On 4/23/07, when you made your transition decision for your remaining issues of Dungeon, you chose to get the first three volumes of Pathfinder. Also on this option was a checked line that stated:

"Start my ongoing subscription to Pathfinder after this volume so I don't miss a single adventure. (You'll be prompted to proceed through the order checkout process to set up your subscription.)"

Please uncheck that line for me. I do not recall checking a subscription line ,or was it one you have to uncheck? I may not have had my reading glasses on if it were fine print. Lol.I remember specifically not wanting to subscribe until I saw the quality of this new product because with 3 months of it I could easily subscribe after I saw it and make a decision without missing an issue. Either way I do not want a subscription to this magazine.

Thank you

Looking at the tag next to your name, at some point you signed up for a month to month subscription. (thats why you got the player's handbook with pathfinder #1) - which is an authorization until you cancel.. I'm not an employee, but thats what I see.

Your kidding ..The tag next to my name...jeesh. They placed that there when they started shipping me a month to month subscription, THAT I DON"T WANT! I chose a conversion of what was owed to me from the defunct Dungeon magazine, not the month to month subscription. If I am being charged for a players handbook, give me one,I didn't recieve that yet. I understand you are trying to help but I have never unknowingly signed up for anything at any point.I did recieve a second copy of Pathfinder #2 today which I hope does not mean I signed up for two subscriptions at some point without knowing it. I believe they just made a mistake. Please let an employee handle this, I am frustrated enough.

Thank you

I was a little surprised to find this email this morning:

Dear [Wampus],
Thank you for your continuing support of Pathfinder! In the next week or so, we're expecting to ship Pathfinder #2 -- Rise of the Runelords Chapter 2: "The Skinsaw Murders" (OGL) Print Edition, the next volume of your subscription. When it ships, we'll be charging a total of $17.79 to your credit card. When we charge your card, you'll be given access to a free PDF edition of the product, and we'll also send a confirmation email to let you know that it has shipped. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. Thanks!

My subscription credit ran out with #1, if I'm not mistaken. Why would you assume I wanted issue 2? It says the order was placed yesterday. I certainly didn't place it. While I admire the production quality of PF, I have no interest in another AP, having just finished AoW. I'll continue my support of your fine company through GameMastery. Please cancel this sub.

Thanks!

I am in a similiar situation.I never recieved an email like that to my knowledge though and I am not interested in a subscription to Pathfinder. I did not authorized a charge in any event. Please cancel this charge and take me off whatever subscription cycle you have put me on.Please clear this up . I need to dispute a second charge. After furthur research it appears I was charged on August 23-$17.27 and again on Oct 6th another $17.27. Uncle, stop charging me and refund my money. I paid an extra amount to finish up the transition. I do not like Pathfinder, the print is too small for my old eyes and I didn't like the first issue storyline.

Thanks!

May your sword never rust! ;) Bless you!

Order Information
Order # 708475
Placed February 20, 2007
Purchaser James Dean

I placed this order online so my subscription wouldn't laspse. I have a receipt and now I have a notice saying my subscription has expired...what gives. I do not wish to miss a magazine as I am running this campaign. Can you fix this and will I get the present issue or ....????

Please help me out. I just had my subscription fixed from being mailed to the wrong address. I also did this online and it went to hell. Is the online system screwed up or am I just rolling back to back 1s?

Just a quick note to let you know I did recieve the replacement issue you mailed but the subscription issue never did arrive. Hopefully issue #142 will make it. I recently moved and changed my address is there a way to confirm that you have my new one? It has been updated here online for awhile now. Should I be requesting #142. I just noticed it shipped on the 14th of last month. I have not recieved it yet.....

Thanks Addax! An helping hand is always nice. Cheers.

Looks like this one isn't coming, this is a first. Could you send me it or kick the mule?

This is the longest I have ever waited. How do I confirm it was shipped or who do I bribe to reship me one? I'm in the states so it may have been shredded with some voting ballots by mistake....

Thanks for the update Xellan. I was working on the old go boom theory...lol. I wondered when it changed.

Ok real quick...Maze spell cast on a guy with a portable hole. New rules mean no explosion yet a Bag of holding inside a portable hole does? Whats the difference between extra dimensional spaces?

