Dale sighs in relief, running a hand over the sucker marks on his flesh.
Dale used his training to attempt to wriggle like a wet fish from the grappling tentacles, though this creature was nothing like the men he trained against in his earlier days.
"So...anyone speak dwarven?"
It took longer than expected, but Dale had opened the door, and winced as the brave tall woman was covered in falling rocks, only to shrug off the damage with little injury. "Well this is off-putting..." He muttered, observing the room, when he saw the sword strike at Titania.
Dale shrugged. "Very well, lets head that way."
"Should we split up?"
"Now that is...unsettling. Lets indeed leave this fellow to his repose."
"Let them come, I am ready." Said Dale proudly. Though he really just wanted a chance to nobly slay something. His last attempts had not gone so well.
"Excellent idea Grung! Just go and be sure not to get yourself hanged."
Dale covers his mouth with a cloth and keeps well away from the sorceror. "Yes, it sounds good that he um, he should go."
"And one of masterful craftsmanship, if I am not mistaken"
"But wait...that smell. Smells delicious, but it seems someone has already decided to take up residence here. We should make sure all is safe regardless. We are near potential enemies, even if we sleep outside now. But who would keep such strange companions?"
"I have skill at infiltration, if I may say so myself. I can investigate it, or you can go in swords first if you like, so long as you go first."
Dale looked upwards. "Should I scout ahead?"
The enigmatic rogue had only a moment to wonder at the hobgoblins affinity for the vicious birds before fur and teeth were flying at the group. Dale recoiled momentarily before his instincts kicked in, and he swiftly moved to flank the nearest wolf attacking his comrades, katana raised over his head in the stance taught to him by his dark masters. The smaller twin of the gleaming weapon appeared in Dale's other hand as he closed the gap, not having time to appreciate the regret he felt harming such a majestic creature. "Not smart, puppy!" He raised his katana to strike before it could get another bite in. Initiative:
Dale looked at her in surprise. "Well, well. I know I'm tagging along on your adventure ma'am, but it would likely be better to stay here until the morning. Grim things lurk in the dark hours. But on the other hand it would be nice to have walls at our backs before it gets too dark." He gazed at the ominous tower. "Well, if we are going to do it, I call back of the line. Lead the way, if you are determined to do so" With that, he drew his katana, and a shuriken, and nodded to the others.
"He's done enough. I say let him rest and await our return.
Dale cursed in surprise and ran cautiously to the mouth of the pit.
Dale shrugged. "Just a personal thing, I guess. Take what you want."
Dale weezed and staggered to his feet, coughing. "What do you think this all means? Bodies being guarded by a strange monster? Well, at any rate, the cleric could probably ease their souls to the next life" He glanced at Darrid, truthfully not wanting to handle the bodies with his own hands.
Dale saw the cleric and the beast exchange bloody blows, and reacted quickly. Wordlessly advancing with a grim look on his face, he raised his blades into an attack stance, his mind going back to harder and darker times.
Dane, seeing the tenseness of the woman, slowly and quietly drew forth his katana, and, with some more effort, his wakizashi from its place in his pack. "What, what is it? What is this place?" He whispered.
Dale had missed the Wyvern, so great was his slumber.
Dale laughs and relaxes. The thing was too pitiful to fear. He simply decides to sample the razorcrow and hunker down for the night.
Dale stares stupidly at him for a moment. "Food?"
Dale bowed slightly in thanks. I appreciate it good sir. Though I long for a brief rest in civilized lands, the idea of a plague does worry me.
Dale stopped several paces away and raised his hands harmlessly.
Dale's eyes widened, and he directed his gaze at the female, who seemed to be the talker of the group, or leader, he couldn't tell. "Oh! So plague has come to town has it? That is a very noble thing you are doing. Out of the goodness of your heart, or is there some reward at hand?" Falcon's Hollow had been the next settlement Dale was making for, so this news was worrysome. "Oh, where are my manners. Dale Anders! Professional pilgrim, pleased to meet you."
As Dale got closer, he tried to be cautious, but look relaxed and aimiable. At closer range, he saw that one of the companions was a bookish looking fellow, but the other two somewhat intimidated him.
"So sorry, didn't mean to startle you good folk. I'm just passing along aimlessly, ya see, on a long pilgrimage. What are you people doing in these parts?"
Dale didn't move a muscle from where he had crouched behind a shrub.
His curious sword protruded from its shoulder-wrapped sheath in the corner of his eye, while its smaller companion was hidden underneath Dale's clothing. In his hand casually lay the unusual sharpened pieces of metal that he had been trained in how to throw, simply as a precaution. The average common folk would likely not even perceive it as a weapon. But the hunters at least looked personable. And their voices indicated that they had some good stuff nearby, hopefully. Dale laughed at himself, thinking about how terribly he violated his old survivalist training.
It wasn't arrogance, he just had that sense that nothing bad was going to happen to him, because enough already had. He would probably go and say hello in a minute. He reminded himself that not every creature in creation had alternate motives and a knife behind their back.
Got everything but fluff now. Looks exactly as avatar.
Dale Anders Human, Ninja Where exactly is the Hollow located on the map, and what human subtypes would be logical to be in the area, so I can be true to fluff? Any info on ninjas in golarion? I just want to have as much info so I can base my stuff around it, and if the human subtypes have any mechanical abilities or if its purely fluff.
