Upon receiving the warning from Viduk that Drummer is under attack, Erix quietly informs the Sentinels to be extra alert, just in case. He then blinks away, and arrives on the roof. Dimension Leap. Range is 50ft, so hopefully that's enough to get me there in one use. "Brennus, Drummer is apparently under attack as we speak. However, I don't think we should leave Corlina **and** Volin without one of us here. Would you like to remain here, or back up Viduk? Either way, inform the others asap."
Male Human Harbinger 5
Ooc Confusion, DM only: Okay, I'm confused. Where are the Deneith Sentinels we hired?? I thought the plan was to convince Volin to stay at the Blue Bird Inn, thus the Sentinels should also be able to help protect Drummer, who is in the basement. Even if we didn't move Volin, you didn't mention the Sentinels being at his penthouse.

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 Stealth Erix is able to easily keep pace with Corlina, blending into the shadows as he follows her. She seems to be going back to Volin's place once more. As last time, he reaches out with his inner darkness, claiming her. Importantly, his speed is now 50ft(I'm dumb, and didn't realize the Winds of War feat granted a +5ft bonus, and then an additional +5ft for every victim claimed. This doesn't include the extra speed increases from Rollibard's Mobility Suit, which I haven't activated yet. He won't prevent her from going up to the penthouse, but will race up the stairs ahead of her, and hide in the alcove again. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 Oh. So I guess I'm channeling my IRL luck into the Paizo dice bot tonight, LOL 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24 Craft(Mechanical) to now activate the Mobility Suit. This includes the +5 from being taught how to use it. Obviously, this all assumes she does indeed make her way up to the penthouse. If she changes direction, I will too Dark Claim: Dark Claim (Su): Starting at 1st level, a harbinger gains the ability to reach out with her sorcerous malice, marking foes as her own. As a swift action, the harbinger may Claim an opponent that she can see (including with special senses such as blindsense or tremorsense) within close range (25 feet + 5 feet per 2 harbinger levels) for a number of rounds equal to 1/2 her class level (minimum 1 round). A harbinger can have a maximum number of creatures Claimed equal to her harbinger initiation modifier (minimum 1), and may not Claim a creature she has already Claimed until or unless the Claim expires. Claimed creatures using the Withdraw action to leave a square threatened by the harbinger provoke attacks of opportunity from her. In addition, the harbinger automatically knows the position of creatures she has Claimed. Any opponent the harbinger cannot see still has total concealment (50% miss chance) against her, and the harbinger still suffers the normal miss chance when attacking creatures that have concealment. The harbinger is still denied her Dexterity bonus to her AC against attacks from Claimed creatures she cannot see.

Word, awesome. I went over the list of maneuvers last night for Shattered Mirror(the discipline Craft is linked to), and none of them require a specific craft to use. The normal choices are: Craft (glassmaking), Craft (painting), Craft (sculpture), and Craft (sketching). So maybe I'll split the ranks tween mechanical and sketching or painting. Not sure however. Hey Rollibard, can you take 10 on the activation check?

Erix arrives a little late to the group's meet up, but still manages to be there for most of the conversation. "Sorry for being late, I was reaching out to my contacts in some of the other Dragonmarked Houses. House Sivis could provide some aid in our communication issues, but we would have to do our best to keep them safe. Which, might put the people we're attempting to protect in danger. House Tharashk could use magicks to possibly hunt down our murderer, but they would require having seem them or have something that belonged to them. Or they could assist us in the mundane tracking, which is probably something we should hire them for, should we be unable to stop another murder, or at least fail in apprehending the killer. Finally, House Deneith will provide up to four Marshals to aid in protection. " He pauses, considering all their options, and those they need to protect. "I think our best option is to hire the Deneith Marshals to protect Volin. He's the wealthiest member of the Circus, and therefore the most likely to be able to afford such guards. We should bring him in on this plan, so he doesn't balk at the sudden appearance of bodyguards. It might also make sense to try and convince him to sequester himself here, at the Blue Bird. Not only is this a public space, and therefore much harder to commit murder in, but it's where Drummer resides(works? ooc unsure which, but Erix should know in game). Meaning we might not even need to provide additional security for him. Or, if we do, not as much as the others."
Male Human Harbinger 5
Well, Roctar and Corlina live together. Drummer I believe is in the basement of the Inn we're currently at, and Volin was where the last murder took place.(I **think** this is all accurate, lol). I feel like Gauntlet should probably guard his fellow warforged, and could probably do so on his own. Brennus would be best suited to going to Volin's, who had the penthouse apartment, yes? Definitely the 'high up' location for our bird friend. Beyond that, idk who should go where, and all of this might change depending on what Shadow tells me about my attempts to enlist other Houses' help.
Male Human Harbinger 5
Apparently, you can't roll dice in PMs, lol. Gonna make my rolls here, per the okay from Shadow: 1d20 + 9 + 1d6 ⇒ (14) + 9 + (6) = 29 Sivis + Hero point. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 Tharashk 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 Deneith I'm only gonna spend the one hero point, as I think the other two rolls are good enough on their own. Shadow, would I get any bonuses due to being a Dragonmarked member?
Male Human Harbinger 5
Hmm, While I don't think my Favored in House feat itself could be of much help here, I am still a Dragonmarked member of a House. Could perhaps reach out to House Sivis and House Tharashk to see if they can lend a hand with our communication and tracking needs, respectfully? Also maybe try to enlist House Deneith for a bodyguard or two?