I felt I should drop a line to you folks and give you all a hearty pat on the back for one Hell of an issue. My last post was one of disappointment on your Dragon's and Giants adventure. I felt the adventure was more of an outline and the challenges were missing the high level defenses fitting a 17th level plus adventure. Every campaign needs a flow and one tough adventure after another can wear people down though. I now believe the "Giant" adventure is the perfect lead in to Into the Wormcrawl Fissure. The hack and slash of the Giants would be a welcome reprieve before this ultra challenging show stopper. You guys gave this adventure a truly EPIC feel and the whole setting is one of your best. All involved are definitely at the top of their game and have turned Dungeon into a must have subscription! I believe that the Age of Worms will stand out as a new D&D classic! Thank you again and I demand a hard cover publishing of this campaign so my children can also suffer Dragotha

"What the hell?
7 pages of cartoons of fantasy races, monsters, stick figures and photos of minis, how is that black or white?

I am simply amazed anyone took this seriously. It's the most inane, spectacularly ridiculous thing I've seen in quite some time.

But, hey, since we're whining about nothing...
Why are there no avatars for 30-something out of shape white guys? All these buff heroes make me feel insecure...

Oh, and by the way, it's spelled dIversity."
HaHaHA Finally someone with the guts to call it for what it is!Why do we have to jump when someone plays the "race" card even in the most pointless situations? Ban White Dragons! How ridiculous can this get...wait it just did..lol

Well there is nothing like getting an answer from the guy involved in making it. I always add a personal touch to any adventure I use from Dungeon Magazine first off; my complaint is that a structure as large and possibly game altering as the main palace should get more than a two sentence write up. I completely understand letting players "feel" high level and I don't believe I said anything to make you think I was looking for a checkmate game. Intelligent high level monsters especially with a 16th level sorcerer among them shouldn't be played as dumb though. At the very least post some guard dogs or a few alarm spells if you want a walk through, then the players get a feel that they can't autopilot the thing.

Simply put, I feel this adventure wasn't up to your magazine’s standards. Disguising an undead would be tough granted but he is a CR 20 challenge . If the first level Paladin can spot him this spriggan is either worshipping the god of luck or you guys simply didn't do your homework! Finding the spy should take a little effort or attaining high level means about as much as doing it on an online game. Just be persistent and any dummy can pull it off. The players expect a challenge especially from someone trying to trick them right? An ogre in a dress may cut it at first level but come on. If a detect evil found my master spy my players would ride me for the next ten years and rightly so. I find that people that have attained high level want to be challenged and the "complex" game mechanics are part of that. Wizards has published enough books now that complex is now D&D’s middle name. Basic counter measures give a campaign a sense of reality and a black pudding in a shattering container makes more sense than a substance that has no effect on a dragon...a rock would be better for a bastion of dragon slaying.

You didn't comment on the upcoming book detailing this out though...that scares me.

Ok I understand the new magazine had to be smaller but am I the only one that left this last adventure on my nightstand feeling a little cheated? The giants are fun,the dragons are cool but whole swathes of the adventure are left to me to develop with just a simple reference .Achaime isn't even detailed and the treasure is just " amassed by several generations of giant kings"...lol...what?

Another bone I like to pick at. Where is that high level play feel? Where are the giants defenses against invisibility and etheral travel? High level players love this stuff .Carrion crawler heads???? Dragon's are immune to paralysis...no?The Ominious Fabler would get picked off in seconds. A paladin could detect evil, a rogue at that level will see right through him.A ring of chameleon power for disguising an undead? This is supposed to be high level play for gods sake. The Storm Lord's Keep by James Wyatt was much better in my opinion.I couldn't use this adventure without putting in a huge investment in development and fleshing out of the giants. My players would slap this adventure down!

The story was fun I but I would hate to see this magazine go the route of giving adventure outlines instead of useable content. Please don't tell me your gonna flesh it out when you sell it in book form...please.That would nail this coffin shut.

Bah! This site has actually bogged down more! I don't mean to sound harsh but I can fry an egg faster than this site flips pages. I will stop by to check ya out now and again but all my board time will be spent at Monte's site . The folks over there are very well read and it doesn't remind me of a visit to the Dentist! Really guys this site is slower than any other site I visit on the web...period!

Thanks for all the input, real good stuff! This is the system I am going to try this coming weekend...again..lol. My last post vanished or I sent it off to some unknown area of the net.The turn will operate just as it has except for the running. The run will be replaced by a 1 round stun followed by the creature being staggered and exhausted, basically its connection to the Negative plane is reduced. That is a -6 to str. and dex.,1/2 movement and only a single move or standard action.More turns do not stack just restun. I will let ya know how it goes.

Ahhhh, this board is a goldmine! Thankyou all! I am gonna try the stun effect and see how it plays. The Ghost Rider ref. was very cool. Brought back memories..lol. Thanks again my brothers and here is a gift . Check it out hopefully it is new to ya.

Very funny and a little frightening,....

