The paladin tries to step back to give other room to fire. Dragomir attacks again.
Dragomir hacks at one of the rats, but misses.
Dragomir advances, hooking the crossbow back to his backpack, while drawing his longsword and shield. "Shall I go first?"
Dragomir, unsure what is happening, pointed his crossbow at where Borden was yelling, finger on the trigger.
The paladin stay in the back of group, keeping guard and an eye out for more stirges.
Dragomir stays several dozen feet away from the structure, eyes to the skies.

Dragomir notches another bolt in the crossbow, aims, and fire again.
Dragomir move to meet Harran and Borden, crossbow at the ready.
Dragomir nods silently, notching an bolt in the crossbows barrel; making his ranged weapon ready.
Dragomir meet up with the others north of town. The paladin tosses a quiver of arrows at the tiefling ranger, as his borrowed crossbow and bolts hang off his shoulder.
"But..?" Dragomir asked, continuing the thought aloud.
The paladin signs his name Dragomir Venchev. "Anything else, sir?" The holy warrior questions.
Dragomir thanks the veteran as the paladin takes a functioning heavy crossbow, a quiver of 10 crossbow bolts, and another quiver of 10 arrows.
The paladin bows silently at Mia's request on his way to The Armoury. "I shall meet you all just outside of town."
But if you lot don't have any bows I recommend ya' borrow some from the armoury. "Sound idea", Dragomir responds. "I shall acquire a bow and arrows before we leave." The paladin makes his way to The Armoury.
Dragomir just politely nods at the halfling woman. "Good day."
"Excuse me." The pharasman chimed up. "How far off the road is this Mining office?"
The paladin silently shakes his head 'no'.
"I should like to know the name of 'this order', miss." Dragomir asked firmly.
I can handle myself in a fight, especially against the undead, and I guess I'm a fair cook. I've never had any complaints at least."[/smaller][/b] This statement peaked Dragomir's interest. "You have experience in fighting undead? I do too. Corporeal and Incorporeal. What was your latest undead skirmish?"
The half-elf then raises his shoulders and hands in a 'what the hell kind of sense does that make?' kind of fashion. "Personally, I'd rather live my life by my own morals than any imposed upon me by some higher entity, and I get by just fine without revering anyone." "Well..that is your prerogative, I suppose." Dragomir responded tersely, nearly borderline rude. Even the paladin could not excuse his tone. Borden gives a respectful nod to the newcomer and makes a spiral over his heart with his thumb. I know of The Lady of Graves..l'm not a worshipper so much but I do honour Her. The armored warrior was taken aback by older gentlemen's correct use of the spiral over the heart, despite his own admission of not being an adherent. The tall bearded man returns the nod with equal respect. "Forgive my temperament, please. My name is Dragomir Venchev, a paladin in service to Pharasma, Goddess of Death and Birth. Prophecy and Fate."
Dragomir offers a silent nod of acceptance to the intimidated lady. The holy warrior had hoped this first encounter with the mysterious gray-skinned lady would have gone better, but the paladin understands that Pharasma's very nature is intimidating to most. Dragomir tries to steer the conversation away from Pharasma for the moment. "Am I to understand those gathered here were requested by a garrison member this morning as well?"
"Oh. So you're both heading out to hear this announcement as well? The one about the job?" Harran asks from slightly further down the alley. When they reach him, he adds: "Sorry for interfering, Mia - I realize it's probably none of my business. But the situation just looked... ah, 'dubious' from where I was standing," he explains. "It might even be dire to ask for assistance from The Lady of the Mint", said the tall quiet armored warrior standing behind them. This individual is wearing scalemail armor and holding a heavy wooden shield. On his hip a longsword is sheathed and a light flair hangs from his belt. Over his armor a tabbard is draped with the symbol of a white spiral, with a bandolier over that with various flasks.
Dragomir:
The paladin smiles at his mentor,and accepts the spade. Throughout the morning, Dragomir, along with Vitor and the other acolytes, tend to the graveyard, holding back nature's encroachment for another day. Unsure what the garrison might need from him, Dragomir geared up fully before he left the temple, taking his longsword and flail. After a few adjustments, Dragomir's gear was distributed evenly about his person. Walking back into down, Dragomir noticed the garrison's lessen presence on the streets of Diamond Lake, giving the paladin pause to wonder what might have happened or is happening. Hopefully nothing belonging to the machinations of the mine owners. As he approached the notice board, I appeared a small crowd had developed. No doubt others who were asked to assist the garrison, so likely I would be working with these individuals today. Most Dragomir did not recognize. The only one he was familiar with was the mysterious gray-skinned lady, who had just had a collision into a visitor to Diamond Lake. Who would willingly visit Diamond Lake? The Pharasman thought. Dragomir wasn't certain if the altercation was deliberate or not. So the paladin decides to sense evil around the notice board and see what happens.
Dragomir: The paladin smiles at his teacher. "Good morning to you, Vitor. The Lady treats us all fairly. She seems to have placed you in gladsomeness."
"I had received an unusually guest with my breakfast this morn. A representative of The Garrison visited me to ask for assistance in a garrison matter at noon at the notice board in town. If I had no other pressing Lady of the Mint matters, I was thinking I would see if I could assist."
Dragomir Venchev: Dragomir returns the nod and watches him leave. Hmm. Sounds serious. I will pass this on to Vitor when I see him.
Quickly finishing up the breakfast, the paladin deposits his bowl and utensils in the window next to the kitchen sinks and thanks the acolyte accepting them. Dragomir then makes his way to the graveyard to meet Vitor and the acolytes.

Mia, has you considered making your avatar Pharasma? She too has ash grey skin and white hair. It might bring you closer to how Mia looks. Plus, it would likely endear you to a pharasman paladin.

The pharasman doesn't catch himself in time and lets out an audible chuckle, then quickly regains his composure.
"We have mead aplenty. Any vintage you prefer?" Dragomir's request is met with a hearty chuckle from the bartender who busies themself fixing the paladin a drink. "Something young. About two to three summer old, please." The warrior turned to look around the tavern. There were some folk sitting around a large table, but otherwise an empty barroom. They looked slightly familiar..

The tall bearded man quickly opened the tavern door to only close it quickly, not to let in the snow. This warrior took a few moments for his eyes to adjust. He wore a hood which he quickly pulled back to reveal a short head of brown hair and beard. While brushing himself off, the tabard he wore became uncovered, bearing the silver spiral of Pharasma. The warrior walked to the bar to the waiting barkeep. "One ale. Mead if you have it", the pharasman requested.
