My apologies as well, holidays and the fsct that our net has been out for awhile has been limiting. I'll try writing something from my phone later.

Now that I'm there.... what should Harry ask of the monk? I wish I had Tristan to help me bounce ideas back and fourth, as I've been left at a lost to my own limited wits.

Harry is shocked when he sees the men board the ship, and is attacked by the vicious men and woman in a neighboring vessel. He knows that there is nowhere for them to hide on the open sea, and their vessel was easily a good clip slower then the one coming for them. His mentor Tristan seemed preoccupied with the captain, speaking in hushed but frantic tones, forcing him to act on his own.

Pushed into action, he decides to focus on a fleeting whim and signals his fellows to him. If they're not able to outpace them in an effort to avoid a up close fight, then maybe they'd be able to trick and confuse them instead. If they were to make the pirates think that the people on this vessel were more dangerous then the first seemed they might just have a chance.

He calls for Shay to find any loose heavy objects the crew wouldn't mind loosing while telling Reggie to get some empty barrels. A word is given to the helmsman to turn hard to port on his signal as he waits for his accomplices to finish their task.

Within several minutes he's loading the barrels with a helping of flash powder and a light application of arcane might, and waves his hand for the ship to be turned. Now broadsiding the brigands, he lights the powder within the barrels, his magic artificially enhancing the amount of smoke and helping to launch heavy debris out towards their pursuers.

With a small prayer towards lady luck, he hopes that they buy his bluff and are intimidated into withdrawal.

Okay, I think I get the idea of it now. I'm not sure what Tristan would rather us do, but I'll try my best.

Harry asks Skye to accompany him while they split off to search books that might have key information to help decipher and translate the tomes they have discovered. They decided to conduct their search first in an older part of the library, intent on expanding outward from there depending on their luck.

Male Human W: 0/3 | Ben: 4/4 | Par: 4 | Tough: 4 | Cha: 0 | Pace: 6 | Status: 3 | Power Points:10/10 | None

Harry would be in agreement there, and I don't think he'd be opposed to a social mission as well.

The young magician smiled as he read the letter penned by Van Helsing. He had been hoping for a chance to stay here in England and help out with the society on a more regular basis, and it seemed the man in charge agreed. While it did pain him that his dreams of being on stage was likely to be delayed, he knew that the work he did here would far out do the work he did out there.

He looks up once he spies the Russian man approaching the group, recognizing that it seemed he had history with the others. His hands clasped behind his back as he stood to the side, being respectful to his more experienced peers as they reacquainted with an old friend.

Male Human W: 0/3 | Ben: 4/4 | Par: 4 | Tough: 4 | Cha: 0 | Pace: 6 | Status: 3 | Power Points:10/10 | None

I think Harry would feel most at home with the historical society himself, in part from not being a part of that mission and being one to apreciate knowledge. It would have less resources and a smaller membership however, so that's to take into acount.

Male Human W: 0/3 | Ben: 4/4 | Par: 4 | Tough: 4 | Cha: 0 | Pace: 6 | Status: 3 | Power Points:10/10 | None

Yeah, sorry! I'm ready for us to get going, and I agree that we should at least see what we else we could learn from this case. Could come in handy later on, could simply be fun to read.

Harry mostly just gave a reassuring smile, and let the more experienced Rippers handle this part of the mission. It'd help him learn what to say in the future after all.

Male Human W: 0/3 | Ben: 4/4 | Par: 4 | Tough: 4 | Cha: 0 | Pace: 6 | Status: 3 | Power Points:10/10 | None

Harry opened his mouth to protest, but decided it would be best to choose his words carefully. Victoria probably wouldn't accept the fact that she was frankly still recovering from deadly wounds and was currently hopped up on some sort of drug, probably a painkiller like morphine. He just didn't imagine that was the best state to carry someone, especially when it would get that person covered in blood.

Instead, he simply gave a weak smile and moved toward the older of the two girls. "I feel like I've barely done anything to help in that fight, at least let me make it up by shouldering their weight back to their home. It wouldn't be trouble at all either."

With confidence, he knelt down and, upon quickly deciding the best way to carry her, maneuvered the young woman onto his shoulder while keeping his hands away from improper places. She was heavier then she looked, but he didn't expect to have much trouble with the journey.

"If someone could help her sister, though? Rasheed?" He suggested.

Male Human W: 0/3 | Ben: 4/4 | Par: 4 | Tough: 4 | Cha: 0 | Pace: 6 | Status: 3 | Power Points:10/10 | None

"Of course. Do you... Wish to do anything with the body?" He asked, looking down to where the blood pooled. "I understand that many of our order like to take them in for study and... Other things."

