I would suggest the following:
Arcane Duelist
Blade Singer
Spell sword
Warmage
The first 3 were Prcs from 3.5 and the last was a variant clase that could be used.
But then again I do need to search for the PDF for the new rules of the Magus so I can see what the new rules are.
