Negative Essence Your undead eidolon has a link directly to your life force, which grants it a twilight state between living and undead. This renders it a living creature and therefore susceptible to many ailments that bother only the living, though it does possess some resistances to these effects.

The eidolon has negative healing, meaning it heals from negative energy effects that heal undead and is damaged by positive energy effects that damage undead. It doesn't have an undead's normal immunities, but it does gain a +2 circumstance bonus to saving throws against death effects, disease, and poison effects, and non-damaging effects that target only undead. Additionally, its necrotic essence stanches its wounds easily. The flat check to remove persistent bleed damage from the eidolon is DC 10 (or DC 5 after receiving particularly effective aid).

◆Constricting Hold Requirements Your eidolon has a creature grabbed or restrained.
Your eidolon constricts the creature, dealing bludgeoning damage equal to your eidolon's level plus its Strength modifier, with a basic Fortitude save against your spell DC. (14, DC 29)

◆◆ Drain Life; Effect Your eidolon attacks a living creature and drains some of the creature's life force to feed your shared link. Your eidolon Strikes a living enemy. Now that he has the troll's full attention, Deregar pours magic into Tyr's battered form, increasing the dragon's speed and urging him to fly far in front of the pursuers.

Tyr is large and has 10-foot reach, so hopefully he can reach her from where we are.

As they draw near, he pulls a hood up over his skeletal visage and stands in the back of the retinue. He sends Tyr to dwell in the realms between life and death until he is called.

He's also in my Aura of Despair: Your presence as an avatar of evil makes your foes more susceptible to terror and makes it almost impossible for them to shake off fear when you are near. Enemies in your champion's aura take a –1 circumstance penalty to saving throws against fear. In addition, an enemy that ends its turn in your champion's aura can't reduce the value of its frightened condition below 1.

Deregar moans as he rolls over from his uneasy rest, lurching to his feet.

"Ugh, maybe I picked up something in that tomb..." he groans. "I can't seem to keep warm."

"I'll check in with Tyr and see if he knows anything about it."

You've seen Deregar summon his eidolon many times, but something is clearly off today. A cold wind blasts out from the summoner as he gathers energy around him, and Tyr arrives wreathed in crackling black energy! The dragon's once-noble features are tarnished and his scales are blacked. His proud wings are spectral tatters.

Deregar screams as Tyrkaxian appears, though the sound is cut short as his body is consumed in dark flames. Before anyone can react, his flesh has melted away, seemingly burned up from within. A skeletal corpse is left in his armor.

A heartbeat later (if anyone witnessing this still had a beating heart), the armor and bones stir, rising from the ground once more.

"I feel...different," the skeleton rasps. He flexes his bony hands and draws his sword. A malevolent light shimmers from the blade. "Different, but good."

"Tyr, shall we go get revenge?"

The remains of the dragon merely screech in assent!

Deregar coughs up some bloody phlegm, "You were rightm of course, Nightsong. No hope of negotiating with that. We have to be better prepared and destroy it..." He trails off, evidently exhausted by the brief statement.

Deregar looks haggard, with deep circles under his eyes and a sallow pallor shrouding the rest of his face.
