Male Human Gadgeteer

Don't change your character... I just find it really hard to find something to add and almost all my posts end up being quite minimalist. Dottie will win in a contest of will over what to do next outside of certain circumstances as I'm not as invested and he fully recognizes he's less experienced at this stuff than the others.

Male Human Gadgeteer

Icarus is glumly going to stash his gear before going to the rendevous.

Male Human Gadgeteer

Icarus heads off to stow his gear before a little glumly heading to the rendevous.

Male Human Gadgeteer

"Alright." He shrugs before relenting to Dotties plan. "Lets get this over with."

Male Human Gadgeteer

I get it... you can understand why Icarus wouldn't be too keen on being disarmed around Dottie after seeing what she can do in a fight... it's a bit intimidating to say the least.

Male Human Gadgeteer

Icarus takes the pen again and writes down. If I can't bring any of my gear and it's specifically meant to be somewhere with no tech I'm not sure there's much point in me going. I'd help better just going somewhere else to make them expend more resources tracking me. There's a point when being cautious becomes crippling.

Male Human Gadgeteer

Doc Icarus nods. He takes the pen and adds.

Not here, no point exposing how to open up bits of peoples gear in a place that could be bugged. Dottie fancy getting a hotel room?

Male Human Gadgeteer

"I'm not going to say I like the sound of any of most of the start of that... but still coming out ahead of Charlie. Let's add to your crimes with a minor indiscretion, you manipulated me into buying you a few drinks at a bar once before disappearing out the ladies room window... I think. It didn't help my self esteem at all."

Male Human Gadgeteer

Not bothering with responding to it anymore he begins to try to figure out where the transmission is coming from.
Computers or Craft Mechanical: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19

Male Human Gadgeteer

Doctor Icarus looks at the others with a bemused look. "Do you honestly expect us to start dancing to your tune if wow us with a bunch of cheesy Charlies Angel's gibberish."

Male Human Gadgeteer

"Not exactly being too endearing. A shadowy figure digging around our history and dropping tid bits about... it's a daring approach I'll give you that."

Male Human Gadgeteer

"Afraid not... and Dottie don't go calling shotgun on who gets to be the blonde in a bikini while I'm still wearing the trench coat." But despite his jest he looks towards the phone.

Male Human Gadgeteer

Icarus cuts quite the suspicious figure as he shows up with a trench coat over his costume... still it's slightly better than showing up in just the costume.

Male Human Gadgeteer

Knowledge Tech: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18

Doc finds it a little hard to follow he asks Nite Owl. "Have a look at this, it's a bit odd."

Male Human Gadgeteer

Still about, just watching the horror unfold.

Male Human Gadgeteer

"Well there's been crazy fringe scientist and engineers coming up with all sorts of odd stuff for decades. Maybe someone found some older tech like that but can't replicate it or doesn't want to for some reason with newer hardware. So they're harvesting surviving older tech like clunky old arcade machines and other things to get compatible parts."

Male Human Gadgeteer

Hopefully it goes well for you!

Male Human Gadgeteer

"Whatever did it the process modified it was much faster than the machine... if there was one. It could be something that was just done while it was in put. I'd say the gatecrashers will turn up more of use than I will with this."

Male Human Gadgeteer

Investigate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

Doctor Icarus examines the receipt carefully, if the register was remotely hacked to change the print out he would expect to see some clue, no doubt a little judder in the printing process or some such while the machine adjusts to the altered command. Too quick for most to pick up but potentially leaving a paper trail of a different sort.

Male Human Gadgeteer

"Well how much time do we allocate to resting and how much to preparation. No point running ourselves into the ground and making mistakes that could get people hurt."

Male Human Gadgeteer

Icarus prints off the contact lists of the phone, text history and call logs for the group to review.

Male Human Gadgeteer

After delay the two will be teleported away, he can't just be sitting around all day waiting for people.

"Nothing incriminating on the phone. Lots of bits about repairing tech from the eighties... and not like super science tech either. Might have been a red herring."

Male Human Gadgeteer

"He's a retro computer nerd, lots about repairing eighties tech but nothing I've recovered from the phone raises a red flag. He did have it set up to be disabled with the right signal but I've sorted that."

Male Human Gadgeteer

Icarus starts trying to figure out what little he can from both the phone and the receipt. "Not a bad spot and if you break from the treeline you'll be easy to spot snooping."

I don't want to roll a load of things that might not be relevant so just let me know what you want rolled Radavel.

Male Human Gadgeteer

"I've had a lot of time to consider how to mess with peoples heads. I'll send you up shortly."

"Not bad at all now you mention it, what're you thinking Nite Owl? There might be something in the library that could be a useful reference."

Doc will send Dottie up to talk with the kid.

Male Human Gadgeteer

Icarus smiles at Dottie "I wouldn't count on him finding his way in, that address was just a rally point. but I did let you in Dottie... want to mess with him a little a convince him you can teleport?"

Male Human Gadgeteer

"I went out to get some milk, that kids shown up again. I'm not sure about bringing him down here, what does everyone else think?"

Male Human Gadgeteer

"Not quite traps it would be best if we double check the phone for anything useful right now I think." Icarus smiles "You're made of apples for the most part." He adds in a wink for good measure.

