Elery gives Tessa a pitying look, now pretty clear that the woman is more than a few straws short of a haystack did those glassware throwing goblins look like glassworks employees? Did the murdered workers corpses not catch her attention?

"No this Mumbler has a Glassworks full of goblins, he clearly knew about them, I am willing to bet my bottom that Sheriff Hemlock would be for hanging him. Like as not he was working with his father to bring the creatures in to attack the festival, otherwise him sending Ameiko that letter, and being fine with goblins just does not add up."

Elery blinks at the cat in confusion, "Ugh? I think you are probably right Cavenn... Goblins would have, like, eaten a cat right? So let's just check the rooms up here in order first."

Giving the cat a suspicious glance she casts detect magic and scans it, just in case.

"What protecting did you do?" Elery asks tartly, opening the door and peering in a touch frantically.

"Ameiko can handle herself, but from that Letter it is clear her father at least has betrayed her. Alone against family members, betrayal, and a horde of goblins, few could stand up to that!"

Moved to the door, and will descend stairs if nothing prevents it.

Anxious Elery hurries forward towards the doorway the goblin was making for, "I appreciate your sentiment Cavenn, and I will gladly help - after. For the moment Ameiko, and possibly others, maybe her brother to, might need our help and be alive to appreciate it Deadeye see it so! Please search later help now!"

She flings the door open and looking pained, "Please let's all go Ameiko was kind enough to put us all up, and though I would not exactly call her a friend she is certainly someone I admire. We need to hurry!"

"Don't let it get away it might be going to hurt Ameiko!" She calls anxiety ringing in her voice, she makes to move but winces in pain.

"Mumbling heck!"

Grasping her holy symbol Elery chants a prayer to Erastil calling forth a warm glowing light which laps gently at her injuries erasing them completely. Then she picks up her spear and steps towards the goblin.

"Erastil allowed me to turn into a giant and will help me heal myself in a second, which is a damn sight more than some. Keep criticizing my god and we are going to fall out. Call me a fool all you like, but I haven't criticized your imaginary friend," Elery says through gritted teeth. It isn't Erastil's fault if I use his gifts poorly.

"Bows and bushes, you little green mumblers!" Elery hisses, recoiling from the searing pain, and regretting her boldness - a little.

Dwindling down she steps back behind the weaker goblin 5ft step drops her spear and pulls her quarterstaff free bringing it slamming down upon the goblins head with a resounding crack!

"Getting my bottom handed to me, help please!"

No problem. I think thats the only bit of shtick Elery has, she gets 3 aoos a round and can enlarge as a swift action, and can take aoos while flatfooted.

Should I post a reminder in my classes line? Its going to come up in pretty much every combat so I don't really want to post it every time.

"Remind me not to fall out with you Harness!" Elery says as she rushes over the fallen goblin and barges past one of the creatures before exploding upwards covered in a mass of vine that vanish revealing her new towering ten foot height.

She levels her now massive spear and skewers the furthest goblin, before releasing one hand from the spear ready to lash out with her gauntlet if given the opportunity.

Targeting the last yellow dot gobbo on the table. Reach now 10ft. With gauntlet.

Everyone is up, since we do block init. It goes in order of posting I am waiting on someone killing the gobbo in front since I have a reach weapon.

Block initiative basically, I believe, so if you are in the same group between monsters you can go anytime. So in this case its basically goblins the all of us acting in order of posting.

Elery's trained combat reflexes allow her the opportunity to strike at the goblin's opening with her longer reach as it approaches her even unready as she is. But her thrust is wild an ineffectual missing the nimble target.

Taking a step back she sets her feet and impales the goblin shouting, "Goblins! About ten of them!"

Ignoring Eydor Elery hurries forward. This is either a trap for Ameiko, in which case she is in imminent danger and every second could count, or just what the glassworks is like at this time of day, I doubt it is meant as a trap for us... Either way I would rather find out swiftly and it is plain we are not sneaking up on anyone."

