Actually I've done this a lot. Try to stick to using many low CR creatures instead of a single CR creature that matches the party. The added benifit of this is that if some of your party skips on you all you have to do is subtract some baddies.

I like having a heads up on anything D&D (especially Eberron these days) but I did have a problem with this article. Spoilers.

(Plus what I really wanted was write-ups for the City of Towers novel.)

Okay, I'm appologizing ahead of time because I didn't have time to read this whole thread and if nothing else just count this as one more vote if it was brought up already.

I really like the Wil Save article but I think it belongs in Dragon with the other more 'generic' D&D stuff. After all, most of his argticles aren't about DMing, they are about life as a gamer.

Over on the Eberron boards there are quite a few requests being made to Mr. Baker for write-ups of his characters in his new novel. I think the perfect place to display them would be in this magazine.

I don't think the druid needs more power (they've got more blast than clerics and more healing than wizards/sorcerers), I think they just need more 'cool'. Roleplaying suggestions as well as tips and tricks.

I wouldn't mind seeing any interview with any celebrity. (As long as it is coherent anyway, don't bother interviewing Ozzy (though the man is awesome)).

Oh yeah, the tarrasque one was good too! I'd forgotten about that one.

I was really looking forward to the Beowulf article and found it 'pretty good.' I'd say it was average. Not a dissapointment but not fantastic.

Something really did get my imagination fired up though. I had just glanced at the Class Act for Sorcerers and then run off to work and with a 30 minute drive and plenty of downtime in between customers had time to think about it. I'd really like my new player's sorcerer to have the option of having a bee swarm as a familiar but when I came home and read the article it was somewhat powergamerish when what I really wanted was something mostly for flavor (as that's all we usually use familiars for besides spying). Any suggestions for doing this? Would it require the Improved Familiar feat? Could it perhaps be taken at 1st or 2nd level?

Oh, another thing I was slightly dissapointed with was the brief coverage for the Dragonshard game. Of course if it hadn't been mentioned on the cover I wouldn't have gotten so excited...
