I have been really busy and slow to post for a while now. I love the group and the story but unfortunately is may be best if we put it aside.
Destiny Pool: 0 Light / 7 Dark - Kessel's Folly Stats & Deckplan
sorry to see everyone go. This may be good timing anyway as I have been really busy recently.
Destiny Pool: 0 Light / 7 Dark - Kessel's Folly Stats & Deckplan
After several days in hyperspace you emerge near the planet of Bespin. A short flight later and you are parked on one of the landing pads that dot he surface of the giant floating city. The dock master and his crew meet you in an attempt to sell you fuel and supplies.
Destiny Pool: 0 Light / 7 Dark - Kessel's Folly Stats & Deckplan
Your search for the arms dealer, Dralin Starwind, comes up with many different and sometimes opposing pieces of information but it seems he is often on Bespin and frequents cloud city. It seems he is a major player in a trading consortium called the Steel Sky Guild. The SSG deals in all sorts of trading goods mostly legal but it appears some not so much. sorry for the slow response

Juviest's shot hits the creature as it rears back and swings its massive bloody arm striking Juv and sending him prone. 17 damage pre soak. I flipped a destiny point to light... Djebelle it just so happens there is one light side point for you to use to use a dark side point... The creature suddenly rears back with a look of fear and turns to flee.
unless you have any more business here i would say you are all aboard.

the beast lunges forward and is caught by thrask's blades. the beast struggling now to continue its attacks lands a blow on Thrask sending my flying. ugh 16 damage pre-soak and you are prone near the landing ramp. I also used a light side destiny point on your behalf as you stand seemed to be very dramatic. Juviest's shots ring out hitting the beast once. rolled upgraded difficulty die, take one strain from threat and the second weapon does not fire. The creature does what seems like a double take as Djebelle concentrates on her task. you can only cloak one person until you get upgrades. take one strain back and you only use one destiny point and gain one conflict. who do you want to cloak? the other creatures start jumping on the ship and begin tearing at anything they can. Aneira can make it to the ship in one more round.

aneira:
yes that was a tough one, It is hard to find riddles that are not overly easy or have nothing to do with the future. using her skills and or reaching out to force were what I was hoping you would do.
The final led lights green and a compartment opens below the terminal. Inside lays a ilum crystal wrapped in soft leather. everyone but aneira: The beast leaps into the air as it closes on the party. Lt's blaster strikes the creatures flesh seeming doing little damage but the creature winces. It lands wrapped in Thrask's grip. It rakes it's claws against Thrask as he drives his blades home causing the creature again to wince and let out a shriek. Juv hits the creature with blaster fire.
you can tell you are not doing much damage but your crits may be having an effect. Kara's crit was "Minor nick" but it adds 10 to Thrask's roll making it "At the Brink" instead of winded. Thrask you take 17 damage pre-soak, ouch With the creature's shriek the smaller beasts pause their assault.
Destiny Pool: 0 Light / 7 Dark - Kessel's Folly Stats & Deckplan
range is currently long, but it will close to medium at the end of the round aneira:
The second LED lights green. The screen changes again showing another puzzle. What are the next three numbers in this series? 4, 6, 12, 18, 30, 42, 60, 72, 102, 108, ?, ?, ? aristi:
they are right outside the ship and the floor of the cavern is basically flat everyone but Aneira: the large beast jumps to the ground and begins moving at a high rate of speed toward you and the ship. The smaller ones also begin their rush. the beast is also large so a size category larger than a humanoid.
Destiny Pool: 0 Light / 7 Dark - Kessel's Folly Stats & Deckplan
djebelle:
you can buy one if you can find one and risk detection, or make one out of parts. Aneira:
A green led lights up on top of the terminal, you now notice two other lights are dim. The screen changes again showing another puzzle. Feed me and I live, yet give me a drink and I die, what am I? everyone else: all the close creatures killed and the ship's gun picking off the creatures gathering on the sides of the canyon, things seem to look under control. A loud shriek, louder than the others you have heard can signal only one thing, the leader has arrived. A creature twice the size of the other appears at one of the openings high above the ship. With it's yell it and a mass of the smaller creatures start leaping down the walls. [ooc]the boss creature is above the sight line of the ventral turret so Aristi cant hit it yet.
Destiny Pool: 0 Light / 7 Dark - Kessel's Folly Stats & Deckplan
djebelle:
in the chest is a ilum crystal wrapped in a piece of soft leather. Aneira:
The screen changes again showing a puzzle. In a closed box there are 10 orange balls and 10 green balls. If you can only pick up one ball at a time and will not know the color until you have pulled it out. How many balls do you have to take before you're guaranteed to have at least one matching pair? everyone else: Juv kills the creature on him and nearly kills the one pinning Kara, Kara kills her attacker.
Thrask dispatches his pursuer and darts for the ship. The ship's cannon vaporizes another creature. The remaining 3 creatures start howling. Their cries are answered from the cliffs as more of the monsters begin to emerge.

