I will try again this fall so keep gideon around.

I guesd im just going to call this one quits. Nobody is really posting. Sorry tcg, and those who put in effort. Im just a reactive dm and i feel like im expected to lead you somewhere when i dont really have a place to lead you. Hopefully there are no hard feelings.

Sicsivicus if youd like to keep playing perhaps i can work you in with the holy vessels.

The drow walks directly to the park where there is a large crowd gathered in the green. Its a small park about the size of a city block. enshrouding the whole area is a thick cloud of smoke that smells familiar indeed. You can see barely through the haze that surrounding the park is a building that is most obviously the church, it looks like a mix between a theatre and a church however with a large open ampitheatre right out fromt. There are some shops and food places around as well as what apears to be a bar named "The Alibi."

People are all around. They greet you with cheer and many ask of your journey. Nothing specific just the general jist. Many more are curious about your "lizard" as well and a few people know enough to suggest that you must have visited the southern jungles on your journey. All around you people are having a great time chillaxing.

Your guide follows you Dardlara, he does not press you for information he simplt stays by your side and remains cheerfull.

I'm good to go for wrapping up, very good time. I have no clue how chronicle sheets work, as this is my first PFS.

Ok guys. This is for everyone. Would you like me to continue this game. I can always bring you together if necessary.

Harley, no need to roll initiative again.Sicsivicus, and Tronath, Feel free to act if Laanrah doesn't post soon guys.

From Grapple Rules:

Once you are grappling an opponent, a successful check allows you to continue grappling the foe, and also allows you to perform one of the following actions (as part of the standard action spent to maintain the grapple).

Gideon you catch the guide giving you a confused stare. He quickly looks away and shakes his head a bit. He wants to ask you something, his body language reveals it.

Yeh im not sure where the holy vessels are at either. Ive sent pms to those who havnt posted recently.

Merran and everyone. I encourage you to post your concerns and problems. I have no problem changing my style to suit you as long as its feasable for me to do so. Ive been posting from my phone a lot lately because of tourist season craziness on marthas vineyard right now. Im sure that has been effecting my formating and particularly the initiative thing. Ita just time consuming to check your char sheets on this thing. All should be well after today though as the craziest week comes to an end and i can find time to computer it up. I should have warned you about these things but i thought i could handle it. Word lets get back to it.

your roll was technically to maintain the grapple. If you succeed then you get the option to pin or other things for free. You failed to maintain so he gets free.

The foxes snout finishes growing as he lashes out at Tronath whom he sees as a threat.

Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Damage:1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Fort save DC 15 if it hits

Seeing his attack fail it seems a bit worried as it moves away from Tronath and behind a tree breaking a charge line from tronath to it. You can all still see it, however tronath cannot charge. You hear an interesting whine start eminating from it's mouth. Those with know(nature) easily recognize it as a distress call.

It provokes AoO from you Tronath, also Sicsivicus is that ready action just if it attacks you or would it attacking Tronath trigger it? Merran you are next.

As you walk through the fields your guide runs his hands over the tops of the plants as if petting them. the smile on his face is obvious as he shares eye contact with Dardlara. He often looks straight up at the sky and sighs in pleasure. He is silent otherwise.

Upon reaching the edge of town you can hear the low grumble of a crowd of people. You remember that the city is centered on a park with the shops and church surrounding it. Around that in a small grid is the entirety of the residential area. The town is decent sized. a pretty 11 by 11 block area with the park at it's core. There is greenery everywhere and not just Pot. Now that you are within the city the gardens are beautiful, aromatic, and well kept.

Your guide tips his ear towards the center of town, and the noise. Oh man, what a good day to come home hey Medaglia. It sounds like someone got a gathering going in the park. Hey maybe you could tell us all about your journey. Or perhaps give a sermon, were always down for that.

