Here's the link to the Discussion

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Sure -- when do you think Ebiten will be ready?

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Not yet! It would be great if you can make it.
I don't think Jacka-Lope is checking here, but I think he's anxious to get started -- he was sick last week, and someone appears to have dropped out, both of which have delayed our start.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Thanks! I had fun with this one too, and I'm sad I can't continue with it. I'll be sure to let you know if I ever look into the 2024 rules for D&D and can manage the other life/work stuff to rekindle this campaign.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

I dunno if anyone is still checking this page, but fyi that Jacka-Lope's game hasn't started yet and is looking for another 1-2 players.

Hope you are all having a great start to the new year!

Braith Ablewillow wrote:
I think Braith would benefit from the Amulet or the Gem. How DO we want to split the treasure?

My recommendation is that you each take one magic item and one potion, then divide the cash by 4.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Also, I'm happy to pivot to my cleric character, if that's going to be a better fit for the group. I haven't played him before, but I think I've managed to update to Remaster rules.

No problem for me to start any time. I'll be on holiday for two weeks starting next week, but we aren't going anywhere and have few plans this year for the holidays.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Oh, RE: the treasure, I guess I should mention that this was not an AL adventure, so this is meant to be split among the 4 or 5 of you (depending whether you plan to give Gideon a share).

(I mention bc in AL, if your party gets, say a +1 dagger, then everyone gets a +1 dagger -- hopefully there's at least one magic item that appeals to each of you)

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Uhh... good question.

The change to the rules is one reason why I don't think that I'll be able to carry on with this campaign (in addition to just being completely buried by work and life stuff) -- I haven't been able to keep up with the rule changes, and I don't have it in me to buy another book from WotC. I mean, I haven't in a while, which is why I wanted to keep this game to the "PHB + 1" rule from AL (which I thought was a good compromise), but that didn't really work out in this game either.

Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is that if someone else wants to run with this, that would be great. I might be able to pull my head out long enough to even make a PC, but I don't think I can keep going as a DM -- it's just a bit too overwhelming for me at the moment.

You will notice that I did not roll for treasure until after you made it back to town -- I did not want to have to think about encumbrances :P

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Oh yes!
I forgot about that -- yes, you definitely gain a level after all that :)

Sorry, this is very long, but I wasn't sure if people were keeping track as we went along, and I needed to compile this for my own notes anyway.

Moonshae Treasure Hunt (BMG-MOON-1-1)

Loot
Magic
Warhammer +1 named “Spellbook” (from Witwulf’s grave in Blodvahrer)
Amulet of Health (19 CON) (silver locket from a goblin near Highrock)
Blunderbuss +1 (from the pirate, Boris Blutovich)
Rod of the Pact Keeper +1 (from Bulak, hobgoblin lieutenant)
Gem of Wrath: As a Bonus Action, enter into a wrathful state, 2/day. Grants advantage on attacks and WIS saves for 1 minute (transformed Goblinwrath, from Bulak)

My plan here was to have these items gradually increase in power/abilities as the campaign continued, but I didn’t have a clear path for that.

6 1 potion of healing
1 potion of climbing
1 potion water breathing
1 potion of advantage

Spellbook (from Ferdeth, 1st mate of pirate ship): (C) Fire Bolt, Mending, Prestidigitation; (1) Burning Hands, Detect Magic, Shield

Mundane Gear
Breastplate

Cash and Gems
2,100 cp
1,400 sp
280 gp
7 gems worth 50 gp each (total: 350 gp)
Bag of small gems (100 gp value)
Silver picture frame (5sp)

Important NPCs Encountered
Sister Barley, prophetess and druid of the Earthmother
Poppie Logan, Captain of the Shantu
Gulli Gormsson and Yrsa Gormsdottir, 15yo twins, probably sorcerers; and Gorm, their father, Initiate of the Flame (Olafstaad)
Winnow, clan Rustfire (Highrock)
Boris Blutovich, pirate captain of the Devil’s Regret (secret pirate island)
Antola Pilark, Great Druid of Alaron (Lehigh)

Plot Hooks
- Clan Rustfire in Highrock is making plans to drive the orcs and goblins out of the Fairheight mountains, and plan to eventually clear their way through the Tunnels of Dwarvenholm and reclaim the isle of Gwynneth.

- A silver-framed drawing of a Ffolk woman with the inscription “Dearest Sandra Taggard, Lily of Moray.” Found aboard the pirate ship.

