no, It was to be expected. It was just unfortunate timing.
Sorry everyone! My area got hit by a hurricane and I've been without power since thursday! it was supposed to go 60+miles west of our area but we got hit dead on. Caught folks by surprise. I also cant login to my account from my phones web browser for some reason. I finally managed to get access to a computer for a day though. And I wanted to let you all know. I hope to have power again by Friday, though it could be as long as next Thursday. If I have time today i'll try to post, but its doubtful.
The Grippli croaks softly before giving a deep bow. Then you have my gratitude. She had long been a blight on my people, and I know I had set out to find and remove that blight. At least, so I believe. I know I was on a quest to find her at the least. Sadly, I fear I fell afoul of her magics and fell under a curse of sorts. I remember little of my time before my quest, and I know not how long I wandered, or would have continued to without your timely aid. That said, her death has done little for my memory, and the only aid I have in regards to my quest is this blank book. He takes a moment to lightly tap the holstered tome on his side. And only because my abilities allow me to see into the books past, to the moment where I was given this tome and told to find this Yoltzin. He pauses a moment as if sighing before shaking his head. However, I did not come here to bore you with tales of my troubles. No, my reason for tracking you down is twofold. The first is a hope that those who defeated the Hag, may be able to break this curse, if indeed that is what this foul affliction is. The second, is to offer my services, both as a warrior, and a scholar. He stands up straight and puts on a more dignified air. I am highly confident in my abilities with a blade, and have an ability to channel magic through objects of import to myself. While I am no wizard, I have plenty of tricks up my metaphorical sleeves. This also allows me to see into an objects past and glean a small moment of its history and import and whether it has any enchantments upon it. Which brings us back to the matter at hand. He looks to each of them and ends on Amideo.
Before you stands a frog, well, a very large at least for regular frogs, bipedal frog. he wears a cape, a fashionable hat with a single feather, and has a rapier clasp to his waist alongside a buckler one might mistake for a dinner plate. Opposite his blade, a relatively large book is strapped into a makeshift holster. He wears what one could surmise to be a sort of leather armor, with an emblem emblazoned on the shoulder guard.
He stands at a mighty 3 feet tall, and upon your group enters takes a courtesy bow before bouncing back up straight. His large, round eyes quickly take you in, and sometimes even seem to be focusing on different people at the same time. Greetings and Salutations to you. I am Dartaniel, Though many have simply referred to me as Frog here. Am I to understand it was you and your group that defeated the Hag Witch of the swamp?
An exotically clothed man in an open chested vest of silken red and black patterns and a large feathered had walks ups. His boots clicking on the hard stone. You all would know him as Dartaniel, or, Dart, as he prefers. He shouts over Sir Ardan, drawing everyone's attention. Hah, is this all?! He gives a sweeping smile to everyone, enjoying as always being the center of attention. This is too easy! I'll be out of these tunnels within the day. Whats more, I'll do it alone. Don't want rumors going around I had to rely on the headmasters son to make it through after all. He gives a quick sly grin towards Daniel and another figure nearby before continuing. But don't you worry my fellows, and, especially my ladies. I'll be waiting at the end with a smile to brighten your moods after you finally manage to make it through. He turns and gives a scan of the other recruits before his eyes fall on... 1d2 ⇒ 1 Catherine, who he gives a wink to before, at the sound of another bell, he boldly strides into the dark tunnel.
Dart notices the knight and walks over. When he gets close the group can feel the breeze flowing around him. His voice is almost noble, and full of confidence. Greetings, I am Dartaniel Lemonte, noble, Sent to help you on your mission. And if there is more than exploration going on, don't worry, now that I'm here it shouldn't be a problem. This bandit shouldn't pose too huge of a problem, exciting even I'd say. You no doubt will find my powers quite useful.
A man with short, ear length black hair waited in the main clearing for the group to arrive. His outfit billowed slowly, and a soft breeze blew through his hair even though there was no wind today. He stood confidently, arms crossed across his chest. His clothes standing out amidst the small crowd around the trading post. A signet ring displayed on his finger. He sighs and complains out loud.
After a few more moments, he stretches his hands out to start manipulating the wind around him into a strong gust.
Dart mocks looking hurt, when his skills are called into question. My oh my, Feisty! I know my way around a brewstand quite well! Hey, you can come back now!....
He takes off down the hall, disappearing into the darkness.
dart makes a sour face when you refer to him by his full name.
but don't you see! It IS urgent, a whole day of boredom is at stake here! Besides, it worked didn't it?! Got all of ya here and listening. And seems I have now charmed two onto tagging along. Besides, you don't want to letnl down your... Future captain do you?
He looks towards daniel as he speaks the word future, emphasizing it.
As you all make your way, stumbling or not, to the meeting room you a greeted by a handsome fellow with a rapier on his waist next to him stands another new knight, you beleive his name was Roryx, then next to him in mithril plate armor stands a blonde man with his hand covering his brow in almost a facepalming expression. ah good good, everyone is here! That means everyone agrees I should be the captain of this team and that you can all follow orders! good, good. he pauses to look around the room. I see some of you still believe to sleep soon? Well, I know the old man told us not to check into this thing before tomorrow but I want to finish it up tonight. See, in the morning we will have to go through all kinds of formalities, then actually search the grounds with everyone running around and it would just be a huge hassle and would likely draw more attention than us just looking around tonight. Besides, if we finish this thing tonight, we can spend tomorrow having fun and not working. So, comon then, put your game faces on, we have a rumor to investigate, and who doesn't like to be a little bad? he looks towards therie and narunith and gives an obvious wink. on the other hand, if the ladies wish to have the fun tonight doing all the formalities tomorrow doesn't sound so bad. |
