Perfect description, I fully get it now. Thanks a bunch for the help! Its so great to have the original insight into the module.

Brandon, wanted to say our first session went awesome and have one question. I don't fully understand the aquarium room. It seems like such an awesome visual to describe so I want to make sure I got it down pat. How deep did you envision the pool? Does the constant flowing water come down strong in front of the bubble back into the pool? How high is the bubble to the pool? How does melee reach the octopus? Sorry if thats alot but any info would be great!

Thanks again Brandon, good info!

Thanks, Dolgo! I tell 'ya -those boys leave no stone unturned. Hahaha.

Have a blast with From Shore to Sea!

Thanks, I know it will be a well received adventure after reading it.

I was wondering, what to you do to show your players the map of Blackcove or of any other map that's in a module? Do you roughly draw it? Photocopy them but cover up important sites names? Other? I've always had a roadblock about how to display the maps in modules but not give away everything they show fearing my PC's would say "lets go straight to A8 that looks interesting."

Should the compass on the Blackcove map on page 6 be turned upside down? Seems like from the map, Blackcove faces the south to the Hellmouth Gulf.

Hey Dolgo!

The compass can really work however you like, given all the cutback coves and craggy jetties of the Hellmouth that carve into the continenet every which way. As represented, it could just as easily be a deeply inset, backwater cove oriented the way depicted, though if I could snap my fingers and have it done, I'd point the compass rose so that current North is West. It would make a little more sense that way.

Whatever works'll work! =-)

And thanks for covering my butt on the quick reply on level advancement yesterday, Erik!

Thanks Brandon, I will run it as you stated as a cutback cove. I listened to your insight on PF Chronicles podcast, good info into the module, its a huge help!

Thanks for the info Erik!

Anyone know what level the PC's should be if they finish this module. I wish this was something reflected in all the module's product information.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know you could start with 4th and 7th level pre-gens.

Will see you there!! Signed up for the First steps (Friday Sessions) as well. Bringing some buddies, Hope to be seated at the same table!! Let's have ourselves some fun games!

Hey I'm looking forward to it! First time playing Pathfinder as a PC and first time playing at a PFS/Convention. I've made a cleric, I'm sure he will be needed.

I'd like to play more but this is the beginning of my first my PFS character so I can only play level 1 adventures, right?

Thanks for the info Michael and Brooks, see you guys there! I've signed up for all day Friday PFS Intro 1-3 and Frostfur Captives on Sunday night!

Hey Michael, any explanation to the explosion of open slots for most sessions updated today (Aug 16th)? The sessions now show opens slots in the teens.

There are plenty of books available to Amazon. They make a guess on how many to purchase and then when sales go over that, they put some far out there release date and they try to get more books. My guess is that that date will all of a sudden turn into to a "available now" date sometime in the next week or so. This is only a guess, as the mechanisms of Amazon are more cryptic than Nordic runes. But there are plenty of books to buy from us, trust me. :)

My issue with them and I have commented on this happening in the past is that in their generic "delayed email" they pretty much blame Paizo and/or the distributor between Paizo and Amazon.

This is from their email that I got today, May 18th, 1 day before I was supposed to get UM from Amazon. They kindly give me ONE day notice its delayed 2 months. I do understand that it might and probably will ship sooner. Many people that order your products through Amazon might read this email and not know to check this site for the actual release date, and they have easily placed the blame on Paizo.

-WHY WAS MY ORDER DELAYED?
While we do our best to adhere to our delivery estimates, our inventory is constantly changing based on information we receive directly from our suppliers. Occasionally, unexpected fluctuations in supply, delays during shipping, or changes in release dates for new products will add time to our original delivery estimate.-

So we have to blame, info from suppliers (not occasionally so must be the main cause), OCCASIONALLY UNEXPECTED fluctuations in supply (thats funny, this happens every time with a new Pathfinder product), delays during shipping ("who ships it? Paizo? oh they must have delayed it"), or CHANGES IN RELEASE DATES FOR NEW PRODUCTS. All those imo point to Paizo.

