Inn: Duglan snaps out of the unnatural fear that had claimed him to stand up and draw his fauchard. "Awww. I sees yer back fer some more," he quips as he steps forward (to the square 1 north of his current position) and takes a swing at the corpse.
Power Attack:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
I had been sitting at the bar, so I don't know if I need to take a move action to stand up from prone. If so, then disregard the attack (It's very likely going to miss anyways)
Male Human Fighter 6
Welcome back :) Glad to hear that you're feeling better Back at the Inn: The others gone from the inn, Duglan sits back down on a nearby stool, puts his feet up on the table, and sets down his fauchard. He lets out a heavy sigh of relief and says, "Dun think she'll be movin anneh time soon. Yannow, with 'er head off an all that. Well, we've got some time ta kill. An I know I'm not the onleh one who could use some ale right about now." He stretches impatiently.
Male Human Fighter 6
Duglan unceremoniously spits out some blood onto the corpse. He seems somewhat relieved to be able to speak out loud again. "Nezessery? Yeh bet yer ass it was nezessery. Tha b#@&@ was tryna kill meh an tha resta us." He then takes a step towards Gordel, finger pointed accusedly. "You. Yeh got anneh reason fer why yer daughter would come back from th'dead hopin to bring yeh to the grave along wit th'rest of us?" Having spoken his mind, he reaches at his belt for a small vial, uncaps it, and chokes down its contents.

Well, despite all of this, Duglan is going to keep on swinging, because why not? Hoping for some kind of massive damage b*#!@~~!, or tons of crits, etc. Power attack! Attack 1:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24

Perception1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23 Hooooooo boy In the heat of the battle, Duglan experiences a troubling thought. "Sumthins wrong." DM: Okay. So, to clarify what you mean, do you mean that A) there are no wounds left on her person, B) that they are present but she is ignoring them despite the fact that they have damaged her, C) or that the wounds we have inflicted have had no effect on her whatsoever? ANSWER IF YOU DARE :)

HP: 24/47 Duglan brushes himself off and turns to face Alaba. (Am I prone right now from being thrown? If so, move action to stand up. If not, full power attack.) Attack 1:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
If attack 2 isn't applicable, don't count it :) Also, I just noticed that my fauchard may be on the ground. If that is the case, I will grab it for the move action.
Male Human Fighter 6
34/47 HP, while grappled, 10/14 Dex Duglan attempts to take advantage of the sudden opening that Harris provides for him.
This fails. Duglan struggles to get out of the grapple by brute force.
Sadly, this does not work as well. Duglan gets the sense that if he had pushed "1 roll" higher, he would have gotten out of that mess.
Male Human Fighter 6
So... yeah... does Harris' attack outright kill it or drop it? If it doesn't...:
Duglan steps forward to the bottom of the stairs (C-2) and takes two swings at Alaba (Power attack).
Attack 1:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29
If she classifies as an evil outsider, let me know so I can add on some d6's to that damage :)
If it does:
Duglan steps forward to the bottom of the stairs (C-2) and stands defensively, ready to strike in case she makes any sudden movement.
EDIT: Oh hai Gromtheb, nice to post the exact second as you :)
Male Human Fighter 6
Duglan finally musters the courage to snap out of the spell and rushes downstairs, fauchard drawn. He barks to the people clustered on the stairs "Outta mah way!" Perception1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23 Since I was upstairs, I have no clue what space I'm going to end up on, but Duglan wants to get into the thick of things and see what's going on, so wherever a double move will take him sounds good.
Male Human Fighter 6
Duglan drinks a tankard of ale while listening intently to Gordel's story. He's sure that at least some of it is false or exaggerated, but he does his best to enjoy them for what they're worth. He's never been much of a storyteller himself, and part of him wishes that he could retell some of the experiences of his past with such enthusiasm. His thoughts drift off into him wondering if he'll ever retire, and all the cool things he could spend his gold on instead of owning a tavern. What a waste that would be. When the others leave and Harris starts barking out orders, Duglan grunts in approval. "Righto. I'll be readeh fer annethin t'night." He pats his armor twice for emphasis. "Ain't nobuddeh gonna blame me fer another murder. Quinn an I'll take first guard. An if yeh need me to stay up a lil longer, I can be around for 2nd or 3rd. M'Nerves gon be actin up annehways, dun think I'll be gettin much sleep."

