Greetings Paizo Community, It has been a few years, but the Company of Warriors is back with live Pathfinder onstage in Portland, Oregon. First it was Burnt Offerings, we followed it up with The Black Mask of Absalom. Now is your chance to see the Night of Ashes come to life 5 feet in front of your face, or to see it filmed in all it's glory. Working with James, Crystal and the Paizo team, we are creating a theatrical presentation of events preceding the first part of Hell's Rebels. Live Steel, special effects, monsters all in a professional auditorium as Red as the eyes of Asmodeus. If you are interested in getting a copy of the video or, even better, want to come see our show, check our our Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/346863196/night-of-ashes?ref=video or on our company website: http://companyofwarriors.weebly.com And, once again, thank you to the greatest gaming community on the planet.
I can't seem to find event threads for: Saturday 08:00 AM – 01:00 PM
or Saturday 01:00 PM – 06:00 PM
It would be helpful to have a page where the events are still listed like they were before the Lottery was over and for the GMs from those events to start a thread so players can begin planning.

Anyone interested in bringing the Live Theater to PaizoCon? I am putting out feelers out there for anyone willing to help support the costs of bringing our theatrical production to PaizoCon this year. Or at least some semblance of the show. The full show would cost several thousand to transport and house the actors and production crew, something a Public middle school does not have. If people are interested, I will spend this Spring fund-raising to make it happen. I believe that if all of us help a little, then it can happen. I may even have some roles for people who would be interested in performing. Thanks for being such an awesome community. Tom Beckett
See Absalom Live on Stage! Da Vinci Arts Middle School presents The Black Mask; an original adventure by Tom Beckett set in Golaria, the award winning Fantasy Roleplaying setting by Paizo Publishing. “On the anniversary of the Gray Master’s Ascension, no child is safe in the Puddles of Absalom.” In this story four young heroes from the Puddles set out in the dark of night to save a child kidnapped by dark Cultists to Norgorber. Time is short, because the Cultists plan on poisoning the child as a sacrifice to their evil God. The heroes must track the villains through the most dangerous alleys and sewers of Absalom, the City at the Center of the World. In the process, they learn the value of friends and the true meaning of family. Featuring appearances by the Green strumpet, The Proprietor and Grandmaster Torch, himself. This production follows on the heels of the very first live action play set in the role-playing world made popular by Dungeons and Dragons. The first production, “Burnt Offerings” opened at Da Vinci Arts Middle school two years ago to rave reviews. This time the storyline and characters are original making best use of the talents of the students at hand. This production continues the action with live swordplay, magical spells and hungry ghouls. The show opens Thursday, March 15th at 7:00 pm for three consecutive nights with a 2:00 pm matinee on Saturday, March 17th. Tickets are now on sale in the da Vinci office. Tickets are $7 for general admission seating; $15 for preferred, reserved seating. Da Vinci Arts Middle School, 2508 NE Everett, Portland. Greetings Paizo community, My name is Tom Beckett. A year and a half ago I converted Paizo's first campaign adventure "Burnt Offerings" into a stage adaptation at my middle school, DaVinci Arts Middle School in Portland, OR. Work has begun in earnest for the Spring of 2012 production of "The Black Mask" an original play based in the Puddles district of Absalom. The story follows the adventures of a group of street orphans who are out to save their friend from Cultists of Norgorber. As part of generating the story, I wish to enlist the aid of GMs who have run campaigns in Absalom. My goal is to try and create a semi-consistent view of the setting of the play and include characters, locations, ideas, history, etc. Thus this thread. I have already purchased and read through the published material on Absalom, my hope is that people can present their most memorable moments from the City of Sails here and that somehow I can integrate them into the script. In a way, it is the possibility of you contributing to our production. So POST away. (PS, I am also considering the possibility of bringing the play to Bellevue for Paizocon 2012. Unfortunately, we are a public school and, therefore, low on funding. So anyone who is independently wealthy floating around out there who can help finance such a ridiculous idea, feel free to contact me.)
The Survivor Feat states:
Diehard is a prerequisite feat. Diehard states:
Am I missing something or does this trump the Survivor feat stabilization bonus? If so, is the only benefit of Survivor the cool ability to ignore one critical hit/sneak attack a day? And, in your opinion, is that truly worth three feats?
I have an idea/need for a very cool battle map that I wish to use in my campaign, but it would make a great general battle map for all. The idea is to create a Warehouse map. The front side would be the main floor of the warehouse, The back side would have the basement and... now here is the cool part, two of the edges of the backside would also have the 2nd floor balcony, situated in such a way that you could fold them over so they hover over the edges of the bottom floor. Unfortunately, I have neither the skill nor time to create such a map. I would love to offer my idea to GameMastery with some money to prime the pump of production...
Hope to see some of you there. My hope is that we can gather at the Lucky Labrador after show. This has been a privilege to produce. A lot of hard work and a tremendous amount of good will, and I am sure you will enjoy the results. This is definitely not just a middle school show. I will post some pics up on my website as soon as I can. The video will take awhile. Thank you all!
I just bought my tickets for PaizoCon and the Banquet. Just interested in: Who else will be coming?
I'll be bringing a copy of the Burnt Offerings Stage show video that some of you requested. Maybe a projector set up, too. Anyone else?
As I intend to start a PFS in Portland, I need some clarification. There is a lot of bandied terms that I cannot find clarification on anywhere. And As I have a headache from the drinking of too much ale last night, I have given up on reading through all of these posts. What in the Nine Hells is Tier 0, Tier 1, Tier 2, etc. The term bring tears to mine eye.
I take it I do not have to use the scenarios in order (with a few exceptions because of NPCs, etc.). So, what is the highest level or Tier pathfinders can achieve? Do all the players on a PFS mission need to be the same faction? Do they need to reveal their faction? Can you have a fraction of faction and develop the action to gain any traction? Ignore that last question, my head hurts. Finally, what is the process for creating sanctioned PFS events. For instance, can I work with a local gaming store to have sanctioned events? Can I do it from my home? Can I, in my teacher alter-persona, use an after school club?
Is Wizards of the Coast insane? Publishing a Compendium of its rules system less than a year before they implement an entirely new rules system. It's bad enough that they had to publish non-sense complicating rules system in 3.5. Now they are admitting that they screwed up the works AND CHARGING YOU FOR IT. Nimrods.