Initiative:
Tronath-16:grapple check fails fox is free
Sicsivicus-16:you're up
Fox-14:
Harley-7:Eats crackers and laughs
Merran-3:
Laanrah-2:

The ball of red fur continues to grow slipping from Tronaths grasp. You can tell now that it is humanoid and it no longer fits underneath the bush. It has a well developed muscle structure and brilliant red fur with large almost comical ears popping out of it's head. It's snout is still not full sized as you hear the bones crunching about finishing it's change.

Sorry if this isnt grooving with your style. The way I see it your sort of romping through the woods. Battles here cam sprawl out as things run away and regroup making a map generally difficult to use properly. I will have maps for places where they are agreeable to the fighting and scene.

As for the confuaion with where you are. I should have been more clear however i just went with the asumption that tracking takes time and distance to do. You didnt just look down and see no tracks and call it a day.

Now about Why you could only see a dark shape of the fox. Thats because the thing still had great concealment you just happened to beat its stealth so you know its there.

Finally, combat rounds are a bit of an abstraction. I uaually start combat with the first agressive action. Then the people who are aware of the situation get their suprise round. In this case tronath, and the fox were aware and acting so they went first. We are now in round 1 with sicsivicus starting us off. I described the fox slipping from tronaths grasp because we know thats going to happen on tronaths initiative. Basically im trying to make it a bit more cinematic than turn based. Sicsivicus now may do something different as he sees the fox slipping away. I plan to have proper initiative order with bigger more important battles. You guys are still in "tutorial forest", and only fighting one thing so it didnt seem neccisary.

I hope that was enlightening.

Not much, my lady. Things have been chugging along at a good pace. We've all just sort of been chilling. The harvest is good as always, life is good as always. You know... He trails off a big smile on his face. He enjoys keeping eye contact with you.

After a long trip through the forest of stinky trees you come to a field. Here you can see a more recognizable brand of herb. The plants are all chest high and in rows. They stretch on for miles in all directions until ending at the edge of forests. Far in the distance, along the edge of the eastern forest, you can see the edges of a town. The smell here is really overwhelming. Skunk does not do it justice.

Now would be the time if you have any preparations for entering town. This is the last week of crazyness here then I'm on a more relaxed schedule.

Sicsivicus, you're up. Tronath seems to be loosing his grip as the canines paws grow thick and handed.

Merran:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Laanrah:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

You easily grab hold of it as it yelps and starts to thrash and grow in your hands.

its been about 5 minutes you havent gone far. You can feel your magics fading but they are still in effect.

Initiative1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Please roll. Id do it myself but ive been stuck using my phone for some days now. Cant get the time to sit at the computer.

You see a dark shape crouched low in the bush. You still can't completely make it out from the shadows but it has a distinctive canine appearance and large ears. It is tiny.

The bush does not budge. From your vantage Harley, you could easily tell if it had tried to move. It hasnt. The rest of you dont see what shes talking about.

Sorry guys been covering for my sick coworker so free time is not around. Finally day off tomorow so ill be on to bring you into arcata. Also we lost nicloae so that stinks.

Enisald you know all about weed. Go check wiki if you personaly dont know about it.

The drow happily obliges anf smokes many bowls with you on the trip home. Feel free to ask any questions. He does not question you.

harley:
you see a flash of red fur dart behind a bush in front of you and to the right. You heard nothing as it moved.

i think im going to start making these rolls for you guys. Still figuring out what works best.
Harley:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
Merran:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

Tracking is doing you no good. Perhaps ita been covered or maybe youre in the wrong place.

perception will have to do. Please roll everyone.

1d20 ⇒ 7

::cat dead, what loyalty to dead, only freedom to dead:: you hear this harley as you and Laanrah crouch over the beast.

Most definitely good.

Oh dude, i feel that sentiment. You want to get down on this? He hands you the product. It's good stuff, I was just bout to harvest some more in fact. I'll get some for you. He climbs the nearest tree in a flash and you hear him mumbling to himself up there. He drops down next to you with two giant nugs the size of sequoia pinecones. My lady, sorry I didn't recognize you. I trust your pilgrimage was fun times. Here I got this for you.

