Is the bear dead? If so, Ezaki will quickly thank Zelphari, and run to the cave to cast stabilize on anyone dying. If the bear is dead, but we're still in initiative, I've moved Ezaki as far as he can get with 2 move actions (Stand, Stride, Stride).

I think you're going to have to be more specific if you've noticed something about my character. I have no idea what you're talking about, and with the exception of preferring to roll for the ancestral meddling at the beginning of my next turn rather than the end of my previous turn, I believe I've played correctly. The predominant ancestor during my turn was warfare, and Ezaki made a Strike with his longspear. The next turn will be skills, and Ezaki will have to do something with a skill check. Do I have some part of that wrong? Am I missing something?

1. Ezaki's dominant "ancestors" are the war-like ones that will encourage him to Strike. 2. I need to revise Ezaki's Infernal Detonations boon as well as his weapon damage. Ezaki is level 1, not level 2. His ID damage should be 7, not 8. Additionally, he doesn't have martial weapon proficiency yet - his weapon should have been the longspear, not the guisarme. Longspear, Piercing: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

8 fire (roll above) and DC 15 Ezaki steps back. Meddling: 1d4 ⇒ 1 Infernal Detonation wrote: Infernal Detonations (reaction) Trigger A creature within 30 feet of you targets you or an ally with an attack; Effect The creature takes fire damage equal to 1d6+your level (basic Reflex save). The DC of the Reflex save is equal to your spell DC or your class DC, whichever is higher.

1. I shouldn't have an action left. Ancestral Touch ◆, Change Grip ◆, Strike ◆. 2. Does anyone mind if I roll at the beginning of my next round rather than the end of my previous round? I usually roll at the beginning for roleplay reasons - the "ancestors'" suggestions end up being disjointed because everything moves around. On the other hand, if the predominant ancestor is known, people can plan strategically. 3. Mean bear indeed, although rolling near-mininum damage on Ezaki feels like a play swipe.

Ezaki reaches out and touches the bear. Ancestral Touch, DC 15
This power attracts the attention of Belimarius's court. Meddling: 1d4 ⇒ 2 Whoa, whoa, what's going on here? Let's see some skills! Dance, boy! Ezaki tries to ignore them. Sassa is 65' of difficult terrain plus 10' normal terrain away, which is 140' movement away, and at Dying 3. It is unlikely anyone has the means of saving her at this distance - even a 30' range heal spell (2 actions) would require 90' of movement (3-4 actions) to get in range. That's 2 full turns. I just wanted to make sure this setup was intentional. Because I'm going to guess none of us will try to save Sassa if it's physically impossible.

If we have ten minutes before we spot the bodies, Ezaki would have offered to Treat Wounds on Zelphari. Treat Wounds:
Medicine, DC 15: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 --- When he sees the bodies, he blurts out, "Oh, no! YOLO!" and immediately casts stabilize on both.

Ezaki does his best seal and crawls out onto the ice. He'll bring a torch, his flint and steel, and his waterskin with him. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 He's an ice cream vendor, so he knows how to warm frozen things up gently. He lights the torch, and warms up the water so it's medium warm. Then, he gently pours out the water onto the ribbon, wiggling it to loosen it. Cooking Lore: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

If you want to switch, Ezaki can Detect Magic instead of Searching. Probably won't find too much in the snow but we'd have all our bases covered. Or he can also Scout because he's got a reach weapon and plenty of yolo. Nor sure how the GM rules it but sometimes the Scout needs to be up front.

Ezaki picks up a pole, runs towards the bank, plants the pointy end into the ground, and ... Athletics: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 1 = 12 ... plants the pole into a real slippery part of the riverbank. The pole slides forward and Ezaki falls on his face. "My bad." Ezaki backs up and gets another running start, this time, putting the planting the pole into a rockier part of the ground where he can get some traction. This time, he ... Athletics: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 6 + 1 = 22 ... sails through the air and lands on the other bank. "YOLO! Come on over, the weather's fine over here!"

"Some bloke told me that Balgird was chasing a linnorm and it escaped across a river. So the linnorm was like 'nyahhhh' and Balgird was like 'orlyyy'. But, like, Balgird knew if he swam across, he'd be so tired that the linnorm could just wreck him, so he took a sapling and vaulted across the river." Ezaki is pushing the sled out of a particularly nasty ditch when he hears a voice. Boy, why are you doing all the grunt work? Ezaki pauses. "Yes," he thinks to himself. "Why am I doing all the grunt work?" He looks at Brunwulf, sitting pretty in the cargo basket. "I don't deserve to be muddy. I'm too good to be muddy." Do you have some wine? Throw it in Brunwulf's face. Ezaki digs through his belongings and finds a wineskin. Uncorking it, he starts to sneak towards Brunwulf, but just at that moment, Zelphari steps in and begins pushing. Instantly forgetting his one-sided feud with Brunwulf, Ezaki returns with heroic resolve and pushes! Athletics, Hero Point: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 Hopefully Zelphari is a better pusher than Ezaki.

Make an Impression, Diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 "Sorry bro ... Just wanted to make sure you got all the info you needed." --- Ezaki can cast guidance on people as they go. I don't think it will work for an extended action like Sneak but it might be okay for Seek. Ezaki also has Soothing Words, but we may need a GM ruling to see if it's applicable. Ezaki has Perception +3 and Stealth +2 so he should go later rather than sooner.

"Aw man, you didn't say this was going to be on the exam ..." Ezaki tries to think back to what the official said. The kid's making us look bad. Should we help him? Ezaki, for the first time in his life, welcomes the voices in his head. Balgird Bluetongue was searching for a linnorm and lived off the land. A dog sled pulls up and a young hitchhiker jumps off. "YOLO!" he shouts, as he fist-bumps the driver and rushes inside. Ezaki has had a relatively short trip here from his native Edasseril. He's quite used to the cold - in fact, his profession, an ice cream maker/server, relies on people being willing to eat ice cream in sub-zero temperatures. His ice cream serving pole, with a flattened knob on one end for scooping and serving, has been awkwardly fitted with a blade on the other end to form a makeshift longspear. It was the only way for Ezaki to leave the oppressive realm of Belimarius - sign up for a reality show, and have the producers feed him with silly suggestions for their amusement and entertainment. There's no cheating in Edasseril, or at least, there's very little. Belimarius's iron-fisted guards execute cheaters on the spot, so people are strongly deterred from attempting anything that even resembles cheating. Also, why cheat? YOLO! Ezaki bursts into the Lodge, fist bumping everyone - save Brunwulf, whom he chest bumps.