sorry for posting so little, it has been a rough couple of months. Djebelle:
you pushed down the fear the figures wash away and the room returns to the bare stone walls of the temple with the door you entered behind you and a chest on the floor in the far corner. Aneira:
A drawer slides open from beneath the blank terminal with a click, an input tablet is inside. The screen changes to a login screen. Thrask:
As you back out of the cave and into full sunlight you hear a loud sound form the ship, was that music, followed by the loud shock of the cannon firing. You turn back to the creature just in time to dodge it's leap. Aristi:
you hit, the ship suffers one strain Kara,Juv,Aristi:
The creatures jump sideways when the noise rings out. A few seconds later with a flash the dorsal turret incinerates one of the charging creatures.
One of the creatures leaps on Kara knocking her down 6 damage pre-soak. The injured creature leaps on Juviest knocking him down also causing one of his pistols to slide out of arms reach. 6 damage also pre-soak, rolled a triumph hence the weapon drop. In the distance Thrask emerges from a cave and a creature leaps past him. The remaining 4 creatures turn to the ship and hesitate seemingly deciding whether to attack or flee. 7 creatures remain, one is injured on Juv, one is on Kara, one is near thrask, the other 4 are in short rage to Juv/Kara/ship and med to thrask. thrask is right, the creatures are sil 1 and the ship is sil 4 making it a daunting task at 4 purple dice. ship weapons do x10 damage to persons and the opposite is true
Destiny Pool: 0 Light / 7 Dark - Kessel's Folly Stats & Deckplan
Kara, Juv, Aristi:
Kara's blaster makes short work of two of the creatures.
Juv finishes off the injured creature and damages another. creature's actions pending Aristi.
Thrask:
you can use three adv to give you +1 melee defense for a round.
The beast bites down again and begins to rake you with it's claws. 6 damage for bite, 10 damage for claw (all pre-soak). you are no longer pinned Djbelle:
Through the scanner you can make out 3 figures, one in black with a long lowing cape and 2 dressed in gleaming white, the pit of your stomach starts to drop as you realize Darth Vader is walking toward you. [ooc]make a fear check, using cool or discipline vs 1 rd and 2 purp. Aniera: the code running across the screen seems to be random with one character appearing more than the others. The nearly blank terminal only has the blinking input curser
Destiny Pool: 0 Light / 7 Dark - Kessel's Folly Stats & Deckplan
Kara, Juv and Aristi:
Kara's shot hits true and knocks the creature on it's back, though it quickly right itself and continues to charge. That is when you notice that you are being charged by several creatures from all sides.where did the crit come from? Juv's shots nearly finishes off a second creature. creatures are now at short range
Aristi:
the blips are creatures emerging form the rocks and charging Kara and Juv. you can see the them visually now also. you can fire the weapons but you will need to leave the cockpit and go to the turret. I would call it a hard (3 purple) unskilled (green only) intellect check to know when to queue the "music" to scare the beasts. Thrask:
The slice of the blade lops the creature's head off sending it spinning across the cave. you retrieve the head and make it nearly out of the cave. the second beast pounces, its claws digging into your flesh as the the beast's mouth clamps down on your shoulder knocking you to the ground and locking on. claws 8 damage pre-soak, bite also 8 damage pre-soak. you are knocked prone and are ensnared by the bite (cant take a maneuver for one turn) Djbelle:
down the passage into the floor the light begins the dim. after what seems 100 yards in you can no longer see the way you came. ahead a dark figure crosses the path, barely noticeable, and the sound of several sets of boots clicking on the stone floor echo through the passage. Aniera: Both terminals are powered up. The screen with the endless stream of characters seems to be a code of sorts. the other has a blinking input curser but know noticeable input devices.
Destiny Pool: 0 Light / 7 Dark - Kessel's Folly Stats & Deckplan
Thrask:
out of the dark a single creature moves into your view around 20 meters away. A second later you are blindsided as another creature leaps from the right onto you. 8 damage pre-soak Djebelle:
"You must gain control over you emotions in order to steel yourself form the dark side. Continue the path ahead and we will meet again." The figures and room fades back to the plain stone walls of the temple and a rough cut passage leads down into the floor. Aneira:
Beyond the door lies a small chamber with two terminals in the middle. One of the screens displays an endless stream of numbers and letters. The other is blank. Kara and Juv:
The shrieks are starting to seem less random and more like communication. you see creatures break from the cover of the cave openings then dart back in out of sight. they are moving on four legs but appear as if they could walk on just two. Kara:
your battle hardened intuition is screaming at you. They are probing, these are intelligent creatures and they are about to attack. Aristi: blips of movement appear here and there on the sensors then quickly disappear back into the rock work. In a seemingly intelligent and ordered fashion, 10 creatures emerge simultaneously from different directions and begin rushing Kara and Juviest