Anyone else want to chime in here. I know harley just killed it, but feel free to stop that action if you wish. Otherwise we can move forwards.

Harley in response to your question you see an image of a man. But there are no features its blurry and shadows. It looks sort of like a bathroom man sillouette. No distingushing features but most definitely humanoid. You are overcome by a sense of noatalgia.

The cat purrs softly as you sing. Slowly dying.

::Edward, cat, cat eat wolf, you eat wolf, cat eat you. cat dead...::

As you all stand around you hear the sounds of footsteps coming from the west. You don't see anything but have time to hide, or whatever you wish.

After about 30 seconds you see a figure come out of the concealment of the trees. Still walking, he reaches into his pocket and takes out a small metal canister. It is rectangular, metal, and about the size of a matchbook. From behind his ear he draws a thick white "cigarette" and in a flurry of movements involving the canister he lights it up and takes a big long toke. As the cherry lights up his face you recognize him as a drow. He doesn't see you, either because your hiding, or because he's oblivious currently.

The leopard is breathing, but barely. It doesn't look like it will survive much longer. The spot where the ray hit it is still smoldering. The smell of burnt hair fills your nostrils. You can tell that something is different about it though, you're not really sure. You are close to where the Witch indicated she had seen the WereFoxes. Perhaps it is a Were as well. Taking a blood sample could prove fruitful, though you're sure it would kill the thing.

You detect nothing out of the ordinary in the immediate vicinity. No psionics, apart from all of yours, no other minds, nothing hiding. Well except for the injured wolf who's making a racket running to the north west.

Tronath - if your heal was to stabilize you are successful.

Hits and its unconsious. Time for bed here. Give me perception and stealth if you move forwards.

The cat tries full on running, as hiding isn't doing it any good. It drops from the tree and starts bounding as fast as it can to the north-east. It's easy to keep an eye on it.

Harley you only detect thoughts from those you know about near the cat.

Tronath, your arrow slices through it's side . It looks pretty beat up, blood oozes from it's two gashes.

Round 3
Laanrah - Summons Pet.
Sicsivicus -
Cat - Probably runs the heck away
Wolf - continues Runnning north west
Merran -
Harley -
Tronath -

20% miss chance considering it can move 30ft and you only saw 10ft of it's movement. So it had 20ft to go and with a 10ft radius you have a very good chance of getting it. Low means miss.
1d100 ⇒ 24
Will:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

You all see a cat glowing in the sunlight up in a tree now 50 ft from where It Attacked Sicsivicus.

The wolf is startled as you pop into view right on top of it. It's all too much for it as it tries to book it away from you and the cat. It provokes another attack Merran.

Sorry, Tronath I missed your Know Nature roll. That's a wolf, no question. The cat is a leopard, and judging by the way it holds itself it is intelligent. It's motions are not beastial enough, they are calculated.

The cat moves slowly to the end of it's branch, then leaps to a close tree disappearing behind the branches.

Acrobatics:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Stealth:1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28 Roll reactive perception to see it

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14

The wolf turns it's eyes to Sicsivicus, you can see the fear of Predator, turned Prey. It stands it's ground, for now, though you can tell it is looking for a means to escape successfully.

Edit:sorry for not waiting for you Merran. I didn't know you would be on right now. This is what really happened.

The cat flees from Sicsivicus, taking a nasty wound to it's hind quarters. It climbs up a tree without any problems and takes cover behind some branches. Two death rays barely miss the two animals as Tronath transforms into a massive behemoth. The wolf gets up and starts a low growl slowly backing away. At which point it provokes from Merran.

Round 2:
Wolf-Readied action.
Laanrah -
Sicsivicus -
Cat -
Merran -
Harley -
Tronath -

Sorry again for missing it.

Laanrah Takes a swipe at the cat as it drops from Sicsivicus' back.

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

So a miss then, we move to merran, I'm going to assume you glitterdust first as stated. Since the cat has fled you cannot get the wolf as well.