- There’s a war against evil fey in Dernall Forest. Where did Goblinwrath come from? Did someone give it to Bulak?

Story Awards
- Witwulf’s “Spellbook”: You have retrieved the spellbook of Bronal Witwulf. The spellbook turned out to be an iron warhammer with an inscription that reads, “My Spellbook.” From the archives in Blodvahrer, you have learned that Bronal Witwulf was an adventurer infamous for acts of extreme strength and equally extreme lack of judgement. For a short time, his name featured prominently in the cautionary tales off Gnarhelm, but his fame has completely faded.

- Twin Destinies: While visiting the town of Bloodvahrer you came across a pair of twins, Yrsa and Gulli, who have arcane abilities. Blodvahrer is not a hospitable place for arcane casters at this time, and when the twins approached you for help in leaving town, you gave it. Traveling with the twins, even if for a short while has shown you that their powers are quickly growing in strength, but that unfortunately their control of them is not growing at an equal speed. It did however give you the chance to witness an actual rain of frogs. The twins left your company in Olafstaad to be reunited with their father who has joined a group called the Initiates of Flame. What the future holds for these two is anyone’s guess.

- Friends of Rustfire Clan: Friend of the Rustfire Clan. You have assisted Winnow Rustfire on her mission to attain a red pearl. She now considers you a trusted friend. This story award may come into play in future Moonshae adventures from Baldman Games, particularly CCC-BMG-MOON3-1, 3-2, and 3-3.

- A Debt Owed in Silver: You defeated Captain Bluto, and now he and the pirates of Silver’s Blade seek you out for revenge.

- A Dark Gem: You have recovered a mysterious gem named Goblinwrath for the Great Druid Antola Pilark. This gem carried with it an enchantment that caused goblins to become ferocious and feral while being biddable by the bearer. The origins of the gem are unknown, but Antola intends to find out and may call upon you to help her.

Going forward
I don’t have time to continue with this right now, but for anyone who’s willing, I purchased a bunch of the subsequent modules that I can send to you. We’ve just played Moon 1-1, and I also have 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, 3-1, 3-2, and 3-3.
Unfortunately, I bought them in numbered order without knowing that they don’t necessarily connect that way. More information about this campaign and how the various modules connect can be found at Moonshae Rising Shadows Story Paths.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Toki and Braith manage to wrestle the chest between them and, with Gideon's stealth and Jaylen's woodcraft, you are able to make your way back to the village of Lehigh without incident.

Antola Pilark, the Great Druid, thanks you for your service to the village: "Truly, we could not have held out much longer. The greater question that my colleagues and I would like to answer is how Bulak came to possess such an evil item. You might not be aware, but there's a war in Dernall Forest, and such powerful magic could have shifted the balance of power."

Antola thinks that the curse of Goblinwrath can be ... if not removed, then modified, contained, leaving you with a different sort of magical gem.

As for Bulak's hoard...

These adventures don't have specific treasures, so I'm going to roll on the tables in the DMG

DM Rolls:

6d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 2, 3, 1, 6) = 21 copper
3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 4) = 14 silver
2d6 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5 gold

1d100 ⇒ 101d100 ⇒ 93
2d6 ⇒ (2, 5) = 7 gems, worth 50gp each
1d4 ⇒ 2
1d100 ⇒ 47

2,100 copper pieces
1,400 silver pieces
50 gold pieces
7 gems worth 50 gp each (350 gp)
Rod of the Pact Keeper (+1)
Gem of Wrath (i.e., the converted Goblinwrath gem)

I'll post an adventure summary in the Discussion thread

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Jaylen-as-bear lumbers over:
Claw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Slashing: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 1) + 4 = 7

Bite: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Piercing: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

As a group, you make absolute mincemeat of Bulak the hobgoblin. Everybody's attacks hit!

The gem around his neck gives a final pulse of red that expands out in a circle, spreading through the walls of the cave and beyond. [ooc]The more intuitive among you suspect that it is calling out any other goblinoids who might be in the area.

You quickly grab the gem and the treasure chest next to the throne.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Baldur stamps your frequent flyer card as you fade away.

Unfortunately, you get a head rush from standing too quickly, and you stand clutching your head as the darkness threatens to take you again instead of swinging.

In any case, Bulak ignores you: "Dirty fey 'canist," he growls, as he swings again at the little harengon. "I've seen your true nature now, monster!"

