sorry, looks like the post i made a few days ago got eaten! Delkaneth's curiosity is intrigued by the rare and unusual spell, despite its obvious evil nature. At Felix's remark about the timing of the attack the young explorer moves a short distance down the trail to act as a lookout between the witch's group and the wagon. Not too far, maybe 30ft or so, but while everyone is huddled around the wounded guy Delkaneth will stand guard, thinking that if Felix is right and this just happened our voices might draw her attention back this way. Delkaneth does not even pay attention to the book as it floats away from the coffin, relying on the spell to keep it away from the creature. Recalling what he knows about ghouls causes him to hesitate only for a moment as he draws weapons and attacks. He feels the press of his allies around him but trusts his luck to get him through. Once folks appear to be in position and prepared, Delkaneth begins working on the locks. The rattling of the coffin unnerves him a bit, again resulting in it taking longer than it should. The young man has been distractedly looking at the stonework and plaques adorning the outside of the cemetery, mumbling to himself about the age and history of the place, and starts as his name is called out. Curiosity almost gets the young adventurer out of his seat as the dwarves and his companions start conversing and examining items for sale. He can just barely make out the stories the dwarf tells of the torc and the ring, suddenly realizing that he is doing a lousy job pretending he is not interested in whats going on at that table. Ordering another round in an attempt to appear like any normal patron, Delkaneth continues to keep an eye open..... sorry folks, crazy week at work last week and this one looks to be bad too. Delkaneth is about to move toward the dwarves as the others take up the task of engaging them. He maintains his position at the other table, away from the group, and focuses on the other patrons to see if this conversation with the dwarves is drawing any undue attention. Delkaneth also spends much of the journey working small jobs on the ship, having no experience with sailing but being nimble enough to help anyway. He gladly takes Conner's offer to spar and does so often. His two-weapon combat style is rapid bordering on frenetic, and there are moments when he cocks his arm as if to throw one of his axes but he holds back. No reason to lose a weapon overboard or chop hunks out of the ship.

Delkaneth is about to chime in with the new comer when Conner and Tatsuo take the conversation and run with it. Content to listen for the moment he remains seated and silent. Rude perhaps but I will make it up to her later. For now, best to listen and observe. Obviously not going to roll any Perc or Sense Motive on another player but thats the 'type' of thing he's doing and looking for as the others chat.
