Daryun is quiet for a frighteningly long time, just staring down at his hands. When he speaks, it's so quiet that there is the briefest of moments where it almost seemed to be imagined.

"oh, they'll pay alright."

Daryun says nothing but looks down at the piece of rope in his hands.

"Which is why they shall soon end." says Daryun, suddenly very serious.

"My father doesn't really care about me, to be honest. He's too busy planning foolish, overly elaborate plans; in other words, he's an idiot."

"and I am here to kill Persians. They killed my friend, and I take that kind of thing personally."

"I was interested in the how, not the why." Daryun shrugged.

"Interesting. How long did it take him to convince the elders that this would be the new way forward?"

"Interesting." said Daryun as he said where indicated.

"What made your grandfather decide to break tradition? I'm sure there were many who were displeased over such things."

A handful of people talk to him all at once confuses Daryun, but none so more than the talking horse. He stares at it for a moment, then shakes his head and says "haven't seen a talking animal before; and no, I'm not the son of a woman. I appeared in my father's chest, from a stone that gave him pain, or so he told me. I had no mother."

Looking at Orda, Daryun says "I have never stolen nor forced a woman, and I don't intend to start now, nor would I break the guest code."

"I meant no offense. It was meant as a jest, and I did not know she was your sister."

He turned to Sehen and said "I meant no offense."

Daryun considered Sechen's words, then said "If you could talk to a horse, and have it talk back to you, would you call it a human? My words were not meant in offense; we are just different beings." in response to Sechen's first statement. In response to the second one, however, he snorts and says "Is that an offer?"

"Prophesy, foresight, salesmanship; it's all the same. The only people who can clearly and truly see the future are the Gods, including my father, may his bowels rot."

Daryun turns and sizes up Num, then says in response to his remark "That's true, there are plenty of bad things about being a god, but none that are easily explained to mortals; still, that's perceptive of one of your kind."

Daryun chuckles and says "I have no connection to prophesy. It's just a way to allow mortals to accept that there are things they don't understand." Daryun runs his hand across his head and adds "Prophesy is done by dusty old men shouting 'I warned you!'." Daryun stared hard at Sechen then added "You're younger than most prophets. Prettier too!"

He then laughs at his own joke.

"I am Daryun, first born - and only born! - son of Erlik, lord of darkness and the underworld, forever may he rot." Daryun expelled a massive wad of spit before continuing: "As you can see Orda Ichen, I lack armor, but as the son of a god no mortal forged weapon can pierce my skin."

Daryun was truly a specimen of man: he stood almost eight feet tall, and it appeared that the concept of body fat was completely unknown to him; muscle was the order of the day. His shoulders were half the width of his body, and tree trunks in the shape of Human limbs extended from his shoulders.

His unruly dark hair was tied in by a small piece of rope at the back of his skull, but like the man's personality, it appears to explode on the other side of the rope. He had shaven recently, but the stubble that threatened to sprout and take hold into a forest of facial hair was currently waging a campaign of terror across his face.Despite all of this, the thing that stood out the most was his eyes, the irises of which were the color of deepest crimson.

True to his word, Daryun had neither armor or weapons; in fact, he wore nothing more than pants that had been cut below the knees and sandals in the style of the Hindi: open toed, with a strap that wrapped around the ankle and then settled into the open space between the big toe and it's nearest neighbor, then a second strap went over the big toe itself.

Daryun carried nothing nothing save a piece of rope that a bell hung from.

For Daryun, this war was not one of vengeance or justice; nor did he care who's ancestor killed someone else's ancestor in a fight over a goat: that was how mortals think, and Daryun is not a mortal.

For Daryun it was about a dog.

His dog, which he simply named Dog, was the first thing Daryun met in this world that took both a liking to and tried to take care of him; it tried to drag him to safety when he passed out on a bender; it brought him food and literally licked his wounds to heal them (such minor cuts and scratches as he received battling with armies).

Dog was truly his best and most loyal friend, a position that none had every truly wanted to fill before Dog.

While the story, if it is to be believed at all, is that the soldiers of The Khwarezmid dynasty had actually killed the beast to eat it, starving as they were.

Daryun woke up the next morning with a hangover and Dog not with him.

He blinked his eyes, confused, then looked around for his friend.

Daryun noticed a campfire in the distance, and ran like a madman towards it. The small squad of soldiers were just disposing of the dog's bones, and Daryun saw two things: the skin of the dog, which stood drying to be used as material for something like a cloak or part of a blanket, and the small bell that hung from a rope that Daryun had tied around the dog's neck, so he wouldn't accidentally strike it while drunk.