Elery is probably one of the slowest in the group with her medium armor, it should not be an issue too keep up. She is both too worried and too doubtful about the success of stealth after door knocking, etc., to hold back.

Worried Elery breaks into a jog heading towards the sounds, something doesn't feel right.

Elery is torn between exasperation at Tessa's actions, and relief that stealth is no longer required,

Elery hangs back some ten feet behind Cavenn who seems to know what he is doing, trying her damndest to prevent her bulky scale armor from clanking and to her own surprise doing pretty well. She strains her ears, but hears only her own pounding heartbeat.

Elery's freckled cheeks color again, and she offers an apologetic smile, "Oh sorry, names are usually things people want known. And if they give themselves a name they normally never stop telling you about it. At any rate if the council are recommending you it should be fine and all, mysterious ominous nicknames aside."

"You sure he isn't just Erastil by another name? Gods have lots of different names in different places, sometimes I think; Though I don't know what a mana storm is, sounds mighty similar. How does he feel about bows? In any case his values seem almost identical, so hopefully that means we ought to rub along well." Elery says, cheerfully before turning to Cavenn.

"Um, I can't help ask why "the Black?" Its a bit villainous sounding..."

Elery silently moves over and gives her Aunt a hug, "I was a silly wilful girl, and maybe I still am; but if I don't take a few risks I believe are worthwhile I will never have a chance to make up for that. I want to make you and everyone proud. I'll even ear the smelly armor Grandpa sent me - promise."

Walking back to the group, cheeks flushed bright crimson at airing family business out in public she coughs and says, "Welcome. Tessa? Right? I've never heard of Robori, but please bear in mind others of us believe in different gods, calling one true seems to imply others are false, so I would appreciate it if you did not keep that up in my company please."

Elery says, going from quick anger to a respectful and reasonable tone after a single word.

Elery looks slightly sulky, still having something of the young miscreant in her make-up, and in her tone when talking to her Aunt, "Boo, I'm a magical goblin slaying badass, but fine what good would a follower of a nature god who can turn into a giant do against goblins in the woods? True I couldn't keep up with Girnt and Shalelu though. I guess we'll just standby then."

After the meeting she frowns not sure how to respond, "How can we find them though?"

If you are headed out of town I would feel better if we were better equipped, just in case the goblins make trouble again. If possible I would also like to claim any spoils from the goblins we slew to put towards similar ends."

Elery looks to her companions, then holds up the Robe of Bones and broken potion vial, "We found this Robe of Bones, and two skeletons that had been removed from it which we defeated. The sarcophagus had been emptied, and from this vial which we were able to ascertain contained a potion of Ant Haul, a spell that enables heavy lifting, likely by someone relatively slight, or who wished us to believe such. We do not know why the body snatcher would leave a valuable item behind, perhaps they could not control the skeletons and it was an accident, or they were disturbed? We asked Master Voon about the origins of the Robe, but sadly he could offer little assistance. Other than questioning Sandpoint's potion makers to see if any sold a potion of Ant Haul and to whom we do not really have any other leads. Do you have any suggestions Sheriff?"

Flushing scarlet Elery hisses in mock outrage, "A gentleman would not point a girls cheeks out to all and sundry Master Voon! Ideally who owned it, but anything you can tell us might prove helpful, even if you have ideas where it might likely have come from."

"Well we have time we may as well take a thorough search for any more clues," Elery says moving forwards to examine the interior of the casket and then proceeding to go over the tomb in painstaking detail.

Taking 20 on perception for a 22 to search everything - if Girnt joins in she will take 10 to aid him taking 20 for a +2 as she knows he is more observant than her.

But there is a magic emporium, of a sort right? The Feathered Serpent? And from the description it seems like the owner regularly trades with Magnimar, etc. It is at least worth a try I should think?

Yes sadly PBP can have quite a high turnover, I suppose it is just the timeframe :( I suggest we just sell the Robe and split the money.