Technology: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15

Male Human Gadgeteer

"If we grab someone and need to hold them for a bit before handing over to the police or shield then I've got a few holding cells set up. The place isn't done, I wasn't expecting to be active just yet. There's always another invention I want to hammer out beforehand... but timetables get messed with."

Dottie's trained eyes will not panels that are clearly meant to slide aside concealing... a defence system? Fire prevention system?

"If you get bored while the tech heads do their thing and don't want to cook or lounge in the sitting room there's a library that way. There's bedrooms that way. If a door doesn't open just leave it be." He looks at the others. "Please."

Male Human Gadgeteer

"You'll be fine, I've done this thousands of times and mathematically you're not much different from the test apples. Beam me up Scotty." Doctor Icarus does his best Shatner impression.

One moment the group is standing on the roof... the next in a comfortable looking windowless living room. "There are toilets that way, the kitchen's over there. The gym's not up and running yet but I'll save the grand tour, unless one of you is nursing a hidden injury I suppose we'd best head to the lab." He starts walking backwards clearly very used to the space they are currently in and starts walking towards the lab.

"You're my first guests and though I've still got plans to expand feel free to give me some feedback." He holds open a door with 'Lab' clearly written on it. to reveal a windowless laboratory with various bits of lab equipment.

Male Human Gadgeteer

Once the group is all assembled Doc smiles "Alright nobody get acrobatic and start bouncing around. I've got a bit of a secret entrance to this save house shall we say. Everyone ready?"

Male Human Gadgeteer

"If we pull back for now he could put it down as having fallen out of his pocket. Short of you just jumping him I'm not sure how much more we can get here. The call logs on the phone might be our best bet. So shall we retire for drinks and technical snooping?"

Male Human Gadgeteer

Doctor Icarus starts looking it over. "I'll crack it open to get it's secrets but disassembling it first might be best." Careful to make sure there were no booby traps or counter measures before he starts removing the battery and sim card. As well as anything more cunning a skilled individual like him would doubtlessly think of.

Male Human Gadgeteer

I did not, I'll see if I can dig it out.

Male Human Gadgeteer

Yeah just sitting on the sidelines for now... I'm looking forward to Icarus showing off his HQ... less so trying to keep Dottie from picking all the locks.

Male Human Gadgeteer

Still about but separated from the group as ye do the tracking down.

Male Human Gadgeteer

The good Doctor zips up to the others "You know that old abandoned biscuit factory on Jane's Street, meet me on the roof, I've got somewhere safe nearby we can rest and go over anything. It's been a bit of a whirlwind so far."

Male Human Gadgeteer

"It looks like you should get out of here too kid, the cops might as some awkward questions you'd rather not answer."

Male Human Gadgeteer

Icarus stands there looking impatiently at where the rest of the group went "I need to give them a little more a headstart... maybe I should make some kind of stealth tech because this hanging back thing is a bit frustrating." He moves to open any more handcuffs.

Male Human Gadgeteer

Icarus keeps his pistol handy while he lets the pair get a lead to scout. He taps his foot anxiously and exhales deeply while looking at Batman "How long do you think we should give them before moving up? I doubt the person didn't hear all the gunfire but they seemed keen on being quiet."

Male Human Gadgeteer

Doctor Icarus looks at Q'in "And the bad guys are up this way." Leaning closer to Q'in he gives him a wink before adding "I can feel it in me waters."

Male Human Gadgeteer

"Not on me, it's getting things down to a handy size to be carried around that's the problem. He's with a local church that some of their families asked for help..."

Male Human Gadgeteer

"Well not to be rude but you're a bit young to be running around this kind of things, in all seriousness it might be best once you find whoever you're looking for if you hightail it out of here."

Male Human Gadgeteer

He's going over to the captives so I assume he notices the strange man helping them and is just rolling with it.

Male Human Gadgeteer

Icarus shakes his head and heads off to help the people but calls over his shoulder. "Don't kill him, it'll just lead to the two of us arguing."

Icarus takes out some tools and steps down beside the strange newcomer and starts undoing the young woman's restraints. Looking at the strange man he nods. "Hey. So what brings you to this part of town..."

Disable Device: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

Male Human Gadgeteer

"I bet he's got a secret emergency exit up in that office of his, it's probably built into a space invaders arcade game or something... I wonder if he'll have some booby traps set up or was he relying on the goon squad here entirely to buy him escape time." Doctor Icarus waits not foolish enough to be willing to barge into the place alone.

Male Human Gadgeteer

"The tech here is all too out of date to be responsible, whatever devices they used they are hiding or disguising somehow. Not too surprising given the effort they've gone to with all these hired goons... I wonder are they really meant to guard it or just slow people down?"

Male Human Gadgeteer

"Ok time to figure out what the hell is going on in here." Icarus looks around trying to figure out or spot where the source of the hacking could be.

Male Human Gadgeteer

Dr Icarus starts heading in the rough direction he last saw Batman head in and lands on some of the large machinery as he looks about.

The site ate my post...

Doctor Icarus hops through the broken skylight after activating his jump pack to find fresh foes.