Djebelle:
"Yes, this test is over but the question of passing still remains unknown. You have more power than you know and you must control you emotions. Does the idea of "Kara" saving you make you angry?" Aneira:
"yes, we have been waiting for you. Your trial awaits you." The figure motions to a door. Thrask:
As you slip deeper into the cave you loose track of your quarry but in losing the tracks you realize there are more than one. Aristi:
You are able to locate Djebelle inside the temple standing still, Aneira is standing inside a cave with wait appears to be at least on other humanoid. Thrask has moved deep into a cave, the rock is starting to interfere with your ability to sense his location. on the chasm floor the screeches are starting to increase in number and intensity.
Destiny Pool: 0 Light / 7 Dark - Kessel's Folly Stats & Deckplan
Djebelle:
As you near the figures one of them with arm still outstretched touches your hand. For a moment you feel a wave of happiness our over you. The figure changes shape and the room changes to a somewhat familiar well appointed room. The figure that is holding you hand is now Benjamon. He stands before with a smile on his face. You realize a that this is just before your first kiss together. The second figure stands watching still shrouded in the cloak. Aneira:
As you enter the cave and your eyes adjust to the darkness you see a figure in the distance. As you approach you see a human figure in the cloak of a Jedi. Aristi:
yes you can view out of the ship. A third scream shouts out from yet another direction. This time a reponse from the first two directions. Thrask:
You see a quadrupedal figure scurry from the light back into the dark of the cave and then let a shriek in response. Is juv with Kara, thrask, or off on his own?

djebelle:
The door opens and the two figures continue their argument not noticing you have entered. moments later the female figure turns toward where you are standing. You just now realize that they are wearing robes with hoods covering their heads. the female figure raises her hand and beckons you to come closer and male figure also turns toward you. Unable to see any face or features in the hood due you feel the urge to move closer. Aneira:
As the LT finishes her story you sense a being inside one of the nearby caves. As you turn to face toward the opening a voice speaks to you, "Come to me, alone." those outside:
As almost on queue after the LT finished her story, a shriek rings out from one of the caves. A second later another from a different direction. Sorry, everyone in my house is sick at them moment.
Destiny Pool: 0 Light / 7 Dark - Kessel's Folly Stats & Deckplan
Djebelle: The voices sound familiar, a male and female arguing about paying rent and selling possessions to scrape by. you notice a hole in the door, a keyhole? Suddenly the temple is your childhood home and through the keyhole your see your parents arguing over money. A sight you have seen before, a fight you have heard before. Emotion washes over you.
I dont have much on your background so run with it.
Destiny Pool: 0 Light / 7 Dark - Kessel's Folly Stats & Deckplan
Djebelle:
The temple is dark, dusty and smaller inside than you would expect. As your eyes grow accustomed to the darkness you notice another door straight in fornt of you. The door looks out of place with the rest of the temple as it is made of plasteel. Noises start to emanate seemingly coming from behind the door. Aristi:
Your scan came back clean, nothing alive within range Meanwhile outside the temple: With Djebelle inside the temple and the heated discussion over you have a chance to notice the wind has subsided a bit and with it a calm silence has settled into the chasm. That is when you see a pile of bones near the chasm wall.