Duglan nods at Velinari. He whispers back: Perception 20 or Velinari:
"Yeh, I betcha anythin it was that gnome. An I'm sure she'll have summat good ta say to us. And I dun wanna spend mah drinkin time wit that Gordel coot."
He then says out loud, "We'll meet ya back at the inn in a bit. Gonna go take a walk around." With that he flashes a toothy grin and walks off with Velinari.
Male Human Fighter 6
Duglan takes particular interest in the story of the gnome. "Ah, see. Like I says, a gnome actin all like a beggar shows up ta town, but he gots a pretteh necklace. An any real beggar wud be all over a chance fer a warm meal an a bed. And the tiny little f*@&a could climb tha small tree and do tha killin."
Male Human Fighter 6
Duglan stares deliberately at the tree. "On that thing? Nuttin could climb that without breakin all tha branches down. Unless... maybeh it's a child... or a gnome or halfling or summat." He adds, "Also, when we was walkin in town, I got a strange vibe about summat. I think we missed summat important, but I'm not sure what it was. I was too busy yellin at that old bastard Gordel ta really focus."
Male Human Fighter 6
"Aww, thass easy. Pissy lil' f#+#a gets all mopey seein us adventurin sort. He misses tha whole gig an looks fer a way ta kill his daughter and leave tha tavern. So he does it, then yells till kingdom mothaf@*%in come about how it was mah fault. He's a coward. A jealous, smelleh coward."

Holy epic post Batman! K(Nobility):1d20 - 2 ⇒ (9) - 2 = 7
Upon entering the village, and seeing a particularly angered Gordel, Duglan jeers at him, "I'd like ta see yeh try, fatteh. Dont ye blame yer troubles on tha people who HELPED ya." When brought in for questioning, Duglan senses the strange divine force, grunts, and stares right into Heddlu's eyes. "I swear ta ya, mahself, an whatever coots yer kind worships. I dun kill Alaba last night, an I wuddnt thinka doin anythin of that sort."
Male Human Fighter 6
Duglan, who clearly has had enough, walks up right into the boy's face and shouts, "FER THE LAST TIME, BY THE BLADES OF GORUM, I DIDN'T THREAT TA HAVE MAH WAY WITH ALABA." Fighting to hold back his anger, he says very firmly, "All... I said... was that she was pretteh... an' I wudda enjoyed her company if Gordel wanted. Yeh best understand that, yeh little twerpy runt, an' bring us backta yer sad SAD little town so we can save yer sorry lot AGAIN." With that, he aggressively nudges the boy with his shoulder and walks past him in the direction that Ser Harris is going.
Male Human Fighter 6
"Look kid, I spent enough time puttin meh life on tha line to save yer sorry lot from tha bugs. How dare yeh accuse me of these crimes and then ask me for yer help again. Sorry ta hear about her death, but I know I dun caused it and my friends know I dun caused it. So we'll be walkin on, thank yeh very much. Now run along an' tell everyone I'm innocent and wish them the best." Sense Motive 18: You think that Duglan is not sorry at all for the loss of Alaba.
Bluff: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (20) - 2 = 18
Male Human Fighter 6
"We didn't commit no murder. But if yeh try to bring us back to yer smelleh town and try us fer a crime we didn't do, then maybe we'll hafta reconsider not murderin anyone..." Duglan rises to his full height and menacingly glares at the boy, but as he delivers this line, his voice cracks at a few moments. For you guys, this kind of occurrence is common... Duglan is not good at intimidating people, something you find surprising given his size and personality. However, this does not stop him from trying. Intimidate:1d20 - 2 ⇒ (4) - 2 = 2 |
