Having recently signed up with the Blood Hawk company of Byron the Bowman, you have arrived with the rest of your squad in the capital city of Nex, Quantium. You've been billeted in an old tenement building in one of the seedier parts of the capital city and been given a room that you share with another of your squad mates.

You've got a bit of time to settle into your rooms before the Corporal holds her first squad briefing.

This is the main OOC thread for the Mercenary Company game.

All out of character discussion that isn't squad based goes in here.

Character Generation can be done however you like, there is a 25 point buy limit for abilities if you aren't rolling them and you need to post what books you are using and the page number. Hitpoints start at max. Maximum of 2 Traits to start with.

Is there any interest in a game centered around a mercenary company getting up to all kinds of shenanigans?

Players start as recruits, 1st level chumps, and earn their way up the ranks through a series of adventures. Haven't really got a concrete idea about what the merc company is like so if people are interested and got suggestions I'm all ears.

Also if people have suggestions for adventures, plot lines and other stuff of that nature then feel free to speak up in this thread.

I'm inspired by the Black Company, Malazan Empire and other books of that nature, but I'll probably cut back on the grimness and bring more of the laughy times, but not to much laughy times which would just be ridiculous.

So long story short if your interested shout out here and we'll have a brain storming session and come up with something that should be fun to play.
