Awww... rejected...

Who wants to play first level druids anyway...?

Having the Ocean domain stems from his visions, more strongly with "The Fisher King" depiction of Habbakuk. The previous owner of his medallion having been of this particular domain, and having been born in a coastal city, this connection stems not from his habits, but of his origins. His habits, being particularly fresh, have yet to reach a state that he can even relate strongly of what Habbakuk demands of him; though he seeks such knowledge.

He comes to the desert, to Pashin, expecting his ability to conjure water and make meals of berries to be of aid, or at least of value. He does not seek wealth, but seeks a way for him to apply these new talents gainfully. He is folly in not seeking the guidance of other priests, but he is not ignorant, going in search of answers as to how to best be exactly what he believes himself to be.

Presenting Enistus, spellcaster focus alternate. This build features no animal companion, but you could allow him to have a pet wolf to preserve the potential roleplay value, or merely ask that I keep Mortal instead of taking the Ocean domain.

\o/ (I mean, sorry to hear that.)

Still watching. And good to join.

Also making a ranged caster alternate build that will require a minimal change of back-story.

Overhaul on Enistus; the change in deity demands it. He would make a good backup as well- pretty easy to work him in as a druid, that is, if he doesn't make the initial cast. In any case, I like this change, and simply enjoyed (re)making him. Several changes to statblock, but nothing role-changing, he's still a melee skirmisher/support caster.

Enistus, faithful of Habbakuk:
This is not the life I wanted.

I decided this when forced to lay low a lone hobgoblin, the moments of realization remaining clear to me. For me, there is no desire to wish for another fate, because I have learned what it means to persevere. There's little more needed than this. Though I've always been a persistent man, it was only in ignorance. Only because there was nothing else for me. It should have been a restless, lonely life. But this is better, allying magic and nature. Perhaps not as enjoyable, but certainly better than it was.

My place was at the docks of Ak-Khurman, not but a common worker a year ago. Perhaps 'common' is misleading- I am a powerful man, much more so now than then. There are few weapons that I've devoted to learning, and as few books that I have seen. My new strength... the power of faith... it is invigorating. All of it came at first from a Medallion of Faith, as it is called, though it surely was never meant to find itself in my hands. But it did. I don't remember if I bought it years before, had it handed to me from my mother, or simply found it as a child. First came dreams, of a city in shallow water, lands rarely visited by nomads, and then myself wielding powerful magic. Like a man in teen years, I felt compelled to explore the power of faith. When a petty worker tried to remove the medallion from my chest and caused trouble, I left Ak-Khurman. I knew of Habbakuk from the tales of sailors. It was time to learn more of the god who would be my benefactor.

The elven refugees who spoke common had much more to say of Habbakuk. Some found it odd that I bore such a medallion and had so little to say of the faith, some even sought to relieve me of it in their own ways. I believed that Habbakuk was trying to speak to me, though doubt lingered. Like many wild sorcerers or mystics, the land became my classroom. For the first time, the world spoke, making a willing student out of me. Eventually, a wolf wounded by an arrow lay in my path, doomed to a premature death by the hands of humans. It was in this moment that I truly felt Habbakuk take notice in me. Spontaneously, driven by a desire to simply let live, I treated the wolf, and it did not retaliate. It was for this meeting that he came to be called Mortal. My first true companion, the one who taught me true loyalty. And with those teachings, so too came the understanding of druidic magic.

What amazing abilities magic gives! Tumbling mists, boosts of speed, arcane-like fire, and more. Much was used in the learning, little in service, but I knew that Habbakuk's teachings were somehow revealing themselves to me. It was then that I encountered that lone hobgoblin. It seemed surprised, but didn't hesitate in attacking. Mortal ultimately allowed me to survive, and reminded me of friends in Ak-Khurman. Then I realized it. These gifts weren't for me to play with. I had to return to give my part to the world I am part of. I understand why, but...

This is not the life I wanted.

