Dakka has four rings worth around 10 gp a piece and a masterwork horse chopper. He intends to sell these at the Dusk Market for whatever he can and split the gold. His share of the funds will go toward procuring as much ammunition as he can buy. With this done he will be ready to go.

"I'm not sure what uniform could conceal the fact there is a tengu among you. Dakka shrugs.

"But if we are to make a morning raid I may have to slink of with my share of the captured goblin trinkets to the Dusk market and buy a few more cartridges."

I'm here just very, very tired. I work in retail, things are a bit crazy at the moment. I'll post as soon as I can think of something coherent.

Dakka eyes a beet dubiously, tapping at it with his beak. He bobs his head at the gnome."Tengu mingle very little in Westcrown these days. We are familiar with your people however. We respect that your people too live far away from where you once called home, farther than even us."

Hmm, for my people something like "Warmers of the Roost" or "Bright Object Holders" would be most inspiring, but I suspect that will not be true for everyone. I would avoid including an explicit political sentiment into your moniker. I suggest something that implies a philanthropic agenda would be best. Dakka speaks while hunting around for the leftovers Janiven mentioned.

Dakka takes sometime to wash, fretting dismally over the condition of the dye job on his feathers. After he's done he slips into the common room, doing his best to nab some victuals and eavesdrop on the ongoing conversation without attracting attention.

Dakka grabs the rings off the fallen goblin. He's not familiar with the goblin's weapon but he snags it to be on the safe side. Perhaps it is worth a few coins.

"Indeed. The only thing better than leaving this sewer would be to have never been here."

Dakka's magpie instincts are activated by the sight of shiny objects!
In spite of his excitement he waits for Yuron's spell to expire and carefully inspects both the fallen goblin and the chest before touching anything.

Isn't reloading a light crossbow a move action? I think Yuron could have taken a shot there.

Dakka takes a moment to reload his weapon.

"Yes we must move swiftly. I hope that last one is not bringing friends."

To Morosino ~
"Come boy, the danger is passed for now and these goblins do not amount for much. We will not let them harm you. Save your worry for the Hellknights and let it propel you forward."

Dakka hurries to help Doran clear the way.

Dakka sighs. Tengu, always picking through trash.

He shoulders his musket and bends to help the others, using his club as a lever if need be.

"Keep a wary eye for what might be on the other side. Maybe toss a light-pebble when we have an opening?"

-- To Siliquai --
"I am from here, or at least from our little part of it. tengu often inhabit the spaces humans abandon. Many tengu live in the Shackles and the Sodden lands, but those places are in many ways worse than this one, so we have migrated around the Inner Sea. This is easy because in the Shackles it is believed tengu absorb bad luck, and so sailors take them on as mascots. And so tengu came to Westcrown and established a rookery, just a few clusters of abandoned buildings."

--To the group at large--
"Only in human settlements are the tengu tolerated, but often only barely so. We remain outsiders here little seen or thought of. Our small size, small numbers, unfamiliarity with the city, and endemic poverty make us targets for criminals and corrupt officials alike. In another place that could be dealt with over time. but here there seems no end to the crime, to the corruption, and the creeping darkness. The tengu will be swallowed up on our own, and no one will remember us. I am convinced there must be a head to the snake that constricts this city, and I need help to cut it off."

Dakka scoops up some stew and begins to eat cautiously at first, then ravenously, he was truly not sure where his next meal was coming from. Wine presents a greater challenge for a tengu, requiring him to awkwardly dip his beak into the cup.

*Bawk!* -- The tengu equivalent of a burp is a kind of high pitched squawk.

"I appreciate your generosity. Full bellies are rare in the rookery these days."

Male Tengu Gunslinger (Musket Master) 1 Hp: 10/12 AC 15 F +3 R +5 W +2 Init +5 Per +8

The little tengu unlimbers his musket so he can sit and hops into a chair, weapon cradled in his arm. He looks around with birdlike rapidity, his gaze fixing and alighting from patron to patron.

"My name is Dakka. I am a son of the tengu rookery."

To Yuron. "If your time here has already been hard, I am sorry. Dread and fear walk openly in our streets."

"I am here because Janiven has said to me she would take back the city. I wonder from who?"

Dakka cocks his head to the side again.

"And for who?"

Male Tengu Gunslinger (Musket Master) 1 Hp: 10/12 AC 15 F +3 R +5 W +2 Init +5 Per +8

Dakka only nodded at the strange woman as she walked away, but he continued to stare thoughtfully in her direction for a while after.

Dakka arrived outside Vizio's early and spent some time scouting the environs, noting the comings and goings of patrons and watching the flow of activity in the area.

A few minutes after four he approached the entrance and slipped in as unobtrusively as he could.

"Out of respect for your actions yesterday, I have come." His voice is high and raspy.

He looks around and cocks his head to the side."Are these your free-thinkers?"

I've got the greenlight as well. I've got nine musket shots and five silver rattling around in my pocket left to spend!

Hi! I'll get cracking on my sheet soon as I can.

Starting gold 5d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 2, 2) = 7 x10 = 70

Tengu aren't supposed to be rich anyway.

Oops! I left my trait out. Sorry.

Trait:

I was going to go with Conspiracy Hunter: Stealth. If Dakka is going to change things, he needs to know what lurks at the heart of it all.

Dakka
Male/Tengu/Gunslinger (Musket Master)

Looks like this one has really brought out the gunslingers. I may as well add mine to the mix.

Background:

In the cities around the Inner Sea tengu often reside in "rookeries" nestled within the more rundown portions of larger human communities. In it's diminished state Westcrown is a natural place for a rookery, offering a home for migrating tengu seeking respite from the lawlessness of the Shackles.

With their sometimes deserved reputation for thievery tengu in Westcrown mostly stay quiet and keep thier heads down, but that doesn't stop trouble from finding them. The miniority status of Tengus has made them a frequent target for extortion and intimidation from Westcrown's criminal element, and they find little sypmathy from the authorities. The tengu are not helpless however, they have
a history of martial training, and one tengu has chosen to emulate their god of wind and thunder with gunpowder.

Clever artisans in the rookery have restored a junked musket to
a mostly working condition and entrusted it to keen-eyed young Dakka to protect their community. Dakka hopes that by thinking bigger and working to push back crime everywhere in Westcrown he might be able to help establish a legitimate postion for the tengu in the society at large.

Appearance:

Dakka is 4'9" tall. He has black feathers and a curved black beak. He typically applies red and blue dye to the tips of his feathers and likes to glue little decorative stones and cheap glass jewels to his leather armor in a spiral pattern in order to honor the tengu patron deity by evoking the image of a hurricane.

Lucky Dice:

1d20 ⇒ 16