Will save:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

Sorry, were there specific Items not listed as available? If it fits into your budget, it has been made for you. I can't find a list of items in your profile? Also I don't remember you asking for anything special? what do you need from me, so I can do it.

Yeh sorry, suprise round was just the cat, who was suprising, and Harley, who saw it. Then we started normal rounds. The cat rolled a 15 and I described that it would run away on it's turn. Sicsivicus beat it's init so He went 1st in round 1. Laanrah also beat it but I don't know where she is. I will start rolling Init for you guys if that's cool with you.

Round 1 Initiative:
Laanrah - 20 (Will wait a bit more to see if she posts)
Wolf - (does nothing for now, muscles are tense)
Sicsivicus - 17 (hit the cat)
Cat - 15 +7 mod (full withdraws up a tree 30ft away 15ft up)
Merran - 15 +2 mod (Which action would you like to do round 1)
Harley - 9 (will shoot two rays that miss because of prone and cover)
Tronath - 2 (buffs)

1d20 ⇒ 19: Wolf Init

Harley, Why is your first attack black text? Could you please reroll that. Unless this is a glitch I don't know about.

You find a prone wolf a difficult target. Perhaps it's the distance, or perhaps the way it blends into it's surroundings. The shot flies high over it's back.

Harlequin, you are still doing that spell wrong. If you use the thrust effect the duration is instantaneous meaning you do not have to concentrate as the spell and effect are over. Also concentration in the manner required by spells with duration is simply a standard action, I believe, not a roll. Finaly the thrust power makes no mention of a ranged Touch attack. It's vs regular AC. Feel free to do another action, or spend the 5pp to re-manifest the power on the Wolf.

Please Roll Initiative Vs the Cat.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

The Cat looks like it's about to run away.

it Full withdraws into a tree, and cover, unless you beat it's Init. It is still visible, but is moving away as fast as it can. Sicsivicus is Flat-Footed, you and it went in surprise round. Also, from Telekinetic Force power description. If you use the thrust option of this power, the duration is instantaneous.

Laanrah Itit:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20 Just havent seen you on for a bit hope you don't mind

So the one above get's a will save to avoid the thrust, DC 19 I believe.:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

The cat that was hiding above Sicsivicus, uses the force from your power to drive it's body down onto Sicsivisus's back. It tears wildly at him raking with it's back claws.

Attacks:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 91d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 201d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Damage:1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 111d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 51d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Sicsivicus, I don't know your new AC or Flat-footed but please take whatever damage hit your flat-footed AC. It missis the bite for sure so no grab.

The cat lands at your feet. It gets low ready to leap in any direction.

Telekinetic Force:

Creatures are allowed Will saves (and power resistance) to negate the effect, as are those whose held possessions are targeted by this power. Creatures are not allowed a Will save if an object is thrust at them through the use of this power.

So the Cat gets will to avoid being thrust into the wolf. The wolf gets no save but you have to roll to hit his Normal AC not touch.

Thrusting objects, not people, does not allow a will save. It was a great Idea though, the cat just rolled well.

Sic, you eventually come upon a wolf laying down completely still. You could tell while following it that it was bleeding. You see slight motion from it's chest.

1d20 + 15 ⇒ (11) + 15 = 26

I'm just assuming you're all following a bit behind Sicsivicus.

Harley:

You see it now up in the trees. Something medium sized is crouching on a limb over Sicsivicus as he bends down to check a track and he and you spot a wolf in the brush up ahead. What would you like to do?

I moved you guys on the map, if that helps.

You follow the tracks for a ways before you notice a second set. You would have missed it if you weren't so damn good. There is a cat following the wolf. Judging by the impression, it is smaller, and is walking right in the wolfs footsteps.

You continue tracking it and find blood on the forest floor. There are bits of fur and a claw. It looks like the two met each, other here. There are distinct signs of the wolf running to the north west, but nowhere are there tracks on the ground from the cat.

You know that the Witch said the lycanthropes were further east.