Longsword, adv: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 241d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 51d8 + 2 + 1d8 ⇒ (5) + 2 + (4) = 11
Wow -- lots of crits this battle. Too bad I can't roll them when I'm a PC. Jacka-Lope takes 11 damage.

Round 4 (cont'd)
Toki (7 /20)

Bulak (-5)

Jaylen (14 / 34)
Jacka-Lope (3 / 17)
Braith (6 /17)
Gideon (8 /13)

Everyone may post their actions!

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Yeah, I think that's the issue -- I have two sheets on Chronicles but only one in Paizo. I've contacted the GM, but I know he's busy (he was running a local PFS group until about 3 months ago, when he had to take a step back). Anyway, hopefully he can fix that, and if not I guess I'll knock Greg to 4XP.

I haven't played with them a lot, but I think the local PFS group isn't as concerned about proper reporting, as long as you have your chronicle sheets with you. Or, at least, they were less so in the past -- I think they've become more diligent lately.

Jacka-Lope wrote:

There was only one wolf left and Jaylen killed it just before you used this ability.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps
Jacka-Lope wrote:
Were those 2 games reported? Rwputation help you get different things IIRC

I'm not sure how "reported" works -- I have chronicle sheets for them both and they are both in RPG Chronicles, but it looks like only one of them shows up in Paizo. I've spoken with the GM to see if the other can be pushed through, so we'll see.

I'm happy to just ignore all this until it gets sorted, or to just create a new character if you think this is going to be too messy.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Also, I think I've finally figured out what's going on with the PFS Chronicle Sheets. Since Greg has played in two low-tier games, he gained 8 XP and 28 gp. There's also 8 reputation with Envoy's Alliance, though I'm not sure how that's used / applied just yet.

Anyway, I think that means he's just 4 XP away from level 2!

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Jaylen smacks the wolf with a mighty paw, then places his powerful jaws around the wolf's throat until it surrenders.

The cute little bunny suddenly flickers, replaced briefly by a terrible, menacing, fey. The red gem around Bulak's throat flares red in opposition:

WIS save, adv, Goblin: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 51d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13
WIS save, adv, Bulak: 1d20 ⇒ 201d20 ⇒ 6

The power of Goblinwrath wins out!

Braith takes a swing at the remaining goblin, but melee combat just has not been going her way today! Luckily, a quiet prayer heals Toki.

Gideon pokes out once more at the goblin:
Rapier: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 231d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
finally managing to breach the goblin's defenses, and the goblin slides to the floor.

Round 4
Toki (7 /20)

Bulak (-5)

Jaylen (14 / 34)
Jacka-Lope (14 / 17)
Braith (6 /17)
Gideon (8 /13)

Toki is conscious again (if prone) at the start of Round 4, so feel free to post an action instead of that death save. Only Bulak is left, so I imagine this will go quickly!

Just waiting on some actions from Jaylen and Jacka-Lope

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Okay, I had a bit of time tonight and it looks like Long-Leg Greg (Versatile Human, Thief) is exactly the same in Remaster (aside from removing alignment and a couple of wording changes).

I'll have to relearn how to play PF2, but at least I have a character!

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Oh right -- cool
I have used Pathbuilder before, but I wasn't sure if they'd updated it with the Remastered content.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Yeah, sorry -- I realize now I should have been consistent. H = hobgoblin = Bulak

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

yeah
Mostly, I'm having a hard time figuring out if it's better to just start over. I can't really tell what's changed in the Remaster.

tbh, I just haven't had time to look through it. Work's been a lot and I've just been assigned extra projects that are going to chew up all of my free time between now and the New Year (I might just send them back -- I lost most of my summer to these people and I told them I wasn't doing it again)

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

I'd like to play the goblin cleric, but I think I'll have to rebuild him from scratch using the Remastered stuff. (None of our local shops carry the Remaster books -- I've ordered the Player Core online but we're in the middle of a postal strike, so who know when it will arrive.)

Anyway, depending when you want to start, I'll either rebuild him with the resources online or I'll play the Thief character, which will be easier to revise, I think.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Jaylen Bear's massive paw whips Goblin1 across the room, where it smacks limply into the wall. Braith scrambles to her feet, and immediately has to duck as a goblin goes sailing past her.

Jacka-Lope's magic boots Bulak in the keister; the hobgoblin looks toward the bunny, fury in his eyes. And Gideon stabs again at Goblin2: Rapier: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 91d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10, but cannot connect.