What happens next varies depending on who tells the story, but suffice it to say that the dog was those soldier's last meal. They died screaming, but not before they told Daryun whose standard they battled under.

Scratching his chin and smearing the blood of one of the soldiers on his jaw, Daryun recalled something about the Mongolians declaring war on the Khwarezmians. Shrugging, he set off towards their battle camp.

Asking questions as he went, anyone who knew anything was more than happy to share their knowledge, just to get Daryun out of their life locale as fast as possible.

Eventually, Daryun found what he sought, and strode right into the middle of the Mongolian camp.

"Who leads here?" he asked, his eyes a dark crimson.

"I do." replied Jochi, son of Ghengis Khan, as he exited his Yurt to see what all the fuss was about.

"I'm going to kill the Khwarezmians, and I heard you lot have a wish to send them to their ancestors to answer for their crimes. Either fight with me, or stay out of my way."

Jochi regarded Daryun for a moment then asked "How well can you fight?"

In response Daryun simply ripped a rock roughly the size of his head from the earth and tossed with such power that it flew beyond the horizon; such was the speed of his toss that a sonic boom followed in it's wake.

"Very well, let us work together then." was Jochi's only answer.

"Good." was all Daryun said, before finding a place to sit and grabbing a skin of wine to drink.

I'm perfectly fine with doing some RP, and I really like Daryun's build as well =)

No worries. I'm sure I won't be the only person still here next week.

Daryun, Son of Erlik, stands ready as well.

Okay, I have my legendary item added and have modified my stats (mainly carrying capacity) to reflect it. Let's just say that when it comes to carrying objects, I don't think anyone in the group will be able to carry as much as I can.

I believe my submission is now 100% complete.

Probably better to just make some decisions about what you DON'T want to do, rather than what you DO want to do; it's what I ended up doing, and it helped me immensely.

BTW, Sebecloki, were there any issues with my legendary item? If not, I'd like to go ahead and get it incorporated into my alias.

It's part of Amazing Initiative, which all Mythic characters get at like Tier 2 or 3.

You do, you just can't access them all at once.

Speaking of legendary items, here is what I put together. I certainly welcome feedback:

Belt of Walking Mountains:

Description: This is wide Girdle, the front of which is made of Dragon Leather, while the length of the belt is made of the sinew of Dragons.

Legend has it that one day Daryun was walking his dog when one of the massive land Wyrms appeared before him. Daryun calmly tied his dog's leash to a tree before punching the rather rude creature to death for scaring his dog.

Daryun then took a chunk of it's hide and thread sinew through the sides to make a rather impressive girdle, the appearance of which almost screams raw physical power.

Base Legendary Abilities:
*Major Artifact

*Hard to Destroy: must be worn by the physically weakest man in the world who then dies from the strain of trying to lift something. The belt will then shatter into individual strands of rope.

*Mythic Bond: Bonded to one creature at a time, and a creature can only be bonded to 1 legendary item at a time.

*Legendary Power: 6/day

*Legendary Surge: d6/d8

*Purpose: Belt (str- or dex-based skill and ability checks)

*Legendary Item Abilities:
- Adroit (Acrobatics, Climb, Swim; taken three times; can spend a legendary surge to add +20 to a skill check.)

- Everlasting (grants the user limited immortality; user does need to eat, drink, or breathe; immune to effects from extreme heat or cold; user doesn't age)

- For purposes of carrying capacity, the wearer's size is increased by 1 category (can be taken multiple times, to a maximum of colossal; taken 4 times)

- Powerful (adds 2 additional legendary surge per ability; taken 2 times)

I completely forgot about my legendary item. I'll have to give it some thought.

As mentioned above, Daryun is a melee combatant who is pretty impossible to kill (he gets to make an AoO if anyone shoots at him with anything, including spells, to deflect the attack; he's immune to fire, cold, charm, and compulsion, no one can flank him, he's got improved evasion, he's immune to enemy aid other actions, he has DR, and regen).

Daryun claims to be the child of Erlik, and the god of destruction.

He's a mountain of a man who is insanely strong and fast and can snap people in half with his bare hands.

Mechanically, he's a fighter | monk (Guardian | Champion on the mythic side) who just wears pants and sandals (because it's easier to get new sandals when he wears out a pair).

So I got an alt made for Daryun, since I was rereading the creation document and realized I missed some ability scores, so I have calculated them correctly now with annotations on where the bonuses come from.
