Mouse

Next time I think I would like to use a mouse of my own. But first let other people have it's turn.

Mouse

Now that we are at the end of the scenario...
I have to say I enjoyed the game, and learning the rules was very nice.
But... I am about to start two campaigns, so I will be hard pressed for time. And I see a lot of people in the recruitment thread asking for a chance.
So I think the best I can do is to quit while I am ahead, say thanks to all, specially our DM, and let others enjoy Mouse Guard.
Thank you very much for the enjoyable game.

Mouse

Dain again? I have already tried to heal Robin's leg.

Mouse

Dain will try and heal Robin's leg.
"Let's see this! We can't go all the way back with your leg like that, do we?"
He has Healer (2). He also has "resources" as his special abiltiy. How can he use them?
Heal dice: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3

Mouse

Dain shakes his hand.
"Be safe, and congratulations to your daughter."

Mouse

"I am glad you come to your senses. And, for your daughter's wedding, what about a escort of Guard mice for her ceremony. I guess she will feel good about it. Do you like the idea?"

Mouse

Finish him off Baron!

Mouse

Charge!!!
Baron Attack
Ingrid Attack
Dain Attack

Mouse

Dain puts his paw on the carpenter's shoulder.
"Are you willing bet a father against a chair? Think in the hurt it will cause to her."

Mouse

"Perfectly said Robin. That is what being a guard is about. Protect the others..." - he eyes the carpenter - "even from themselves."
Aid dice: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Mouse

Ok, let's change that one to maneuver...

Mouse

Well, I think we need offense to win this one...

Mouse

I hope this does it...
Dain Attack
Robin Attack
Ingrid Attack

"There could be all the honey in the lands there, it is not worth dying for."
Dain Attack: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 3) = 9

Mouse

And Dain helps too...
"Is not pretty..."
Help Dice: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Mouse

Let's go for the "kill"!
Robin Feints!
Baron and then Ingrid Attack

Mouse

Ok, let's tap the Nature! How do I "use" the persona point?
Nature Dice: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 3, 6) = 15

Mouse

Dain takes his spectacles off, and looks at Martin in the eye.
"Walnutpeck is gone. Lost. But your life, and the life of your family endures. You have a new home now. It is time to let go, and make a new living, new heirlooms, here and now."
Dain Attack: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 1) = 9
No go... Anyone has that "persuader" skill? Can Dain try to use his "survivalist" one?

Mouse

Dain, deadly serious, looks at Baron with a stern eye.

Mouse

Dain seems unimpressed.
"Baron, please explain Martin why he shouldn't kill himself trying to get whatever item from weasel's lands."

Mouse

About who attacks, Baron (as you said), Ingrid and Dain last.
Can we help? I roll if that is the case:
Help dice: 1d6 ⇒ 2

2 people marked this as a favorite.
Mouse

Actions... Let's see how this works...
Attack
Attack
Attack

Mouse

Dain doesn't have persuasion... Does his Rational Trait helps?
His will score is 4.
About the help rolls:

Baron, Ingrid and Robin's help: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 5) = 15
So I guess our initial disposition is 7
Our goal: Persuade Martin to make a new heirloom for the wedding, and not go looking for the old one.

Mouse

"Correction. You knew the land. Now is weasel's land."

Mouse

Dain removes his glasses, and massage his temples.
"No. And you should not go there either. I think your daughter will prefer to have his father attending the ceremony, alive, than a heirloom."

Mouse

"Good day, What can we help you with?"

Mouse

Dain seems proud of his team, having recovered the mail, and in way to finish the mission.

Mouse

Dain gets the Halberd

Mouse

Dain smiles.
"Be careful!"

Mouse

Dain ponders...
"It is our mission to deliver the mail, but we are not requiered to die in the process. But a mission is a mission, and this, the first of the year, is a very important one."
He looks up.
"We should as least try, but without taking excessive risks."

Mouse

About the compromise... what about some mail pieces are dropping off, so we can follow the raven, trying to retrieve the mail?

Mouse

That was a success? :S

Mouse

I will use Nature
Dain scurries around, trying to avoid the bird's attack.
Nature: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 1, 1) = 5
:S

Mouse

Ok, let's go with a defend, trying to keep the mail away from the crow.

Mouse

I will tell what I want to do, and I hope you can help me "tie it down" to the mechanics.
- First action: I want Dain to use his Nature(Mouse) to hide, together with the mail, taking it out of the raven's reach. Is it Maneuver?
- Second, Robin do a Maneuver again.
- Finally, Baron attacks again.

Mouse

Go team!!! Those are 5 successes already! I'll let Ingrid do the honors on the last one.

Mouse

And the raven gets a -1 on top of that?

Mouse

Dain closes up to help Robin.
"Be careful, mind its wings."
Help dice: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Mouse

So Ingrid has 3 successes, plus 2 from the help, right? 5 total against the raven's 4?

Mouse

Dain moves behind Ingrid and Baron, waving his sword.
"Robin, come! If we keep together the raven will have a harder time attacking us!"
Helpings: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Mouse

Testing Fighter (3) + 3 helping dice.
Test: 6d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 5, 3, 4) = 18
2 successes, plus 4 health, 6.
About the actions, they would be:
Ingrid Defend.
Robin Maneuver.
Baron Attack.

Mouse

Dain's goal is to chase the raven away, while keeping the mail safe.

Mouse

Dain will help too, with his own Pathfinder skill. So you get yet another 1d6. So in total you get 5d6. I think. That means we can not get a Pathfinder 6 test done?

Mouse

Dain gets close to Robin.
"Weather is important in what we do. If you know the weather, you have half the road advanced, without getting out the door. Do you feel like finding a path for us to follow?"

Mouse

"Good work Ingrid. Tenderpaw, what do you think we should do? And remember the saying 'After winter no land is patrolled land'."

Mouse

Dain arrives carrying the mail bag. Every year the cold reach a little deeper in his bones, the rest helps a little less.
He sits, and cleans his spectacles.
"Greetings, Guards. Conrad, my mentor, always told me that mail delivery was the life blood of the territories, something all of us take for granted, except when it doesn't happen. And this, the first delivery of the year, is important. A way to open a new season. I expect from all of you to take it seriously, and strive to do your best. Any questions? Ingrid, do you have a route ready for us?"