Yup,the whole mindless undead running thing is sorta lame as is the "ggggolly he can cause a burst of positive energy,..Run!" Coming from a Lich or Vampire caster that can vaporize most things it is sorta dumb.My problem is changing it and running something that no one has game tested is a royal pain with a group as large as mine.Anyway if someone has a alternative that has worked I am all ears....

I have been hunting for a better method than the turning presented in the PHB. The whole running away system just never appealed to me.I have seen the 1 x d6 of damage a level system in one of the books I own but never tried it. Anyone play tested it or know of a better method of handling cleric turning ability? Even a home brewed system that makes sense would be nice to see.

Good God is it sloooooo tonight! I'm gonna watch this as I wait!

Now speed this up before I sic a varsity football team on ya all!

::Thank you Sir may I have another!:: Lol,well I await the article like a kid waiting on Xmas, till then I wing it.I think the Barghest could make pretty good villians myself. With the yugoloths migrating in mass to Gehenna the Barghest would definately lose the alpha predator status and some prime realestate.I have them forming a alliance with the Nighthags(from the yugoloths home plane)to learn more of the yugoloths and to help the Barghest establish more permanent links to the material plane. The Nighthags should be pretty adept at traveling the etheral plane. I also have them pushing the goblin race to embrace lycanthropy to more closely emulate the Barghest and to make the little guys a much more forminable army for the Barghest. Then its either push back on the yugoloths or invade the material plane.Should be fun.

Did anyone see "The Passion of the Christ" when the Roman judge gives the "flip him over we need to do the other side" signal? Ok,I think what your saying is your working on a Barghest ecology but then you don't even give a rough outline in your post,a tidbit nothin? Mr.Roman guy,I don't need more torture drop some details!....please....

I was wondering if anyone has seen a decent development on the Barghest? They come from Gehenna to the prime yet the Manual of the Planes makes no mention of them on Gehenna and there is little else I can find.Has anyone done something good in their campaign with these beasties? Presently I am having them use a Etheral Curtain to enter the plane since they don't seem to have anyway to do it themselves other than blink, which just points me to the etheral plane idea. Any suggestions are welcome as I am having total writer's block and have even considered having the players find interdimensional bus passes on the Barghest's bodies...any and all ideas are welcome! City transit is pretty scary though....

I LOVE this board! Thanks alot! I was doing it wrong. This will make it much more "believable" if you will. After rereading it now I can't believe I missed that....heat of the moment, bad eyesite, old age...dumber than dirt...lol..pick any two. Very cool I go forth armed with my new knowledge.

Anyone else experiencing the rogue bluff check during every encounter every round to get a sneak attack? I have limited it to one time a round for one thing but it really lends itself to abuse.Anyone have creative ways of limiting this or is this new damage pumping rogue the norm and I'm just behind the times?

Well thank you for the quick response! I really think your forums are some of the best the web has to offer. Very little moronic flaming and a well read group of regulars, not to mention a responsive staff managing it.Good to know your working on it. I will put up with the speed ,it's worth waiting for!

Ok,help me out here. I bounce around the web like a goblin on too many haste potions I touch down at Paizo because I love your boards, products ,on and on and it is like landing in molasses. Why is this site so damn slow. Loading ,flipping through pages anything you do is painful. My computer screams so it isn't this end...whats up?This should be a stronghold of super geeks the website should move like it !

Wow,thank you much, everyone. I think I have found a new home for my D&D talk. Great responses quick! The help is appreciated!

I cannot find a reference to swift or immediate actions in the PHB. Where were these at? A book I don't have? ......excuse this knucklehead....

Oh the humiliation of it all...lol.I just moved and I have a pile "o books"here and yes it was the 3.0 MM.I understand now and God bless you for the schoolin'.The timestop and Contingency options will haunt me for the night ...week...month. Man am I glad you guys are not in my campaign! I will now take this knowledge and appear like an all knowing rules God to my unwitting players and pray non of them read this forum. This is why I love D&D and not those unnamed online games! I'm always learning.

Ahhh, makes sense though...My Monster manual states "It can take an extra partial action each round,as if affected by a haste spell." very odd. Ok I follow this but is a "swift action spell" some feat (and from where) or just a spell with a short cast time? How do we get 3 spells in one round if not a feat but if it is a feat then we could do it.....? I've just gone crosseyed Basil!

Quick Question. In issue 337 the sage responds with a yes to a "fiendish "player wanting to shape change into a choker and get 3 spells off in a round...ouch. My question/ The player states"Could you cast a swift action spell in a round when you take an extra standard action?" When in the world can you take a extra standard action???? I am rusty but...huh?
