Yeah, slide casting is nice... and probably a must for the melee version. I like the extra movement... making for much more dynamic combat.

I agree with Alexand, definitely want a good heavy damage weapon (that can be one-handed).

Toss to the X: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Tosses the other in front of him

I figured we dim-lighters wouldn't be able to see in there, so I was all worried about torches...

And moves forward...

Or just add a second Wyrm... let Alexand enjoy the crit! We're not in PFS so, totally free to do whatever...

If we go with a second Wrym, Ellanhar is mostly retreating in any case... will strike at something in reach, but is getting somewhere "safe"

Blood gushing from his leg, frost bits in his hair and coating his flesh, Ellanhar strikes out with his flaming whip...

Whip Attack 1, - Clumsy: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 7 - 1 = 21
Non Lethal Slashing: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Produce Flame: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Fire damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

He sticks again with his whip as the flames dissipate

Whip Attack 2, - Clumsy: 1d20 + 7 - 5 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 7 - 5 - 1 = 19
Non Lethal Slashing: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Stumbling back, his hand pressed to his thigh, blood running out, he retreats

So... cast for two actions, then strike for a 3rd ... You need to land the strike to earn the spell, compared to ... not much better, if at all, than cast a spell, then separately attack, the spell now doesn't need to land.

Can hold it one round, then the next gain a strike + spell strike... I guess the synthesis is where you gain. It's much about that.

Ellenhar, having been slow in the prior posting, needs to, and does, pull his whip out.

2nd - 3rd Action

Uttering arcane incantations Ellanhar waves his hand past the whip and it bursts into flame Produce Flame...

As he twirls the whip it seems to carry him forward, sparks and fire trailing him as he approaches the Wrym! Slide casting

Ready to attack, he bellows,

draconic:
"Alright then! We're taking the fish!"

Then, hollering back, "Kragen! I told him we're taking the fish!"

Please correct me as necessary!

Ellanhar's eyes widen at Alexand's intimidating move.

Gesturing at Zvarbelle, he also speaks in Draconic.

Draconic:

"The dwarf here is admiring your fish. But want's to reassure you that we are not here to steal it... we're happy to talk. My elven friend though is correct... the villagers are not happy about their lost catch, and worse, broken equipment. We know you need to eat, but there must be some way to coexist peacefully... "

Ellanhar tosses a wayfinder to the side, laughs, and yells, "Ha ha... to hell with cooperation!" and runs ahead to kill the wrym and earn all the loot... on his own.

I think as a whip magus I really want to boost strength/not dex... for the trip. And since everyone really ends up with the same AC anyway, no reason to boost dex except for the crappy reflex save.

The magus walks along with the group scanning and taking in the sites, Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

(note:prior to leaving I'll be picking up some standard cold weather garb... which would likely have already been purchased to be in this locale.)

Wanted slide casting for some movement action (with nimble for 35 feet)... and wanted a reach weapon... so put me with whip.

Cantrips- Telekinetic Projectile, Produce Flame, Tangle Foot, Chill Touch and Mage Hand