Round 3
Toki (0 /20)

Wolf 1
Bulak (-5)

Jaylen (14 / 34)

DM Rolls:

Bulak vs Toki, adv: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 61d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 241d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Crit!: 1d8 ⇒ 3
Wolf vs Jaylen, adv: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 241d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 212d4 + 2 ⇒ (4, 4) + 2 = 10
Crit!: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6
G3 vs Jacka-Lope, adv: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 181d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 61d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Toki slashes out with his handaxe but cannot get past Bulak's shield. Bulak retaliates with a devastating blow, knocking the Northman to the ground (Critical Hit! 13 damage) Surveying the room, he strides toward Jacka-Lope, calling out to Goblin3 as he does.

Goblin3 shifts their stance to slash Jacka-Lope (3 damage)

Meanwhile, the Wolf howls as the bones of its favourite goblin are shattered, then leaps to attack the bear, catching Jaylen under the arm, biting through fur and hide, pulling apart flesh and muscle. (Another Crit! 16 damage

Happy Turkey Day, friends!

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

I suspect that everyone here will be out until Monday (except me -- Canadian Thanksgiving is in October :D)

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

That's correct -- ranged attacks are at a disadvantage if you are within 5' of an opponent (because they can disrupt your aim).

(Also if you are shooting at someone who's prone, though that probably isn't what you are asking)

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps
Braith Ablewillow wrote:
Provided the Goblin or Wolf don't take Braith out on their turn...

Not to worry -- they both attacked Jaylen this round. Is Braith going to stand up, or is she attacking from the ground?

Also, whoops! I wrote: "Jaylen manages a parry at the last second, continuing to hold Goblin 3 at bay" but that should actually say Gideon. Don't want you to think Jaylen is taking on 3 enemies at once!

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Toki takes a chunk out one of the goblins as it races past: it's bleeding profusely, but it has not slowed down. Whatever magic is in that gem has erased everything but "kill" from the minds of these goblins. As he turns back, his axe crushes the chest of the goblin in front of him, leaving him facing Bulak alone.

INT save: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Jacka-Lope's spell has no effect on the goblin.

Braith is healed, thanks to Jaylen.

Gideon stabs his rapier at Goblin2 -- 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 201d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 -- grievously injuring it.

DM Rolls:

Bulak vs Toki, adv: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 231d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 191d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Wolf vs Jaylen, adv: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 91d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 82d4 + 2 ⇒ (4, 1) + 2 = 7
G1 vs Jaylen, adv: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 221d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 61d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

G3 vs Gideon, adv: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 131d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 71d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Bulak expertly gets his longsword past Toki's defenses, but only manages a scratch along the warrior's bicep 3 damage. Toki starts to wonder if he's being toyed with.

Surprised at the appearance of an enormous bear, the wolf back off from Braith, but just growls at Jaylen, snapping its teeth in the air. The goblin is less perturbed, and whacks the druid across the nose with its shield (4 damage)

Jaylen manages a parry at the last second, continuing to hold Goblin 3 at bay.

Ach, what a mess.
I do have an RPG Chronicles account, but only one of the sessions I played is there (looks like the GM didn't attach my character to my email or PFS number for the other one). For the one that is there (1-19), Reporting Status reads as "Not Reported" -- not sure why that is or how to fix it (or if it matters).

Anyway, let me know if you need any info.

Toki Sigurdson wrote:

Almost! But not quite

I'm just waiting for Jaylen to post -- I don't want to bot him as I figure he's going to want to shape change again and I don't want to dictate what that will be.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

I wish there was an easier way to check what needs to be changed for already-created characters, but since Long-Leg Greg was created using Pathbuilder, it looks like maybe he was automatically converted to the Remastered version (fingers-crossed...).

(also, and maybe I'm just tired, but AoN seems more difficult to navigate than I remember...)

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

"HAAA!!" Goblins 1 and 3 race straight past Toki, their eyes blazing red and spittle flying from their mouths. @Toki: You may use your reaction to take an opportunity attack against one of them.

The wolf slinks past Toki as well, following Goblin 1 to attack Braith. Meanwhile, Bulak swaggers up to Toki, swinging his longsword.

DM Rolls:

G2 vs Toki, adv: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 131d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 181d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Bulak vs Toki, adv: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 51d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 101d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

G1 vs Braith, adv: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 161d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 191d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

G3 vs Gideon, adv: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 111d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 51d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Toki fends off Bulak, but unfortunately leaves himself open to Goblin 2, who slashes him in the side. (8 damage)
Braith is slashed by Goblin 1, and then the wolf leaps on her, knocking her down and tearing at her throat. (Sorry Braith, that wolf got a crit: 18 damage)
Goblin 3's overly aggressive attack against Gideon fails to get past the rogue's defenses.

