo to support your endeavours, even when I didn't necessarily desire a particular product. Heck, I even bought 8 of the Wizkid Hero packs to share. I am sorry that I cannot help you with this one. Perhaps you can have a two-tiered approach. Sell random packets to retailers and simply open them up and sell them individually on the Paizo site. Then, perhaps, we can have the best of both worlds. Thank you guys for all you do.
Greetings Paizo community, My name is Tom Beckett. A year and a half ago I converted Paizo's first campaign adventure "Burnt Offerings" into a stage adaptation at my middle school, DaVinci Arts Middle School in Portland, OR. Work has begun in earnest for the Spring of 2012 production of "The Black Mask" an original play based in the Puddles district of Absalom. The story follows the adventures of a group of street orphans who are out to save their friend from Cultists of Norgorber. As part of generating the story, I wish to enlist the aid of GMs who have run campaigns in Absalom. My goal is to try and create a semi-consistent view of the setting of the play and include characters, locations, ideas, history, etc. Thus this thread. I have already purchased and read through the published material on Absalom, my hope is that people can present their most memorable moments from the City of Sails here and that somehow I can integrate them into the script. In a way, it is the possibility of you contributing to our production. So POST away. (PS, I am also considering the possibility of bringing the play to Bellevue for Paizocon 2012. Unfortunately, we are a public school and, therefore, low on funding. So anyone who is independently wealthy floating around out there who can help finance such a ridiculous idea, feel free to contact me.)
I put this on another thread. The Survivor Feat states:
Diehard is a prerequisite feat. Diehard states:
Am I missing something or does this trump the Survivor feat stabilization bonus? If so, is the only benefit of Survivor the cool ability to ignore one critical hit/sneak attack a day? And, in your opinion, is that truly worth three feats?

Well, I hate to give out my good ideas (I have so few of them), but here goes. I want to develop a Middle/High school version of the Pathfinder Society. I would set it in Absalom, titled "The Gangs of Abasalom." The basic structure of gameplay would be similar to Pathfinder Society, but the feeling slightly different. There would be competing "gangs" or schools vying for control over the youth culture of Absalom. I figure we can tie in many different gang factions that appeal to the age we are talking about and also tie into many books that are out on the market. One gang could be from the local Harry Potteresque mage school, another could be a bunch of Oliver/Thief Lord runaways and street orphans, another could be a gang of sparkly vampires (just kidding on the last one). You could set up scenarios based on teen literature and have cross-over curriculum with various Reading and Writing teachers. Different groups within the club could choose a gang and all the gangs could be competing with gangs from other schools all across the world. Or groups could be competing from the luxury of their own private games. This could lead to an youth online Pathfinder gaming phenom... Now I just need to figure out where I am going to find the time to do all of this, seeing as I have another Pathfinder play to write for production in Spring of 2012....

Hey Guys, First time poster here and I wanted to share some of my experiences as DM. We are playing every Monday, for now about 15 years and are based near Frankfurt in Germany.
They are about to enter Fort Rannick through the caves below the Fort and had their first encounter with Lucretia. And despite being 2 levels lower than the AP advises, they handled themselves pretty well.
I have done a bit Excel-work for my group. The sheet includes Xp per session, the progress they made during the session and where we made a cut for the evening and some stuff more. I will continue that sheet on a weekly basis.
If anyone has any suggestions for the sheet... ;) |
