Been a long time since I've done any PbP but I love Starfinder and I've not been able to play locally. Currently thinking of a Strix xenoarchaeologist operative.
Hi all, sorry for the silence, life had been hectic lately. I'm afraid I'm going to have to bow out of the game. Thanks for the fun ride so far Rimrock.
Hi all, sorry for the silence, life had been hectic lately. I'm afraid I'm going to have to bow out of the game. Thanks for the fun ride so far Zoom.
The dungeon is closed?! man I haven't been out there in a while. I know that Imperial Hobbies had some of the Pathfinder products out there last time I was there.
I'll toss my name into the hat too Mal. :)
No worries on my side. I'm still here and reading so a little break in posting for me doesn't hurt.
I'd love to play in this one.
Thanks for the game Chris. I appreciate a DM who closes a game having seen so many dwindle off when no one posts any more. Good luck with everything.
Sorry I havent been able to catch up yet, should be able to read the pages and pages of posts since I went on vacation sometime tomorrow.
ditto here, though my kid has pneumonia not teething.
Uzes decides to try his hand back at the golem table to see if he can buy his way down a few levels of hell. If Desna was by his side as she appeared to be up till now, he was sure to win.
golem (1d20+7=25, 1d20+2=15)
Indeed luck is with him. wow! I don't think that IC has treated me this nice in a long time.
Those games sound really fun, can't wait to try a few out.
With the channel divinity stuff and extra turning, Devrin rocks at healing. I'd personally like to move up the advancement rate and love the fact its incorporated in the game system itself. I wonder if we'll advance beyond the pace of the adventure though? Given that it was written for 3.5, we're a lot farther beyond 1000xp though so perhaps not. And never say we'll never get there, this is a great group the best I've found here on these boards. I've been playing pbp for over 6 years now and having seen a few characters get to the mid levels (8-10) I know it is possible with a dedicated group.
I think it better to stick Sorceror. Its not much of a bang at 2nd or 3rd but diluting your caster levels hurts a lot in the long run. I've got a long running 3.5 wizard/fighter/eldritch knight and those two lost levels really hurt his casting ability.
Uzès has not been in Riddleport for more than a few weeks, one might think that this morning was going to be different, but it wasn't. The tiny closet-like room he rented down by the Wharf above a cheap grog-house was only a cut above sleeping in some alley over in Rotgut. Waking, the half-orc offered his prayers to Desna for a successful day but only half-heartedly. He moved about his morning tasks in what had become a monotonous routine already. Once cleaned up at least a little bit he headed out the back stairs to the street below. A quick bite from a stall selling something it was best not to dwell on and Uzès wandered down to the docks. It'd be best to make a little coin that morning if he was going to take the devil seriously.
Alrighty I think Uzès is complete. I've written a full background and the like and he's ready to gamble away what little he has left.
working on my character's background. with his connection being Hunting for Fiends, I'm thinking something has lead him to the tourney. With a background in gambling (odd for a monk but I'm working it into his cover story back in Nidal) he has joined.
Woh thats too much MAD for me. I'll work on something a bit different. Perhaps a chelaxian sorceror from Nidal with a similar background.
Gah boards ate my post.
Looking at a half-orc monk/sorceror from Nidal. He is a follower of Desna, goddess of dreams, who has fled his homeland after his cover was blown. The Zon-Kuthon intelligencia are looking for him so he fled far to the north to Riddleport to try and disappear.
Hi all, introductions all around eh? I'm 32, living in Vancouver, BC and working as a Business Systems Manager. I've got a wife and one son who's a precocious 4 and loves everything dragon! I've been playing pbp for about 6 years now, mostly over at EnWorld. I came over here as the Pathfinder games are a little rarer over there. Been playing D&D for a while now, what 19 years I guess, wow.
Character wise I'm trying to gage what everyone is working up. Had originally though to do something Cyphermage-ish but that has been covered, so I'll have a look through the companion and the setting guide and let you know.
Excellent! I'll start working on a character concept.
Thanks for putting me down as an Alt. I keep an eye out on this section of the boards so let me know if you need me in the future. Good luck with the game :)
I've been watching for a SD game to open. Let me know if you are still looking (though it seems that there are a lot of people already ahead of me in the queue:)).
