![]() Spellcraft Check to ID the spell: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 "A necromancer! Leave him to me!" Demaiv charges straight at the goblin with the whip, jumping and slashing at him, with a very animal-like ferocity. Charge, power attack, swift action to Arcane Strike.

![]() Demaiv sees the goblins coming, (how many?) and moves to be in between them and Dani, casting a spell to ward away attacks. "I'm not going to run while these bastards roam the town. If you're not armed, stay behind me. I will hold them to the best of my power." Demaiv had hoped to save his Strength spell for the competition, but these circumstances were far more dire, so he will cast that spell as well in the round before the goblins arrives. 2 rounds worth of actions: Shield and Bull's Strength.

![]() Demaiv cheers Dani on as she makes her first try. Well, at least she won her money back. This was more than Demaiv hoped for as he stepped up to the ramp, pulling a silver from his pouch and handing it to the man running the game. Attack Rolls:
Demaiv laughs as his shots go wildly off-target, a couple balls missing completely, sailing way over the targets and landing behind them. Laughing and smiling after the last two shots hit the targets, Demaiv looks at Dani: "Well, this one definitely isn't my game is it?" ![]()
![]() The itch to show off his strength to Dani is there, but Demaiv spies the quiet man with the ramp. That seems more along the lines of Dani's talents. He was here to show her a good time, not show himself off. That was what the talent show was for. Demaiv releases the lady's arm and points out the empty looking booth at the far end. "What say we pay that man a visit?" Demaiv then, as serruptitiously as possible, casts Guidance and then clasps Dani's hand, transferring the luck granted by the spell to her. He hopes that she doesn't realize what he did. "Hello there! What do you call this game? How much for the lady to play?" Demaiv calls to the man as the pair approach. ![]()
![]() Demaiv blushes, reading too much into what Dani said, and stumbles over his words: "Er... well hopefully I'm not too boring for you." Demaiv leads the lady on his arm around the festival, trying to show her a good time, naturally paying for everything. Is there a midway-type thing? We should play some games xD ![]()
![]() Demaiv smiles as Zella clarifies that he dance would be appropriate for all ages. Demaiv sets a gold coin down on the table. "For the pair of us. I would like to display both a bit of magic and a showing of strength, if you've something quite heavy.. say.. 800lbs, I may be able to lift it off the ground." Once again, Demaiv flexes for Zella's benefit. ![]()
![]() "I would enjoy watching you dance. It must be beautiful." Demaiv says, the last line almost whistfully, seemingly lost in a daydream. He shakes his head and smiles at the woman next to him. "Let's see if I can't win you a prize in the strength contests." The pair head over to the physical contests, Demaiv trying to keep away any hawkers who would seek to pester his date. ![]()
![]() Zelladania wrote: Dania enjoys breakfast with Demaiv and his mother and inquires what a handful he must have been as a young child. When Demaiv goes off to clean up and change clothes for the morning, she'll try to subtly inquire of his mother if there are any young ladies around who had been waiting for his return. Obviously Dania wants to know if she has any competition.. Demaiv's mother smiles knowingly and tells Dania that Demaiv never really had friends, let alone girls waiting for him. As they're leaving, Demaiv offers his arm and they stroll towards the festival. He feels very strange, elated and also extremely nervous. As they stroll through the festival grounds, Demaiv watches Dani to see what she's most interested in, and suggests that they start with those activities. Your move, fair lady. ;) ![]()
![]() "Something about Sandpoint makes folk come back. Isn't that right Demaiv?" Demaiv had just finished rubbing his face with a cloth, and looked a little more awake. He looks quite cheerful. "I must say, having seen some of the glories of the world... even the Starstone of Absalom can't compare to being home again." Demaiv says, sighing contentedly as he takes his seat at the table, opposite his mother and to Dania's left. One might think he was trying to impress Dania with his worldliness. He takes a bite of one of the cakes. "Delicious as always mother. Maybe people keep coming back to Sandpoint for your cooking. Dig in Dani!" ![]()
![]() Demaiv's mother is a short woman - so short that it makes you wonder where Demaiv got his height. She is slim and sports shoulder length brown hair, streaked with grey. She smiles as Dania enters behind Demaiv. "Hello there young lady! she says, leaving a griddle on a wood stove as she walks over. "Mom, this is Zelladania. She was one of the people I met in Magnimar. Dania, this is my mother, Esmeralda." Demaiv introduces the pair, then goes to set the bucket of water down next to the stove. The house is small, one large room making up the entire building. Esmeralda smiles at Dania after being introduced, saying: "Lucky for us, I made extra breakfast. Demaiv can have the appetite of a dragon at times." She stops talking as she whisks Dania to the table and sets a wooden plate down with 4 large griddle cakes. "Now, where are you from? You look terribly familiar, dear." ![]()
![]() "I'm sure she won't mind!" Demaiv says lightly. "She can be a bit doting though, so consider yourself warned." Demaiv leads the way to the small-ish house near the outskirts, making small talk as he goes. He swings the door open when he arrives, "Mom! I brought company!" Would you like to control her Goblins or shall I? ![]()
![]() Demaiv smiles at Dania and waves her over. Now carrying a full bucket of water, Demaiv momentarily lets his eyes wander over the dancing costume, approval clear in his eyes. Still a little embarrassed at his hasty departure last night, Demaiv says: "Good morning Dania, I hope you slept well?" He pauses as she asks of his night. "Yes, my mother is well and we talked late last night. I would love to walk around town, but first I must attend to breakfast. Would you care to join me? My mother makes delicious griddle cakes." Demaiv is still wearing the same clothing as normal, the silken robes. He is not carrying any other weapons or gear. ![]()
![]() Demaiv yawns and stretches, lazily getting up from the mat on the floor. His mother wasn't so rich as to afford a house with a room for both of them. The smell of the griddle cakes makes his rousing much easier though, and Demaiv greets his mother good morning with a kiss on each cheek. "I think I will go fetch some water and wash up before breakfast." Demaiv says, grabbing the water bucket. They had stayed up late the previous evening, and it is fairly late when Demaiv awakens. Still groggy, he makes his way to the town water source to fetch some water. ![]()

I'm with you here Goblins, and even if I wasn't most of this stuff probably wouldn't be aloud in the Paizo forums. I'll also have to agree with you on the homosexuality thing, I don't think there's an inherent taboo in Golarion against it. And I don't think you have to worry about us cybering, either :P But Demaiv is an 18 year old guy who probably has never had a girl look at him seriously, let alone play along. That being said, about your rant: I'm a little torn here. The problem is, at least the way I view it, sex is a central aspect of the human experience. It's true of VIRTUALLY everyone that sex plays a part of their life (not 100% but almost). That is why a character's sexuality matters. I don't think it's a big deal though, and certainly shouldn't be a central point of a character. When J.K. Rowling came out that Dumbledore was gay, does that make his character different throughout the books? No. Basically, what it comes down to is that sex is a part of life. It will happen in D&D games, because those try to emulate life. Sex can be a part of a character's growth or struggles. But we can leave the details out. That being said, I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and I look forward to starting a regular posting schedule again xD