I've got a plan on an expanded personality and backstory, but now I've got a game to GM. Enistus will be a skirmish melee combatant.

Ah. I was under the (mis)impression that druids were more like sorcerers in Dragonlance, unlike clerics. With this in mind, I'll change backstory and personality to accommodate - which will be simple enough. God of persistence will work well. I'll have a story of personal revelation more significant than "boy meets wolf" that gives significance to being a follower of Habbakuk. I would prefer to keep the wolf and try to keep him as a lifelong companion, would this conflict?

As for the medallion of faith, are we talking the sort that grants special power - the one for Lunitanri allowed the casting of Light and Darkness? I was counting it as a normal holy symbol, rather than the typical holly and mistletoe that Pathfinder druids usually get, or one of the following.

Medallion of Faith:
Powers
The various types of Medallions of Faith each grant specific abilities based upon the god they are devoted to. The special power can only be used once per day, and is restricted to ordained clergy only- Token Medallions do not grant the special ability. These powers are detailed below in the entry for each god.

If an un-ordained priest or a citizen worshipper uses more powerful types of medallions than they are entitled to, that artifact will only function as though it were a Token Medallion of Faith. Conversely, if a high-ranking clergy member uses a Medallion that is not typically used by one of their station, the Medallion acts as though it were of the appropriate type. In addition, they all have the capabilities listed below, some of which are reversible as found in the Players Handbook. There are following restrictions on the powers' usage:

Token of Faith: one of minor protection (from evil/good), remove fear, or bless each day.

Lesser Medallions: combine and two of protection from evil/good, remove fear, or bless each day.

Habbakuk's Medallion of Faith:
The worshippers of the Fisher King where an image of a phoenix, crafted of Lapis Lazuli and or turquoise, set into a frame of silver. The phoenix's wings are spread and its claws extended, an image of majesty and fierce protectiveness.

The wielders of this symbol are able to cast the spell Courage once per day. It is for this reason that priests of Habbakuk are so valued by military commanders.

Also, way to break the 'no minotaurs and elves in same group'. Not being sarcastic, I think that's great. Take that, racism!

I see you have plenty of applicants, but this has been on my mind since you started the recruitment. More choices is good, isn't it?

Presenting Enistus, a human druid, devoted to Lunitari, the Red Moon, with the Holy order of the Stars. Taking the concerns of the Veiled Maiden, would see magic used in the name of balance, freedom, and curiosity. Wearing a frazzled green cloak over his hide armor, prominently displaying the holy symbol worn as a necklace, his unkempt appearance with a full beard and wild hair belies his eloquence. With his great strength, he looks to be a cross between a wizard and a brute wild elf.

It was not long ago that he discovered his magical talents, and like many sorcerers who possess a more naturalistic magic, Enistus has had to learn on his own. This was a surprise to him as much as anyone, as he believed his lot was as a simple laborer, making use of his great strength. It was the appearance of a true friend that convinced him otherwise. A wolf bound itself to him through some unknown power, giving great assurance of his inner strength. It was then on that he decided to take to the wilds in order to discover this power, spending years in relative isolation. Though he bears a kinship with humans, he harbors a strong suspicion toward them as he fears they may think him a rogue sorcerer. It would not be the first time he had to deal with such. Regardless, Enistus does not hide his interest in magic, and wishes to prove himself now.

Only recently has he felt the strength within him become strong enough for challenges greater than self discovery. In this troubled time, he emerges from relative isolation after years of training to lend his aid. He arrives at the coastal city Ak-Khurman with little more than three sub-iron coins and the holy symbol of Lunitari: a triple-divided moon representing light, dark, and the red moon. Inwardly, he's not sure about his devotion to the recently-returned goddess, but hopes that coming events will justify his choice.

I'm interested in any suggestions to incorporate Enistus more thoroughly into the game.

Starting wealth x 10: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4 = 40 gold.

Sorry it took me so long to post. I'll go ahead and claim the win now.