Any room left? Read through the posts. Count me as an interested alt if you need me.
I forget, are we using the Fast or Medium advancement rate? If its fast I think we all just leveled.
I see rules on Con games, home games, and store games, but I have yet to see any information on PBP games. Are they allowed as PFS games? I'd love to see the Play by post section of these boards grow with some PFS member support.
Interesting stuff, I'm looking for a basis of my 4e game and might just have to keep an eye on SD.
Indeed, good luck all. *crosses fingers*
I'm looking forward to an SD game, count me in too. Here's hoping my number comes up :)
Eager to move on, Sun Fei jumps into action intending to destroy the distracting spider quickly.
init 14, atk 15, dmg 10
Its coming. We're into the new place but we dont move our stuff for another couple of weeks. Just doing some renos now before all our furniture is in place.
Devrin joins the others at the Rusty Dragon. Seeing Korpi indulging a bit too much he'll keep an eye on the little goblin.
Yes it has been a great group to play with. Sorry I've been a bit distracted. It's been a busy spring for me and its only going to pick up from here when we look to move at the end of June.
Sun Fei will be from South Shore, her mother supplying the Tian Xia teas to the Jade Circle. Will join the IC thread in a few minutes.
I've got Sun Fei's marked at the top of her background stuff. I've highlighted it to make it easier to find. Also finished out the languages.
I've got some ideas about a former drug addict half-Tian Xia who found solace by learning the secrets of his homelands blade mastery to escape from the downward spiral his life had taken. I'll flesh it out a lot better tomorrow.
I'll stick with the races from Golarion because it'll help integrate with the story better, but for classes I'd like to try out either a Warblade or a Dragonfire Adept. Are either of those acceptable?
I'd love to get in on a CotCT game. I'll have to review my options to see what kind of character I want to make. I've tried a number of 3.5 options but there are still a few that I want to try out. Is the Korvosa book open? I've not read it, but mostly because I've been wanting to get into a game and am not sure if it contains too many spoilers.
Just remembered to add City Born bonus feat on there. Should be all finished now.
Devrin is all ready to go too. I've left his background a little open for him to meet as many of the other PCs as possible. Being a wanderer and someone who likes to make friends it is quite easy to see him as some of the glue that holds such a deranged party together. I have not added anything negative to his background or anything that ties him too closely to family/friends yet. Ie not many DM hooks. But Chris, if this is going to stick to the adventure path, those connections are not really necessary. If you want more, I can come up with some stuff that can be used to build sub-plots on.
I have to add(write) Devrin's character and background, but he is going to be a gregarious wandering explorer who likes making friends with all sorts of people. He might be a good connection for those weirder characters from beyond the fringes of society (so everyone but the paladin).
Timespike wrote: *crosses his fingers, hoping he's not the one tossed out on his ear* Has fingers crossed too. I've been trying to get into a game on these boards for a few weeks now. I have lots of experience over on the ENworld boards, but finding a game here can be tough.
Sorry meant item creation craft rules which eliminate the XP requirements.
I'm thinking cleric. Looking through the Alpha 2 doc now to decide, but I'm liking the domain powers. I'd like to see how the craft rules work too because they are changed somewhat from the original ones and think they could use some playtesting.
Its either that or a barbarian... hmm. Nah will stick to Cleric. I'll keep looking it over and should have a prelim character up later today.
I'd love to get into a game around here too, if there is still space.
Congrats to those who are in, I hope to see you all on these boards as I hang around and get more used to the place.
I'd like to throw my hat into the ring as well. I've not played PbP on these boards yet, but I've been playing over at EnWorld for close to 6 years now. Not sure what I'd play yet, but keen on starting in a CoCT game. I've got the Player's guide and the Guide to Korvosa too, though I've not read them yet.

Will we be able to get the Maps of Mystery super map from 150 when it comes out?
Hi Customer Service team,
I sent an email regarding 358 and 357, and the reply seems to have only been regarding 358. Do I need to send a seperate email regarding 357 (now 4 months late)?
Thanks,
Chris
