As a DM, the Bestiary(s), So well laid out that my job is a lot easier, and the art is awesome.

As a player, loving Advance Race Guide right now, A truly mouth-watering pallet of interesting character ideas.

Setting, either the Inner Sea Guide or Distant Worlds... I'm torn. I would love a large hardback book version of distant worlds along the lines of the Inner Sea Guide, as that would be my new fav.

Honorable Mentions: Core, APG, UM, UC, And the Book of the Damned (Vol. All)

Minis: Got to agree with the FallofCamelot, the goblins are great!

MY Complaints:

6. Please bring the price of the next set back down to earth.

I really don't get this one. Seriously, the price per mini is very low for the quality, especially considering the places willing to sell cases significantly below MSRP. The price is competative with lower quality products. In order to reduce it, there are only a few options.

1. Reduce the size of the sets. This wont affect price per mini but will reduce the cost of the box. Do you really want fewer minis?

2. Ensure that commons are cheaper to produce than rares. This means that they will need to have fewer paint steps and less complicated sculpts. This is true for many now, but not a universal rule. Also, it would likely reduce the ability to make more common enemies more common minis, since painting difficulty will be an increased driving factor. Do you really want the commons looking crappier or being less useful minis, or ones you only need one of?

3. Eliminate the goal of having complete sets per case. This will allow them to increase the number of commons per case and reduce the rares. In order for this to have any real effect on prices though, it must combined with step 2. Otherwise you are just making it harder for people to get what they want by forcing them to buy even more minis. Given how popular getting complete sets is, I doubt it will go away.

4. Reduce the overall quality of the line to reduce costs. I don't think anyone would really say they want to see this.

Number 1 please. smaller sets, I love being able to get a case and basically get the whole set, but that price tag is to great to repeat every 4-6 months. Now the 30-40 mini set at the same price per mini is much easier to budget for. If they continue at this price point I will have to choose between complete set of minis, or everything else, and i don't want to halve to make that choice.

See I can understand that, but I been playing a long time (all of 3.X and some 2nd ed D&D even), and I always feel guilty if I don't take a familiar. Almost like I'm cheating on the little critter or something.

in 3.x (3.5 i think) there was an option in one of the books to drop havving your familiar for a bonus feat. i'm not sure if that's part of pathfinder but i'll check with my dm if i can do that.

if i can trade the familiar for a feat, then that would make loremaster stand out a bit more. (plus loremaster is conceptually awesome for a diviner i think)

if i can't trade out the familiar, it seems like for critical game mechanics that loremaster only really nets me +2 on fort and reflex saves.

The Affair might be worth while if you get a good feat. *looks around suspiciously to see if his familiar heard him*

Also I guess I should mention I'm used to groups where one caster controls, and another buffs, and I was control, He was buff the party, It actually worked quite well most of the time. Depending on party make up, abjuration may be a great or horrible choice. although conjuration does give mage armor and summon monster which are two of the best defenses you can get.

I find Abjuration, Evocation, Necromancy, and Enchantment the easiest to use as opposition schools depending on character concept and setting. For example if the campaign involves a lot of political intrigue keep enchantment its a life saver, if however its mostly fighting dragons and such, enchantment suddenly isn't so nice. At the end of the day, you can still use your opposition school spells if u really need to, so as long as that's not real often it doesn't really matter much.

I once prestidigitationed the barbarians hard earned trophy giant skunk pelt to not smell like skunk... then proceeded to use illusions to make it neon pink with purple polka-dots, as he was a color blind barbarian this took awhile for him to figure out, and as the player wasn't the fastest on the uptake, an hour later he finally realized the whole group was laughing at his character, and so I let him in on the joke.

Of note I prefer conjuration, divination, and illusion myself.

If your group is less about optimization than role play, be an evoker and have fun with it, if the group is a bunch of munchkins with a killer GM, Go read trentmonk's guide and dont look back!

As suggested by others, he cant do it alone, Assassins never work alone if there any good really, they are hired by someone to kill someone else, often someone who could do it themselves, but doesn't want to get there hands dirty, perhaps for political reasons, maybe they want a royal killed, because they are next in line, if they do it themselves, they certainly are not going to be welcomed in as the new royal for example. Or at least not in some civilizations. :) He is an Assassin. Killing is his profession, who hired him? Most likely if they can afford him (considering his experience), they can provide him with help avoiding detection etc.

As a by the seat of my pants dm,who often introduces a npc, only to have players make fun of the lame name, i hope these have interesting names.