The concept of rippertech was known to him, he'd been in the presence of several who displayed prominent modifications. While the process still sickened him to a great degree he wasn't one to deny it's usefulness. It was one of their main edges against the cabal after all.

Male Human W: 0/3 | Ben: 4/4 | Par: 4 | Tough: 4 | Cha: 0 | Pace: 6 | Status: 3 | Power Points:10/10 | None

Harry smiles, relief finally present in his current mish mash of emotions. "The magic appears to have been more illusion then a true morphing. With 'IT' now defeated, I believe the girls will loose the enchantment soon. Well... So I hope at least."

He paused, looking a little uncomfortable for a scant moment. He was ashamed to admit he didn't know the specifics of this particular field of magic and vowed to do more research once he had the chance. The books he and Rasheed recovered however brought back the ghost of a smile. "These texts will hopefully shed some more light on the matter once we have the chance."

Harry takes a deep, shuddering breath as he takes in the grisly scene, having to fight himself to keep his lunch down. He's glad that at the very least care was taken to merely give the two girls bumps on their heads rather then chop them down for good. But it would all be for not if they didn't find a way to turn them back to their normal, carefree selves. So following the lead of the others, he tried to look around the area for something that could be of use. He channeled magic into his eyes on the off chance that they might lead him into a solution.

Harry struggles to catch sight of the invisible creature, hesitating for several long seconds. Subconsciously he draws on the ambient magic whithin the cave and casts a spell, causing him to briefly catch sight of "It" as the monster's outline shines bright within Harry's third eye.

With a shout of alarm, he grips some of the mud clinging to his loafers, flinging it at the horrific being!

Harry follows close behind Rasheed into the darkened room, but breaks off to instead hug the cave. He needed a moment to gather his wits back, looking around the room frantically hoping that an idea will spring to mind. The flash of the sikh's blade as the man brings the flat against their crazed guides makes him flinch.

He would've much preferred having another tussle with the sewer gators then this.

Just moving far enough in to provide light for the moment, he'll try something next round once he's recovered from this shock.

Harry watches the girls transform with no small amount of confusion and horror, his stomach starting to turn at the sight. This was just a spell, right? Something that could be broken by destroying the right idol?

He was terrified to admit that he didn't know, and hoped to his god that this didn't have to end in violence.

Harry tried his best to keep from flinching at the woman's sharp look before she went on to scout ahead, and he was confident he was reasonably successful. And when she ushered them up ahead to see the girls who ran off, he couldn't help but feel as if something was out of place. The young magician kept his eyes peeled and caution on hand while he observed their reactions and the surrounding area.

His eyes go wide at the sight of Victoria just slamming a vial of some sort of drug straight into her chest. Now was probably not the time to argue over whatever that was and if it was even the correct dosage. Or ever, probably. Victoria is the most terrifying Englishwoman he's come across and he'd rather not piss her off.

The magician approaches closer towards the shaken Rasheed, gripping a fistful of rocks from the cave floor. "Catch!" He called out to draw that gnome's attention, before flinging the pebbles into it's face in an attempt to befuddle it.

It's obvious to the rippers themselves that there is no such creature to be scene.

After a quick perusal, it seems that nobody actually does have a source of light. So, allow me.

Harry waited several seconds, hoping to hear that hopeful sound of someone rummaging though their pockets for box of matchsticks and the clatter of a lantern. But all was silent, as if everyone else was expecting one another to do the very same. 'Damn. I knew I couldn't hide my hand forever. Alright, better get this over with.'

He reached within his pockets to find something suitable for his purpose, smiling when his fingers graced an old hand mirror. He'd long forgotten where he got the thing, but it's usefulness has been proven time and time again. And it'll prove to be especially useful now within the darkened cavern.

Several breathless words pondered at his lips as he traced a finger along the backside of the mirror. Then, sharply flicked the spot he traced, causing the reflective surface to shimmer with the glow of a candlelight. The glass started to bend and twist within it's wooden frame, before leaping upwards and snapping into a perfect sphere. The light from it now shone as brightly as a torch.

He twisted the mirror left and right, the sphere remaining anchored just an inch off the surface no matter what. "There we go, doesn't do us any good fumbling around in the dark. Let's go find those girls."

Harry smiles at Victoria, and replies in a similar tone. "I'm just a few months past eighteen myself. Hardly the realm of adulthood yet."

He looked ahead for when they approach the Cave within the small Glen, feeling those capitalized letters within his bones. There must've been a strong sense of otherwordliness in the air. The young man's eyes closed alongside a soft intake of breath as he began. Taking care to conceal his movements and hush his voice, he plunged his mind inward to meet with something deep within his core. His connection to his magic complete, he opened his eyes and saw.