Lemme know if anyone wants to roll an Insight check; if not, I'll proceed with initiative.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

You advance through another narrow tunnel into a wide cave, made to look like a crude throne room:

This rather large cavern is a parody of a royal court. Tattered flags and banners hang from the walls, an enormous rug that is in several different pieces lies in the center of the chamber, and a large, broken throne dominates the southern end. Three goblins block access to a hobgoblin that sits on the broken throne. The hobgoblin sits unconcerned, petting a wolf sitting next to him. He wears a pendant whose stone is a highly polished gem that gleams red in the torchlight. “Who comes to my court uninvited? Explain your insolence!”

I moved your avatars into the room, but feel free to take up different positions (or let me know where you would like to be, if you can't access the map).

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Healing Potion, Jaylen: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (2, 2) + 2 = 6
That puts Jaylen at full HP. Whew! I thought I was going to have to roll a bunch of Death saves...

By my count, that's 4 of 6 healing potions used. Let me know if you want to do anything else before moving to the next room.

(My advice would be to abandon the plan to convert these wolves. It's a good idea, but I think gaining their trust would take more time than you have. Especially following a combat.)

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

I've completely forgotten how PFS works, tbh.

I'll revamp one or both of the characters that I've mentioned above. I'd like to play Long Leg Greg, but I recognize that a Thief character (like the tough of the gang) might not fit in well in a small group, so happy to make someone new also.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps
Jacka-Lope wrote:
The bunny hops around looking for treasure.

You don't find anything in this room other than what the goblins are carrying: short bows, arrows, scimitars, leather armour, shields. All in pretty bad condition.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

I haven't had a chance to go compile a list of the loot you've found so far (I'm not sure if one of the players was doing this), but when you returned the children, Gulli and Yrsa, to their father in the first of these adventures, you received:
5 potions of healing
1 potion of climbing
1 potion water breathing
1 potion of advantage

You also found a potion of healing in the first mate's cabin when you were prisoners on the pirate ship.

It doesn't look like any of those potions have yet been used (based on a quick search).

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Jaylen Death Save: 1d20 ⇒ 16

A reminder that Braith has healing spells, and iirc there are a few potions kicking around.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Gideon: 1d20 + 5 + 1d4 ⇒ (8) + 5 + (1) = 141d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Gideon sidles up to Goblin1 and is just able to slip his rapier past the goblin's defenses, killing it.

Jacka-Lope follows him, bouncing past the last wolf, but his attack does not connect.

Toki swings for the last Wolf:
Handaxe, nonlethal: 1d20 + 5 + 1d4 ⇒ (20) + 5 + (4) = 291d6 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 5 + (6) = 13
Crit!
caving in its skull.

Braith moves stands over the dead wolf, smacking Goblin 3 with her mace, killing it.

Okay, I'll have to look into what the changes were for the Remaster, but since it's been so long since I've played PF2, I might just have to rebuild them from scratch. (That shouldn't take too long, once I find the time to start!)
I did just buy the Core Rulebook about a year ago -- how big of an overhaul was the Remaster? Like, can I print out a dozen sheets of "errata" or am I looking at buying a new book?

Looks like Long Leg Greg has been in Scenario #1-19 (Iolite Squad Alpha and Scenario #3-05 (Inheritor's Rite) -- these were in the winter of 2023, so also before the remastering.

I think that if you wanted to play the cleric you would need to use the Remaster rules for him since he has no previous xp, but I like what the Remaster did for clerics.

Which scenarios has Long Leg Greg played?

I always like seeing the British/Canadian spelling of things

lol -- I can't help it. I'm an editor and if I start using American spellings online, I'll end up making mistakes at work :P

I'll have to look into the Remaster -- lemme know if that's on Archives of Nethys or if there's another link I should go to.

As for Long Leg Greg, I'll have to check my sheets when I get back from vacation tomorrow -- I can't remember what I played. There's a drop-in game every week around the corner from me, but unfortunately it's at a bad time for my schedule so I usually can't make it.

@Jacka-Lope: This is going to miss regardless, but I believe ranged attacks (including ranged spell attacks) are at disadvantage in melee.
