![]() Hello, here is the things, i'm building a character mainly on the Elegist archetype of the skald, it will actually serve as a reserve char on a campaign i'm playing. and... well i have some idea to play the char because i find them cool in my point of view. so i want the character to be a singer and dancer wich go well with the skald class, and a half orc.
well hum, so here is the based char FOR : 8
with it i'll take those orc trait : night vison
plus i have two more trait : Self taught scholar
i also took two drawback/flaws to gain two feats. where we actually are in the game, i would begin with this char at lvl 7. Here come the part where i'm confused of what to make...
I want the character to have two one handed weapon (so using TWF), but having something like the bladed scarf... so i looked around and found the bladed scarf dancer archetype from the magus. And i was wondering what could be the best idea... taking another deep of two lvl as a rogue to gain finesse training, +1d6 sneak attack dmg, evasion, and the rogue talent. (The first build test i did took a deep [dump] of 3 lvl as rogue ... and i was comfuse on the part that the third rogue lvl was useless for me because finesse training was only eligible with WF compatible weapon.) it would make somthing like this : lvl 1 : Magus - bladed scarf proficiency/bladed scarf weapon focus feats/canny defence
lvl 2 : Rogue - finesse training (so dex to touch)/+1d6 sneak attack/trapfinding lvl 3 : Rogue - Evasion/Rogue talent (Strong impression not sure about this one i can take it as a feats)
lvl 4 : Elegist - Melancholic Apparition/scroll scrib/bardique knowledge/magic trick
lvl 5 : Elegist - steady hearted (modifie well versed)/ versatile performence
lvl 6 : Elegist lvl 7 : Elegist - Uncanny dodge (i don't think it stack with the evasion from rogue)
so that's the last version that came out of my char... im' pretty pleased with it... but i'm not sure if i understand it all correctly.
sorry for the long post and thanks reading/helping ![]()
![]() ho hum when i was talking about "agile" it was trough the weapon and not with AWT as for becoming a full ranged char, i can take one of those two feats as trained feats via the weapon to gain some time... right ?
if i understood corectly that is. ![]()
![]() i didn't looked on the warrior side so yeah your idea isn't that bad Wonderstell
could this go with AWT warrior spirit?
i already have weapon finesse trough a rogue talents
so i was kind of looking for way to go behind my ennemy trough invisibility or by using shoes of ligntning leaping / boots of speed trough your two proposition i can see some stuff coming out and will continue reading new suggestion... if there are =) as i read, i though of maybe combining a little of the two idea... cause there is idea wich i found good in the two so hum what if i take two more warrior lvl this way when my char pass lvl 9 she gets her fifth lvl as warrioir wich grant her
then at lvl 10 i take a new lvl as warrior and have a new feats and go with circling mongoose (or canny dodge but i think in my case circling mongoose come first ... maybe) tel me what you think of it! ![]()
![]() Hello, thanks for reading and giving me advice ...
i'm playing on a server wich is simuling a city, with multiple game master and no fixed team.
and so here i began a drow rogue with 20 stat point. After some background writing, i attributed my stat like this : STR 13
(i compted the species stats bonus) with this, i had of course all my species traits + 2 traits
+2 feats
and i did some mission... some month and one death/réincarnation later i'm now lvl 8 ... the result of the reincarnation wasn't that bad i just got smaller with more HP. i'm now at : STR 12
as a halfelin with 4 lvl as rogue and 4 as warrior i took some more feats ...
some traits :
so here i am trying to do some nmg +/- 8 without dying while having a char wich have good points ... but is generally outmatched by other char and deal almost no damage (with bow i didn't try her new short sword yet.) but well that's my situation... it's crapy and kind of creepy too. so i have some idea but i don't know what to choose and what would be good ... so here they are : - my stupid mind told me "hey why not taking a deep into magus ..."
- take TWF feats at next lvl wich is rogue like ... but the char isn't very fan of having two weapon there is also the fact that i don't know if using a sword in the main hand and a wand in the second and is considered as TWF or not... - doing some stuff with rogue talents but i have too much otion and not enough experience to know what can give me good survivability and usefuleness... because yes i can most of the time have my char sit in a corner and look at the other do the quest
i also plan to take some stuff and enchantments : - have the agillity echantment applied on my short sword to have some more damage to it (wich is most likely going to hapen) - find a way to have long arms throught potion or spell idk. - have more move speed for spring attack and to apply flank more easily |