Noting both that there's nobody invisible, but that the kill was incredibly recent, Erix opts to switch into a more combat focused stance, just in case. Swift action, switching to Riven Hourglass Stance. Once the others join, he'll inform them of the victim's identity. "Another member of the Peace Circus. It might be a good idea to warn both the Watch and the other members that there's now likely a serial killer on the lose. And we should do so as soon as possible." 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 Perception, looking for any clues that might ID the killer.
Male Human Harbinger 5
Erix swears under his breath when Brennus flies down to tell him there's been another murder. "I'll be right there." And with that, the scion of House Orien disappears, and reappears inside the apartment. Dimension Door through the open window. He then scans the apartment himself, looking to see if he can find anything hidden from the mundane eye. Can I take 20 on my Perception? If so, that's a 26. If not, I'll take 10 for a total of 16. Also, as a reminder, I have See Invisibility active due to my current Stance, Formless Dance.
Male Human Harbinger 5
Two important questions before I post my actions: I have the ability to move up my speed(40ft) as a swift action once/encounter. However this isn't exactly an encounter, so unsure if I would be limited in it's use or not. Even if I am, a run action for me is 160+40 from Grim News(the aforementioned Swift action ability) gives me a movement of 200ft in a round, then 160 after(assuming I can only use Grim News once). Is that enough to beat Corlina down the stairs, or must I teleport? Since Dimension Door is 1/day(and Leap is twice), if I did, I can't use it again(just in case). Does Brennus spot Erix when he looks down for his 'flock' ? That'll obviously be an important factor in what I decide to do. As well as if the others have arrived yet or not.
Male Human Harbinger 5
She definitely isn't faster than me, even via a lift. I'll take my chances. Hearing that Corlina is about to leave, Erix ducks down the other hallway, though not too far that he can't still hear within the apartment, just in case. Or at least, that my hope. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 Perception
Male Human Harbinger 5
Would there be a tactical advantage to getting up onto the roof? I can probably get up there via some of my teleportation effects, just unsure if it would be beneficial or not. At least, ooc. In game, Erix should probably be a bit more knowledgeable about that sorta thing, lol.
Male Human Harbinger 5
As soon as Corlina leaves her apartment in disguise, Erix reaches out and Claims her. No save, and it only for 2 rounds, but he'll follow her at a safe distance. He'll keep her Claimed the whole time he's following her. He's got a movement of 40ft, so should be able to easily keep pace. Dark Claim:

"Erix d'Orein, Scion and Dragonmarked member of House Orien. I'm here with my partner on official Watch business investigating the murder of Svans, a former member of the performance troupe you all used to be a part of." The young man replies, adding a bit more authority to his voice. "Now, would you kindly open the door and let us in, so we can discuss things civilly?"
Male Human Harbinger 5
Well then, since it's just a silly argument, please ignore the above, lol. I wasn't sure how long it would take ya to reply, so wanted to post my potential combat actions just in case. Upon arriving at the designated apartment, Erix pauses as he hears the married couple's spat. He waits a few moments till it dies down, then knocks loudly on the door. "Excuse us, but we're looking to speak with Corlina and Roctar. We were told they lived here." He says in his 'official' sounding voice.
Male Human Harbinger 5
The following assumes the yelling is aggressive/combative. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 Perception to figure that out Without even breaking stride, Erix blinks midstep as he hears the shouting, and appears inside the apartment. He then uses the dark energies swirling in his soul to mark any hostiles within. Standard action, Dimension Leap. Swift action, Claiming one potential foe.
Male Human Harbinger 5
"If the dino incident happened prior to the end of the Last War, then his murder is likely not related. That's an awful long time to hold a grudge, and I'm sure there's been plenty of other opportunities for revenge." Erix muses after Borgo explains what lead to the demise of the Peace Circus.
Male Human Harbinger 5
"Well, that's because we're not official members of the watch. We're assisting them with the investigation of the murder of Svans, who we're told used to be a member of the Peace Circus. We're hoping you might be able to provide us some insight into who might have killed him or why." The house Orien scion explains to the chef. Do I need a new diplomacy roll?

Mr Marked, Erix has the Favored in House feat, which states: Benefit: When you choose this feat, choose one organization that you qualify to belong to, as per the Prestige Awards rules. For churches, cults and other religious factions, this means that you must be a follower that particular faith. For dragonmarked houses, this means you must be of the appropriate race for that dragonmarked house and not part of another dragonmarked house. For all other organizations, this means you must be a promising applicant for that organization (as per GM's discretion). You gain a one-time bonus of 5 TPA and 5 CPA within that organization, as per the faction rules. Also, any expenditure of 2 or more CPA within that organization is reduced by 1, to a minimum of 1 CPA. Are we using the Prestige Awards? as I believe I'm the only member of a Dragonmarked House in the group? If we aren't what benefit does my feat grant instead?