outside the ship the air is hot and dry with a slight hot breeze. For the first time you notice the canyon walls have cave openings, more than you can count. The building, clearly what was a temple, is mostly square at the base 30 meters per side. It rises in a slightly tiered ziggurat like shape for 30 meters coming to a weathered point. A single opening is evident in the structure a small door sized opening facing toward the open chasm floor. Kara:
A sudden sense strikes you, you are not alone. The eyes are everywhere. A whisper, "do not enter", or was it the wind playing to your naturally suspicious mind. Thrask:
You have deep sense of dread about the temple and a strong feeling that you should not enter. You also feel the scorekeeper is watching you at this moment. Aniera:
You feel a thought, almost a voice, run into your head that you should not enter. Aristi:
You have deep sense of dread about the temple and a strong feeling that you should not enter. Juviest:
You have deep sense of dread about the temple. Every instinct you have honed tells you not to enter and to get off this rock. It appears to be an ancient temple, you have never seen or heard of anything specifically like this but these types of temple are littered on every planet you have ever been on. djebelle: a voice as clear as day, "enter." Not a voice you know but you sense you can trust it. Again, "Enter, alone"

Several days later, with a lurch, you exit hyperspace. Inside a ring of asteroids lies the star of Triton with a lone planet in its orbit. As you approach the planet from the night side you see very little light on the sparsely populated surface. A swing to the day side revels the planet is mostly hard pan desert. A quick scan shows the coordinates will bring you to a gaping tear on the surface. The large chasm could fit over 50 of your ship and drops over 600 meters below the surrounding terrain. the bottom is relatively flat and a single structure stands near one of the walls.
Destiny Pool: 0 Light / 7 Dark - Kessel's Folly Stats & Deckplan

As the discussion continues, a serving droid appears with a tray of roasted meat and assorted vegetables. The thick smell of spices and juice brings a smile to the LtT, face as he says, "Ah, here it is. Food is all we live for out here on this ice berg. As for a job, as I a stated, I have nothing to offer other than a place to land and support. I can however pay you for supplies and I could use any every weaponry you came across. I have heard the name "Dralin Starwind" bantered about along with the words Bespin and weapons. Maybe he has something we can use." With this he take a bite of the wampa and seems almost happy for the first time since you meet him. for a recap. you seem to have 3 hooks: get weapons, Syrus, and Djebelle's contact.

"I know nothing about Syrus other than what I am told, which is that he is a relentless investigator. If he catches wind of our new base here...well I cant even think what would happen. Which leads me to the specforce team, they have been ordered to a new mission somewhere where they cant help me."
His stare completed, he turns back to you with a smile, "So have you ever tired roasted wampa?" djebelle: Syrus is assinged to the Anoat sector. He has a love of rich food so he frequents Bespin.
Destiny Pool: 0 Light / 7 Dark - Kessel's Folly Stats & Deckplan
A few minutes go by and the commander returns, a tall slender human man with dark hair and a scar on his right temple. With his return the smell of tabac starts to fill the room. "I am Lt. Jerex Durame, we thank you for the much needed supplies. The dock-master and quartermaster will sort out the payment. What have you heard about the imperial's movements? I feel like I am target out here with little support and less information. I keep getting intel from local contacts about an ISB Captain named Thalo Syrus. Me and my team are starting to get concerned." With that he turns to the steward and take a small cup with steam drifting from the top. With a sip he mutters to the steward, or maybe himself, or possible to no one at all. "I wish the specforce guys were still here. "

Inside you see a crude, but fully functioning, landing dock. Several small transports as well as a large one are nestled about the cavern.