Yes I know about buying from a store or direct from Paizo, but I placed many orders at the same time with Free Shipping from Amazon almost 6 months ago. Sorry just pissed,

...

You are right. Sadly I knew this was gonna happen with this release, just wish it was the last.

Duh, what...

I expect them to be not continue this trend. My post is not about the message to me for my problem its about fixing this with Paizo and not blaming them for it. But Duh refers to stupidity so I guess I'm stupid for having issue with Amazon telling their customers is Paizo's fault. Back to school with me.

Arrow, Blunt: These arrows have rounded wooden tips. They deal bludgeoning damage rather than piercing damage. An archer can use a blunt arrow to deal nonlethal damage (at the normal –4 attack penalty for using a lethal weapon to deal nonlethal damage).

[emphasis mine] Blunt arrows are bludgeoning weapons. Therefore, they overcome DR x/bludgeoning.

Thanks got the info.

I was wondering about the blunt arrows that are in this adventure and the skeleton's DR 5/bludgeoning. Should these arrows be able to do actual damage to a skeleton, bypassing the DR 5/bludgeoning? I would think that an arrow that can knock you out should be able to do at least some damage to bones. Thoughts?

I ordered mine from my local store, when can I expect mine.

That's a question only your local store can answer. We're shipping product out to distribution, so they SHOULD have it quite soon. But as for exact dates any one store will have it... that's not something we could tell you.

Does this include Amazon.com Mr. Jacobs?

Sweet! Amazon just sent me an update that the condition cards will be available on July 14th! Looks like I'm about to make my first direct from paizo purchase.

Finally got it and like it. Get map pack shops too!

City Streets appears to be stuck in Amazon limbo with no shipping date or when to expect it. They got the Map Pack City Shops just fine but not the flip mat. Any info?

PS, yes I know support your local game store, buy direct, etc. Free shipping is just so good.

That's why I rely on brick-and-mortar stores; I know I'd get my Paizo stuff cheaper from Amazon, but my FLGS can give me a reliable estimation on the date and they e-mail me as soon as the stuff has arrived. And I also want to support my FLGS, even if it costs me around 10-20% more (since the prices are converted directly to euros).

I'm late to Pathfinder and have Amazon's free shipping, so it has been great to use to catch up with core books and older items. This makes getting it straight from paizo looking better though.

Backstory:

Pandora and I grew up together on the streets of Old Krovosa and the rooftops of The Shingles. We were rivals first, then friends, and eventually partners and lovers. If Old Korvosa was our home, then The Shingles were our sanctuary. It wasn't an easy life, but it was ours and we made the best of it and eventually even profited off of it. There is a saying in Old Krovosa: "There is always work in Krovosa for those with quick feet and a brave heart." With an implication that said work would not be savory. Not only did we have nimble feet and no fear, we had a strong knowledge of the Shingles and its pathways. We delivered notes at first, nothing too important, but over time the local shops and gangs both trusted us with more valuable cargo. Packages, encrypted verbal messages, small animals, we picked it up and we dropped it off whatever it might be. We eventually saved up enough coin and bought a small apartment for the two of us. We decorated it with momentos awarded by our clients who had grown to rely on us and respect us.

We felt the King and Queen of the Shingles and nothing could have stopped us! Until the day Pandora picked up a package she refused to deliver. I don't know what it was, but what I do know is that it cost her her life. I was called to identify her body and I will never forget how dull her usually vibrant azure eyes were. Whoever killed her took the package, but not only that they took her ring, the ring that once belonged to my grandmother, the ring that I gave her with whispered vows of forever. Good ol' Chester has the ring for sale now. He never asks questions about where his goods come from. He won't part with it at a price I can afford, but my story did move his few emotions enough to get a name. A man we have had run ins with in the past. He will give me the name of who did this, or he will give me his life.
