It was a fine day in Qadira, and Damien sat outside his home enjoying a lovely loaf of sourdough with butter. His noble steed Ruby nearby happily munched away on grass.
"That's a good girl. Say Ruby, I've been thinking it's time to take leave. I've heard good things about the Pathfinder Society, and I grow bored of this life."

The two departed Qadira, Damien giving his love to his parents and promising them he'd return.
As he traveled west, he felt himself changing. He isn't sure what caused it, but by the time Damien arrived in Absalom, he was ... different.
"Marx gon' give it to ya, he gon' give it to ya." What sounded like an angry dog was really an oblivious halfling. Damien happily marched through town "Alright Ruby, I think the "Good Lodge" is this way, let's be off. Who knows jus what we'll encounter!"
